Seven Saints: Azure Claw

If it looks like the brambles are getting too thick, Brazzak will light a torch and go ahead of the cart to clear the way with one of his hand axes.

 Headed along the road, it is as Brom says. Turning around the bend the cart stops as a large amount of brambles and briar seem to have almost made a wall across the path. It is strangely stretches across from the two large thickets on either side, it seems too organised for a natural growth.

"That's a lot more formed than when I was last here." Brom calls out from his position beside Dar'Quilyn.

“Crap, Brazz you said you wanted to hand this right, sure you don’t need any help”

Brazzak looks at the wall of brambles and stows his handaxes.

Unhitching his Greatsword from his back he sets his shoulders.

"I got this."

And he begins to hack away at the brambles.

(Can I roll nature to see if that is normal or if I can recognize that plants?

Dar'Quilyn reckons that the brambles that block the way are reminiscent of a casting of the Wall of Thorns spell. However, this stuff is obviously unattended, a conjured wall would've been dismissed by now.

He shares this information with the rest of the party.

”Would be possible that a druid or ranger had problems over here? “

Johann raises a hand and says, "Well, I could just set it on fire if you'd like. Not much of a problem for me, but we should hurry before the wolves get to the village."

"Nope."

*grunt* chop

"Fire's gonna..."

"...spread. And if'n..."

*grunt* chop

"...it does. A lotta people..."

"...might lose..."

Brazzak continues his hewing and slashing of his mighty weapon against the brambles. He finds that they seem pretty thick and tough, taking much more effort than he anticipated to carve through. After a couple of minutes of chopping, he's made a five foot gap in the wall. As he gets to chopping to the far side of this blockade of briar,  the brambles seem to flex and seemingly attempt to grow around the dragonborn, pulling him into the wall.

Brazzak: Please make a DC 13 Dexterity Saving Throw to attempt to escape before the thorny tendrils catch you!

 The warrior is pulled in!

( Can Dar'quilyn jump and cut the vines that are pulling his friend? )

 At this point, seeing the magical nature of the wall, Johann will cast Scorching Ray at the vines in the hopes of getting Brazzak out.

Struggling against the brambles pulling at him, Brazzak shouts.

"Get that cart backed up! Don't let the horse get spooked by the fire!"

Jaylin complys and ushers for the horse to move back, and for anyone that wants to help to get out

The horse, luckily, is not spooked by the sudden hurling of fire and backs away slightly, the cart moving with it.

Brazzak realises too late that the thorns bind around him, restrained by the spiky foliage and taking 9 piercing damage as the get caught up in it.

(Brazzak, you may attempt a DC 13 Athletics or Acrobatics to try and escape)

Johann hurls three motes of flames at the foliage. It seems quite effective, setting the thorny wall ablaze near Brazzak.

(Brazzak, if you fail, you may start to feel a harmfully warm sensation)

Dar'Quilyn, you may rush to his aid, helping your comrade by slicing precisely at certain tendrils to help free him (as previously described, this plantlife is very sturdy and durable)

 Clasping arms with Dar'Quilyn, the Bladesman provides the warrior with an anchor to pull himself free.

Dar’Quilyn darts off the cart and tries to help Brazzak. (Can He help to give him advantage on his roll? Or I must attack it? Just in case I roll... either way he will use the green flame blade spell to help him. Attack: 18 Damage: 6 )

Dar'Quilyn sweeps his blade, emerald fire flying onto the brambles as some are loosened enough to help Brazzak stumble out of the gap. He looks like he's been used as a pin cushion, but otherwise safe for the moment. The wall of thorns currently is ablaze with red and green fires.

Jaylin tells the horse to stay as he moves up to Braz, he puts both of his hands on his shoulder and uses 10 LoH from his pool
