Dabbert, perusing the weapons and armor but not saying much, finally looks up when Tobias says something about Thuribula's friends having coin.
"I have coin to spend on her uh...behalf." He says to Tobias. "But uh...we're new in town. Still working on getting a little money together, as I think you've discerned."
He looks at Maggwyn, then Thuribula.
"Sounds like we have a good goal when we head into town now. Tobias, I'm sorry, I uh...didn't catch where you said the deposit was. Mind to tell us what you heard?"
Tobias looks to her and offers her a slight shrug about the academy. He thinks for a moment crossing his arms.
"If anything Orson might tell you what he knows. He handles all the the Delirium selling, he's not far from Aldor and Armin but he'll likely charge you for the info. I believe more in being straight forward with my customers myself."
Fazil and Sinak come to the caravan court. Sinak looking for Armin Gainsbury with a purpose and in a short time he managed to do just that.
The place was full of tents.. Wagons and carts all these shops were mobile if need be.
Armin's caravan is loaded high with boxes and barrels of goods. Laid out on a small table are samples of climbing gear, cartographer’s instruments, goggles, heavy leather gloves, mining picks, torches, tongs, and assorted tools for navigation and survival in the ruins.
A man with the build of a beanpole wearing goggles and spectacles looks to Sinak with a smile.
“I guarantee you won’t survive long in Drakkenheim without a good rope and a full lantern! Best buy them while supplies last! For starters you look armed friend! You'll need some mining tools and heavy leather gloves.. Unless you have undamaged heavy gauntlets you ain't touching Delirium trust me! The Mining Tools are 4 gold the heavy leather gloves 1 gold. Although to take larger chunks of Delirium takes knowledge.. I've a pamplet on just that for a single gold! To get started exploring those ruins it'll be 6 gold for all this. Not too bad if I say so myself."
"Do you happen to buy stuff, like a Spell Scroll?" Fazil asks the salesman first to see the market price. If no one is buying them, then he is willing to chip in for the party by paying 6 for the starter set needed to harvest Delirium safely.
Sinak notes the goggles and says “Your eyes, does the Delirium do something to your eyes? Are goggle necessary? I’m interested in the “starter pack” as you say, but… can’t you do a little better on the price? Eren sent us! (Pointing to Fazil and himself) We helped him out with a little “guard duty” and helped to watch over his wagon load. He mentioned that you could give us a deal, what do you say?” Sinak stands there appraising him, rubbing his chin.
Tobias looks up at Dabbert, ready to make the trade for the 17 gold and 5 silver alongside her old armor to refit her chainmail. Than Dabbert mentions the depoist.
"Supposedly it's up champions away somewhere in the main entrance. As for where exactly? I don't know, I know adventurers are prepping for it today and many are heading out tomorrow to find it."
Armin looks to Fazil and shakes his head.
"Nah, Aldor deals with that stuff but I'll warn ya friend he'll ask how long you're scroll last. Some mageborn apprentices recently gave him scrolls that crumbled to dust in 24 hours. They were laughing... At first you don't wanna cross Aldor my friendly advice to you!"
Armor than crosses his arms looking to Sinak before chuckling almost laughing.
"This is the price my friend I won't go a gold down this is cheap around here as is. Every new group that comes here usually ask for a bargain so I'm used to this but if Eren is sending people to purposely bug me further on this? If he said the words that I would go lower than market price. When he knows how things are around here? Tell him I'm done.. Talking to him. He can get his expedition supplies somewhere else. So are you buying? Most people don't the first day I'll admit. Course they usually regret it later."
Fazil notes down the warning, "And where is Aldor right now? I'm considering forming a long-term business relationship with him, as for the scrolls that crumbled to dust in 24 hours. He must have dealt with a greedy, foolish Mageborn. Something I won't try to be one." Then, he looks at Sinak. "If the business works out, then I can chip in more after I finish making a Spell Scroll. But, it would take an entire day, so you have time to consider buying it now or after we meet up with this Aldor person and potentially have more gold after I deliver the Spell Scroll."
"Orson? Got it, thanks." Maggwyn waits until Dabbert and Thuribula finish with the blacksmith and as they leave, "Let's head over to the Caravan and see what the others have drummed up. I'd also like to find this man Orson."
When they find the rest, Maggwyn will also inquire about the "starter-kit" hearing Armin's words on Eren she smirks. She ends up pulling out the 6 gold from Eren's payment and handing it over. "Also, I have been told there was an Orson around here?"
Thuribula smiles. "My friends here are not beholden to me, I will ask no boon of them," she says. But, a troubled expression crosses her face as Tobias mentions his interest in some pieces of delerium. She bows her head thoughtfully, in the cast of the eyes to the ground that Flamekeepers are trained to. O Sacred Flame, most everyone is here in proximity to Drakkenheim because they seek this deadly and intoxicating substance. Likely also those whom I arrived here with, except perhaps Fenton, if his appetite for truth is truly greater than any lust for the power that delerium may grant. She takes a deep breath. I am not here for that, indeed I must always stand against it, but I cannot accomplish my task alone. Lightly she taps her gloved fingers against the insignia of the Sacred Flame hanging at her belt. Those in darkness may at any time stumble into the Light... then we must be ready to receive them, not in gall nor bitterness but as if we only waited the day with the greatest hope.
"I thank you for the offer, Tobias," she says, after a moment. "Myself, I deal less in delerium than I do in coin. But perhaps I can work something else out. I have not been yet to visit the church, and to greet my brethren there. I will submit to their wishes for equipping me, their servant. You came highly recommended, and perhaps they may make the difference to you, if they approve of my mission here." She replaces Rikard's splint mail in her backpack, and shoulders it with a smile. "I will see you again soon, and may the Light be with you, Tobias."
Thuribula looks to her companions, most of whom seem anxious to make their way to the Caravan Court. "I believe that the church is there in the town center, as well," she says to Dabbert and Mag. "I must pay a visit there first, but I will not be far." Following the others towards the center of town, she nods good naturedly to them as she separates temporarily from the group to approach the church looming reassuringly there over the Caravan Court.
"I have no need to haggle for a better price, after all we have no standing here to offer. I am sure if we become regular customers then we may be able to get a better deal but for now I am happy to pay for the 6 gold. Its a small price to pay for a little protection."
Fenton hands over the 6 gold. He puts the gloves on flexing his hand and shaking his head. "Meh, guess I will only wear them if I have to, to restrictive for average use."
"Hopefully, this Aldor person would be willing to strike a long-term deal with me in spell scrolls. It would quicken our startup fund while staying here."
Dabbert prepares to hand over the money for Thuribula to Tobias. He continues asking about the delirium rumor.
"Up uh...Champions Way. Got it. Sounds like a pretty hot commodity. How many have you heard talking about going out to find it tomorrow?"
He pauses as Thuribula decides she'd rather petition the church for equipment. He waits a moment, then replaces her cut of coin back in the bag. He watches her then as she sets off for the church.
"I'll...hold on to it for uh...now." He says, pursing his lips as he speaks of the coin.
“Fine.” Sinak says, opening up his pouch. “You didn’t answer my question though about the goggles. Are they necessary? In people who interact with Delirium, is there any effect on the eyes?” He forks over the 6 gold pieces and takes the starter pack with mining gear and the heavy gloves. “Any other equipment that you suggest?”
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Straight forward and to the point and straight on the payment too! Yeah Orson's around here in the Caravan court he ain't far I can point ya the directions."
And with that he exactly shows her where he is, he's only half a street away in the same caravan court as the rest of them if she wishes to go now.
Meanwhile with the blacksmith Tobias offers a wide grin to Thuribula's words.
"Not beholden huh? Here they say adventurers are just vultures scrapping and begging for deals while trying to steal. I won't lie in Emberwood.. People are wary of you're sort walking around in parties. You prove though that it isn't always the case! You've a good heart. If I could afford to fit you're outfit for free I would merely on principal I apologize truly."
Thuribula makes way through the court before coming to the church of Saint Ardenna's she can hear a hymn of faith inside.
Located at the heart of Emberwood Village the small chapel of the Sacred Flame. The circular fieldstone building has a copper domed rooftop, thin windows set with stained glass, and simple wooden double doors. Outside is a small crematory garden and scattering plot for the ashes of the dead. Within the chapel is a bronze brazier of the Sacred Flame, alight with golden fire that burns all night and day. It serves as a peaceful place of quiet worship in the harsh wasteland surrounding Drakkenheim.
There are a few people here bowing with a hum. A woman in Silver Order armor and beside her two male knights in the same! Talking.. To a priest that lays in holy robes.
"Please... Hanna you must fight beside the Silver Order it is us who represents the Sacred Flame."
"Ophelia.. I am sorry but the church of Westamar must remain neutral in this holy war of yours. We will serve the flame and accept all who wish to pray, be they Falling Fire or Silver Order. We cannot afford more bloodshed here in Emberwood my old friend."
Meanwhile Armin grins to Fenton with a nod.
"I like the cut of you're gem pal! They say Angels are stuck up guess they were wrong!"
He looks to Sinak upon his question of goggles.
"Oh, I know normally I don't offer much with adventurers who haggle to be honest but.. You're friends are straight shooters and I like that. Goggles eh? Only if dust gets in the eye. Not like it protects you from Haze or Deep Haze so you only need them if you're careless. Also for Aldor... He likes returning customers but he'll only pay half value for anything you give him magical or otherwise and he charges double. Think I'm greedy? That man's a tycoon trust me but... Hell if it doesn't make him rich I gotta respect the man's craft honestly."
Meanwhile with Tobias Dabbert prepares to hand him the money as Thuribula leaves.
"Ahh if you're sure than I'll fit it well for her. Keep an eye on her soldier she's a good one. Not many pure hearts left in this world. Hm? Going for the deposit? That information will cost ya! Kidding, I've heard a few parties talk of it but I only think one of them's got a real chance of making it to be honest. Feel free to return when you're ready to help her gain that armor!"
Back to the Caravan court with Sinak, Armin looks at the man. Though he was gruff before it seems to him more a lesson he teaches new found hagglers and he seems quickly over the event.
"Any other equipment? From me? Nah, I could lie and say I do but you're good to go. I mean rope and such is useful but you guys seem to already be carrying rope and other basic things like that. I do recommend you don't push yourselves too hard in Drakkenheim in the first day. Adventurers get addicted to fighting in the haze.. Pushing themselves to near death limits. They say it can make you stronger rather exponentially but more often than not it will kill you. That's why Hooded Lanterns avoid as much fighting as possible when they travel through."
OOC For the Silver Order Knight's and the church I shall give more detailed description as she gets closer.
Thuribula approaches the chapel, its shining dome and stained glass windows already making her smile with relief as the turmoil of the village drops away for a moment. She quietly pushes through the wooden doors, making the customary gesture and bow upon beholding the burning brazier. Then, she straightens, elated to see the Silver Order knights and another Flamekeeper, like herself. But she pauses in her approach towards them as she overhears their conversation.
The church in Westemar remains neutral on a point firmly decreed by the Holy City in Elyria? No, she must mean that she welcomes all worshippers of the Faith without questioning their doctrine. Surely, if they come to her for counsel, she will advise them privately on the dangers of the Falling Fire.Thuribula takes a deep breath, quelling her momentary fear that she has walked not into a bastion of the True Faith, but into a place where she cannot rely on hierarchical support. And, she knows little enough about the activities of the Silver Order, but these might, perhaps, be familiar with Euthymius' crusade of some short years ago.
So, she does approach, and bows. "Greetings, Flamekeeper, and greetings, honored knights. My name is Thuribula, and I have recently arrived to Emberwood from Elyria. I have a holy mission to Drakkenheim, and I have come to request your prayers and your counsel."
Hanna looks to Thuribula and gives a nod clasping her hands together.
"Another pilgrim of the faith, I am Flame Keeper Hanna. Flame Keeper... That still surprises me at times. Not that long ago I was an acolyte but faith can reveal itself in strange ways."
Despite Opehlia and Hanna's disagreements before, Ophelia looks to Hanna with a soft smile.
"You're very talented already using 3rd level divine miracles. Emberwood is lucky to have you."
"Aww, that won't change my mind Ophelia but thank you."
Ophelia offers Hanna a genuine smile even if Hanna's stance is strong.
Put your spoiler here.
(Ophelia's appearance.)
Ophelia's eyes come alight as Thuribula mentions her home of Elyria.
"Like most of the Silver Order that too is where I am from. I am surprised the high priestess, the Matriarch hadn't sent you as more reinforcements for Theodore. You must be on a personal pilgrimage than? I'd admire that. I am a Flamekeeper as well. I'd be more than willing to help but if you prefer to speak with Hanna that is okay as well. My name is Ophelia Reed a pleasure."
Hanna nods with Ophelia in a smile.
"Whatever it is you're heart desires child."
"Ahh! I should introduce the two knights here with me. Well.. Boys introduce yourself!"
The blonde perks up he seemed almost half asleep at least until Thuribula had entered.
Put your spoiler here.
(His appearance.)
Wearing silver plate mail, it was clear that Ophelia's armor was only of the chainmail variety and yet the two knights seemed to be under her own command.
"I'm Arthur! Arthur Chevalier! A knight of the Silver Order! I'm not a Flame Keeper... so nothing too special! ..Wow! Thuribula right? You're gorgeous! Are you secretly an angel? Oh I love you're armor! Do you fight a lot? We should spar sometime you and me! I always love a good fight!"
The other knight beside Arthur had elbowed him lightly as the blonde tilted his head curiously at the man.

Wielding a full size lance in one hand, while a shield in the other also in silver plate he looked to Thuribula with a bow.
"Dante Underwood, and Arthur fails to mention that he is a paladin not just by title but wields divine magic."
Ophelia's smacks Arthur on the shoulder.
"Don't just call a girl gorgeous most Flame Keepers will take offense! Also don't downplay yourself! It's true your studies need... Work. Still you're a cavalier a gifted Paladin that even Theodore has recognized and with you're magic so has the sacred flame!"
"I should have faith in myself cause of that? Even the Falling Fire has divine magic though and their trying to mess everyone up with that Delirium stuff! I don't "Feel" special but thank you! Also I didn't know complimenting someone could upset them..
"Arthur..."
"Ahh speaking of which I forgot I have some fragments to destroy!"
He pulls out a small bag filled with fragments of Delirium, each fragment (Bigger than a chip) could sell at 50 gold a piece and worth 100 gold in terms of spell components easily. They can substitute any spell component at least.. That's the rumors Thuribula heard of the unholy crystal. Arthur seemed however ready to destroy them at a moments notice.

"People are so stuck up on how one is suppose to act all because of how they look. I am nothing more then a man who was blessed from birth. Thank you for the equipment and the advice on the gloves."
Armin crosses his arms giving Fenton a glance before looking back to the church of Saint Ardenna in the distance. He gives the Aasimar a nod before looking to Fazil.
"Ahh, he's around here at the Caravan Court."
With that he marks exactly where Fazil can find Aldor and like Orson he isn't very far at all it would seem.

This post took a second so if someone one posted while I was writing this I'll have to edit this post to include everyone's actions in it! ^^
"People are so stuck up on how one is suppose to act all because of how they look. I am nothing more then a man who was blessed from birth. Thank you for the equipment and the advice on the gloves."
"And where is Aldor at, exactly?" Fazil hopes the price isn't too high, but it is something helpful in the long run.
Fazil waits for the others to finish their business before heading to Aldor.
Hopefully, the prices aren't too much.
