"Okay, so how about we do the undead crypt in the city, get to know each others abilities better, and then we go on the day long trip to help with wolves? If it's still up by then, we can do the explosion job alright?" asks Johann. He looks about for confirmation.
"You know... even when the blowing up things idea is appealing, I tend to agree that undeads are nasty creatures and bad neighnours to have around. The wolf problem... I hope that while we take care of the undeads I am able to convice you to approach that one with an open mind more than "go there and kill the bad bad wolf" You know... without a bad influence that controls them, they usually are just hungry animals... no need to wipe them out for that, right? " he moves his hands in the air " but I am going ahead of myself, what do you say? ready for some undead hunting? I've heard that their stench is a little bit less unberabeable in the morning... "
"We go where the undead are and... we destroy them. Prefirably without waking them up if they are letargic " he turns to the dragonborn and adds in low voice " more easy to clean all that brains and rotten flesh later you know... " he winks to him.
“Nonsense. Any legionnaire will tell you to get your kip whenever you can.”
"My sergeant always used to tell us that we should never stand when we could sit, to never sit if we could lie down, and if we were lying down we might as well get some sleep while we were there."
"There you are! " smiles the elf "In fact, I remember the history of Brentharil Dar'oash, a renowed relic hunter from the Semper Forest. He was looking for a cairn where the remains of a dread war lord were buried seven hundred years ago. But he was lost among the mist that covered that hilled land. There were so many hills and so many cairns that he thouhgt he would never find his quarry. He was even at the brink of his sanity, for the mist and the continued uphill-downhill movementes seemed to last forever. " he makes a dramatic pause, making sure that everyone is listening to him " And then it was when he heared it. A deep, grave snoring sound that guided him with his rhytmic cadency to the tomb of Klonthis VI, the Snorer. He sneaked into the cairn and recovered the lost Horn of Rutnagair, and leaved the place before the sleeping undead could had noticed a thing. " he looks to the others, smiling.
( No insight check needed. Obviously I am making it up as I write, but not him. He has read about this someplace. So he really thinks it's truth and that he is telling it.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Can I roll Religion to check how much Dar knows about undead?: 18 )
(Not bad. Let me know if the next is ok or should i retcon)
”Nevertheless “ says the elf “It is known the some kind of undead becoma lethargic during the daylight, and that all depisesunlight, for some beign even the only way to effectively destroy them. So my guess is tht we were safer if we go during the day “
It is common knowledge that there is a huge crypt within the temple ward where people of all faiths are buried. Those who keep up with the news know that a weird necromancer attempted to raise an army there, forgetting that there are plenty of clerics nearby to turn all of his creations. The necromancer didn't last long, so it didn't make huge headlines.
The Missions Office
Headed down to the bottom floor (there are pads which absorb falling damage to allow people to just "drop" to the ground and do superhero landings), the group follow the signs to the missions office. The group heads through a set if double doors to find a small office with a single wooden desk. Seated behind it is a huge grotesque looking woman who looks like she may be part trollkin. Her warty grey skin seems to shimmer with a layer of sweat as she looks at the group enter, her bulbous body clothed in a long green gown. On her hand she seems to have a silver ring.
"welcome to the missions request room." She says in a monotone rumble. "are you here to accept a mission?"
"team azure claw..."The woman trails off as she takes a file out of the desk and begins to flick through it. "always giving stupid names... here it is." The woman says flatly as she takes a piece of parchment out and then stamps it before handing it over. "have fun with the undead."
The piece of parchment seems to be filled with a lot of strange jargon, but can be deciphered into the basic information below.
Name: Brother Benedict Description: Human priest, shaven head, slender and short, worshipper of Tymora Location: Temple of Tymora, Priest's Ward, Greenholden Mission: A couple of weeks ago a large amount of undead were sighted and defeated by adventurers within the city crypt. There are new bodies to be buried, but we need some adventurers to make sure that the burial areas are cleared completely of undead before laying these recently deceased to rest. Advisory: if you have a cleric, remember you can turn undead

He stands and waits for the others.

Johann takes down the undead job off the board and says, “Now we go to the front desk and say we're accepting the job.”

History 4
Johann has never heard that EVER.
(That's a natural 1 btw)
"I read it at the Alabaster Library. " he says as if that fact explained it alland gave credibility to that history.

"Oh. I'd never do a Blaster in a library. Too many books to damage. Plus, Ma says I'm not apposed to do that indoors no more."
