Tufts watches from the shadows shifting shapes in shades of gray waiting for his moment.
(Tufts ammends his ready status to waiting for one of their opponents to target Dav'eed. He will attack that enemy. I'm making the assumption that Dav'eed retreated back towards where Tufts waits. If Dav'eed didn't then Gonye will be the focus.)
Tufts- With a readied attack and a specific trigger, you should consider rolling the attack and posting the results. -I will roll for you to see what the outcome of this action is.
Rothgar- I can not adjudicate an undescribed save or attack. Narrative is required to provide context. I am forced to assume, which I don't like to do what the save is for (Based on AC it would be against the stench) which you failed, and are therefore poisoned. Ok that was the easy one.
The attack has no descriptive narrative to help here, since you are poisoned, did you roll with disadvantage? Since no details were given can I assume you attack the encroaching darkness? With a headbutt? Seriously though, if I don't know, or cant tell what you did, I will fall back on the established...If you do nothing in combat It is a Dodge action.
The Stench of the Trogs fills your nostrils with a pungent acrid sting. The sinus feeling scorched, dry, cracked and angry. The Distillate soaked cloths take the edge off thankfully, but not enough to keep the stomach churning smell from causing you to gag. As you moved forward they charged, catching you in a pincer grip, the Dogs and Trog intent on turning you into a meal.
Gonye pulls strands from the weave with a snapped command as the black/purple missiles impact with the magic, ripples of energy dissipating inches from his torso. Back pedaling hard he thrusts his hands forward, a bolt of fire lancing across the room to splash harmlessly against the far wall.
Dav'eed ducks and weaves, his bow snaps across the jaw of a dog, gotten to close. He fends them off, backing up he fires at the Shaman. The arrow slams into its gut, the creature folds, yet recovers quickly. Their hands rise, a harsh word is barked, the sound infernal, a blood clot of a sound. A deep green ball of liquid froms, hovering inches from its palm, it breathes across its surface, a quick puff. The churning green liquid races across the water, closing the distance to strike at Gonye.
Bolt of Acid, shot at Gonye: it drips and sizzles as it flies: Gonye DEX save DC 12 or take 5 Acid damage, no damage on a save.
Rothgar hampered on both sides wretches, uncontrollably the sumptuous feast comes back up, splashing the Trog before him. The beast doesn't care, familiar with the reaction it presses its attacks, the spear weaves a dance of jabs and slashes against the barbarian.
(A note on the dogs attack: Poisoned grants advantage, Pack tactics grants advantage, Dodge grants disadvantage: Therefore a normal attack)
Dog three, snaping at Rothgar: Attack: 5 Damage: 7
Troglodyte spear thrust against Rothgar: Attack: 16 Damage: 4
If the dog hits, they attempt to knock Rothgar prone: Strength save DC 11
The two dogs, try to match Dav'eed step for step, snaping and gnashing at his legs as he backs off, as they close, A tuft of fur and fists erupts from its hidden location within the alcove, it slams into a dog broadside. (Unarmed attack against Dog: 14, Damage 4), a huff of air expels from the dog, breathless it and its companion, fighting side by side turn and drive at the Monk, retaliating for his strike.
Dog one, snaping at Tufts (Pack tactics advantage): Attack: 24 Damage: 11
Dog one, snaping at Tufts (Pack tactics advantage):Attack: 23 Damage: 8
If the dogs hit, they attempt to knock Tufts prone: Strength save DC 11 (Only one roll is needed even if both dogs hit).

The two dogs are hampering Tufts, The dog and Trog have flanked Rothgar. The Shaman is hurt but flinging spells from a distance
Tufts attempt at a surprise attacks both succeeds and fails horribly at the same time. He lands a solid strike but exposes himself. Both dogs are on him in a flash. The dogs jaws tear massive pieces of flesh from the bugbear. Tufts falls face first into the putrid water. The brackish liquid bubbles until Tufts has no more air left in his collapsing lungs. The body convulsed on last time and.lies still.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dav'eed yells to Gonye "Take out the spellcaster! I'll help Rothgar with the others!" He draws his rapier and moves towards the barbarian, attacking the hellish hound on Rothgar's flank.
Attack: 18 Sneak Attack Damage: 7
"OK, big guy - you get the stinker, and I'll help with the dogs..."The rogue dances in and out, moving (like 10-15 feet?), attacking, then disengaging and moving the remainder of his movement away.
(Ahh poo...I forgot to change the damage dice. Wrote this post for the shortbow, then changed it to the rapier. If you'll allow, here is an updated damage roll if the stab hit: 11
Tufts effort is valiant, his plan flawless. Until faced by the vicious teeth of the enemy. a few chunks of flesh less he topples into the water. His companions, no time to hesitate are surrounded and outnumbered. The straits are dire. The shaman raises his hands, the weave coalescing into a swirlp of translucent mauve. The energy builds, a string of profane words tumbling in a guttural watery speach. Th sound is painful to the ears.
Pressed by a dog and Trog, Rothgar is wretching and gagging from the stench. The dogs turn from Tufts still form to find other sources of fun and future meat. The wizard Gonye falls into their line of sight, the dogs snarling in a high pitched yip as they turn, a fine meal the human will make.
Dav'eed lunges forward. His rapier sinks to the hilt into one of the dogs, the one hampering the struggling Barbarian. A wet gurgle is the last sound it makes as it drops, its form splashing the algae away in a heavy putrid ripple. Rothgar, pulls a breath, the wax hampering his breathing, a snort and a second, blows the chunks of wax in to the water, clearing his ability to breath. His weapon swings in a wide arc, knocking the reptilian across the space to splat against the wall.
Gonye is quicker than his foe, a streak of fire lights the passage briefly. The beam slams into the Shaman, flames splash and lick upwards. The Reptile screams, a guttural moist choking noise before it tips forward, sinking beneath the stagnant water.
The two dogs thrust forward, thier long vicious claws digging into the looses stone, splashing putrid water in all directions. Closing quickly on Gonye. Dav'eed dodging in and back out again catches the attention of one of them who takes the chance and lunges at the dancing rogue.
Dog lunging bite against Dav'eed: Attack: 13 Damage: 5
Dog gnashing bite at Gonye: Attack: 6 Damage: 7
If the dogs hit, they attempt to knock you prone: Strength save DC 11

One dog is attacking Gonye, The other is next to Dav'eed. The others appear dead.
Like a bullfighter in the ring, Dav'eed manages to sidestep the attacking dog and tries to stab it with his rapier. Attack: 7 Damage: 4
With a flourish, the rogue continues his motion and disengages from the beast. He moves over towards Gonye so that he can take advantage of his partners' abilities to distract the adversaries, which will allow Dav'eed to strike where they least expect...
Just for clarity - There are only 2 dogs remaining, both of them clustered around Gonye and Dav'eed, snaping and gnashing at the two of them. Rothgar remains were he began, were the dead reptilian fell and were Dav'eed skewered the dog. (You are the red dots)
Rothgar charges, following quickly behind as Dav'eed dodges away. Not in time to intercept the lunging dog, the half elf side steps the attack. Rothgar finishes it, his weapon swing downward in a wide arc to hammer the beast into the water. The crunch tells you it wont be getting back up.
Gonye spins hard as the dog gnashes at his legs, a short sharp sound escapes his lips, a mote of fire erupts. Crossing the short space in a flash of light and heat it impacts the dog between the eyes. The creature, blind and burning continues to gnash frantically then slips sideways to lie thrashing in the putrid liquid about your feet.
Initiative ended
The smell of the Troglodytes has lessened considerably with their demise. Either because they are dead, or because they are nearly submerged in the murky sludge. The passage is quiet once again.
Dav'eed checks Rothgar, then aids Gonye with Tufts. "I wonder if that candy has any healing properties. LT Charl said it was a curative..."The rogue will check Tufts' belongings for the rosy colored candy they received earlier. When he finds it, he will gently place it in the bugbear's mouth, under his tongue so that it can dissolve without accidentally getting stuck in the windpipe and choking Tufts!
The bugbear is unresponsive, the mortal coil has been shrugged from this world. The Curative potion of healing will do nothing to bring him back. You pocket the lozenge, retrieve the last vial of Distillate of menthe and decide to move on.
OOC-Mrjanuary has left the group. I have contacted 2 other players who will join shortly- looks like a cleric and a divine soul sorcerer. When thy are ready I will introduce them into the story wherever it is we find ourselves. Continue on with the three of you for now.
"He has slipped the bonds of this life... Let's move the body someplace drier, and try to come back for it. The living need our help, but we should respect the dead as much as we can." Gonye asks for help moving the body back on the island behind them.
