“Sounds good to me. Mind if I get one of those potions today? I mean, dangerous business we have hear…” Kit’s mind already drifts to bathing in honey and beer a couple of days from now.
Vishtai doesn't have everything ready to go now but will have it all delivered to your rooms tomorrow, if you tell him where you're staying. Otherwise, unless you have any other business to do here, you can spend the rest of the day doing something else. The meetup with Garra will happen tomorrow so you won't need the potions till then he reckons.
With the rest of the day off, you can carouse in Sharn's entertainment districts or go see Germaine or go do some personal quests. Whatever you want.
Mark will want to ask for time off at work and ask his neighbor to watch his cat, blade, while he does a multi-day job. The Mark should be free to do anything y'all want.
Elero has an idea to improve his DistractoPhone, as he's named it, since it didn't quite do its job during the chase from the tavern, so he'll head back to the place where we stayed the previous night and get to work on it.
“Maybe a drink nearby our accomodations?…” Kit raises his eyebrows suggestively to the party. “thanks Vishtai, pleasure doing business.”… Kit begins to leave and once out of earshot of Vishtai he mumbles under his breath “a drink and figure out how we double dip on this posh bunch, as well as the sergeant.”
You all can find yourselves back to Middle Dura, where Ghallanda Hall is. When asking around, people mention a tavern called The King of Fire, a comfortable tavern and gambling hall, known as one of the safest places to bet on the Race of Eight Winds and the events at the Hollow Tower. When you walk in, people are milling and talking about the Race. It seems things are heating up as people make bets and argue about competitors, an electric energy surround you.
You all find an empty table and order drinks. Sitting down and discussing recent events and upcoming plans.
If anyone wants to do any roleplaying or gathering of information here feel free. Otherwise i'll move on to the next day in a few hours
Elero will just follow, curious about the group discussion. Everything seemed straightforward to him earlier, but he knows the party seems to view things differently, so he's eager to hear about double-dipping posh...somethings.
“I mean,” Kit says with soggy whiskers dripping with ale froth. “We should just be open to the idea of playing the sergeant and Oriens against each other. Profit to be made, is all.” He takes another gulp. “Hadn’t planned anything yet. We could always kidnap that kid ourselves, maybe, sweet little randsom, blame it on the last kidnapped.” The last part he says a little more quietly. “Or whatever, we should rest up.”
“Playing two very powerful people at the same time is a recipe for disaster. We must play the long game here. Be the heroes.” Mark says, hoping to keep things low key for now.
"The long game seems like the safer approach," Elero says, feeling the scar from the kobold earlier. "As does rest." He smiles at Kit. "Maybe in the future we can double a posh dip, though. It sounds intriguing."
If you've nothing else to discuss tonight you all turn in at Ghallanda Hall, smartly working your way around a couple arguing over the outcome of the Race bets that night. You wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready for your confrontation with Garra. Mark off a Long Rest, as well as upping to Level 2. Feel free to roll Hit Points is you feel lucky, otherwise just take the average.
When you go to the front desk the halfling attendant gives you a package, it contains 6 Potion of Healing, as well as a Crossbow, Heavy, +1. It also contains a note that reads"
"This is most of what we discussed. I'm still working on the other magic items but hopefully these are enough for now, i'll get in touch in the next couple of days once i can work it out. The Crossbow is called Dreamkiss, If you hit an opponent in a vital body part, it puts them to sleep as well as causing maximum damage." OOC: On a critical hit it puts someone to sleep, the note reads on, "Additionally, the meetup with Garra is organised for this afternoon at Terminus Lightning Rail Station. Again, it is very important that House Orien is not connected to this matter. Once Garra is dealt with, we are done with this matter."
Before bed you overhear Kit whispering something like a prayer. “Dear aunty Krak, please oh please make mine eyes even keener. and that smelly dog and its kobold henchlings almost got away from us, let’s make it harder for ‘em to run. Heheheee.”
kit curls up at the end of a cot and wakes up feeling stronger.
In the morning he heads to the front desk to check what his new benefactor bestowed. He swipes one of the potions, makes a huffing noise realising he’s have to pay for his beer and honey today.
Centurion spend the night sitting on the bed in a restful pose before coming alert before first light, when he once again he checks over all his equipment very carefully. At the appointed time is waiting downstairs for the others with a sharpened sword and a deep green light in his eyes.
Elero is glad he only needs four hours of rest, because this was a busy night. He joins the group in the morning after spending the wee hours applying his new skills to enhance his studded leather armor, enable one of his daggers to return to him after being thrown, and crafting a Bag of Holding.
"Good morning, all," he says cheerfully. "This should be an exciting day."
Mark slept fine, and when he sees his crossbow he cracks a smile. “Happy to see the gift came to us quickly. I believe we should get to the location so we can cause it and find a good place to attack from a far if needed.”
Kit, again, this morning, failed to notice Mark arrive and almost drops his potion. "Erheemm, yes good morning everyone, morning Mark. Hey Mark, when are you going to invite us over to your crib?" Kit jests before his face turns dead serious, "but I agree, train stations can be chaotic places, would be good to scope the place. Any other errands we need to run before hand?"

"As for keeping your little secret, we would be happy to for the fee," Mark says with a sly smile thinking of the gold.

Centurion silently wonders what there is to do, but shrugs and looks at Mark & Kit.

"Uh, sure," Elero replies, "if the party wants to do more planning, I'll come along, though you'll have to explain what double dipping is."

Mark will grab a drink but will not bet, he doesn't like gambling unless he is the one rigging it.
