At his current level, Toadstool would be limited to beasts with a CR of no higher than 1 that do not have a flying or swimming speed. Objective limitations are easy.
The only subjective limitation is that Toadstool must have seen the beast before. I trust you to pick cool beasts, and if the beast ends up being a bit rare for the region ... I trust you to have a cool story about how Toadstool came to know about them. It won't bother me if you say that prior to Toadstool's exile, perhaps an orc chieftain had a pet tiger or something.
"OOC: Would the bugbears hide armor fit Toads? It's not magical, so I don't have high hopes :D"
Yes, Toadstool can wear the hide armor if you want. I won't get too picky with sizing within a given size category. Gear like that will be considered interchangeable. Whatever minor alterations that must be done, can be done by the heroes. Both the bugbear and the orc are medium sized creatures. If we start finding armor though that is not the same size as the donning character, then it will be need a trip to the blacksmith for some resizing.
I'll be away for about 12 hours, so if the party gets going again, Yaudara will join in, and take the lead unless someone else wants to. He won't attempt stealth with his armor, but will try to perceive any threats as they go.
And if the party wants to be stealthy, he'll certainly try, but will likely fail. :)
DM, I let my character sheet auto roll. I spent one HD and gained 5+2=7 hp and reset my pact magic slots. I do not regain healing light charges on a short rest. Ie, team, my healing ability is limited.
We still having Rinn be the party accountant? He can keep ahold of the 200 gp until we get back to town, or distribute it now. I don't think he's going to be very interested in carrying the weapons though, since those are probably not worth keeping unless we're going to use them.
Rinn is not my Tav from BG3. He does not have an entire armory in his backpack that he intends to sell later. Probably would like to have as many books as my Tav though.
Also, yes, Rinn talks to Rachael like he would another person. Probably gets him stares, but he also was on the road a lot before this, so probably only company Rinn had after leaving the other wizards.

A short rest occurred, gang.
@Ashen_age, I did not want to roll your hit dice for you. If you would like to allocate any hit dice to this rest, just let me know.
^^ With regard to game time, it is now late morning.

Ok, then dibs on the hide armor. Will leave the leather there.
^^ Done!
Yay. You can actually do something with 15 AC.
He still needs to wear it in and has a bit of a muffintop. He is chonky orc

^^ Sounds good. Thank you for letting me know.
None of the gear recovered thus far seems extraordinary in any way.

Splitting up the money would help with encumbrance, too, but I'm good either way.
We aren't counting money for encumbrance. Was one of the things I remember from character creation. But yeah, I don't mind splitting.
Everyone gets 60 gp (except Rinn, who now has 62gp in total). We now have 2 months worth of living expenses.
After finding the gold in the goblin warren, I have added 60gp to everyone's sheet (except Rinn who already made those adjustments).
Rachael and Toads make a good scouting super duo. 19 in total.
Edit: The +5 was from this post. Reading over the help action, perhaps it would only result in advantage and not a flat +5.
Help on active perception gives advantage. Help on passive perception gives +5.
Thanks for the correction :D
You guys beat me to it.
Yeah, anything that grants advantage to a passive score results in +5 (and disadvantage would be -5).
