You have 50,000 gp of non-transferable money to pay for these magic item upgrades. Armour (rare to very rare, 14,000 gp, DC 36) and Shield (uncommon to rare, 10,000 gp, DC 36) for Gijigume
Aeliarin wants a Luckstone (uncommon, DC 26 8,000 gp)
Arya wants to improve her sword (rare to very rare, 14,000 gp, DC 36)
8000 left over, who else wants stuff? I suggest Thar just makes the rolls (with whatever bonuses you can find) and either succeeds or not.

With Fah'lin paying/trading for it Thar will firstly learn and scribe into his spellbook "Expertise".
A Gijigume does not want his items upgraded as yet I assume either Aeliarin or Arya would be hiring a cleric (or other) to provide Enhance Ability as it is a small cost to substantially improve the chance of success.
Thar spends some time summoning his ability and gaining some Bardic Inspiration 2 and some Guidance 2.
The preparation being done he endeavours to create a Luckstone for Aeliarin 18 and then a good sword for Arya 30 and if also creating a Broom of Flying 33
"We'll keep the rest on hand for a later date." Fah'lin says, "Unless you want to try again for the sword?" He turns to Thar. (Unless Arya's sword was destroyed in the process. In which case we might want to make her another one.)

Arya "If there had been the slightest risk of that happening we would have tried this over everyone's dead body." Arya can be quite scary at times and you think she's serious. "Another try, I certainly don't object."
1 potion Fire Giant Strength; 2 potions Healing. How many +to Hit can Khalin Gool try to add to his hand held xbow for Uncommon type and using the Expertise spell?
(The spell will only work on an ability check. Not an attack roll. It also specifies you must be proficient with the skill in question. Can I suggest you use a Light Crossbow or a Shortbow instead?)

There is 20,000 to go which is a rare item (18,000) which is a +2 weapon (be it hand crossbow, light crossbow or shortbow)
Okay, we've spent enough time on this, how do you want to resume with the giants. Through their front door or do YOU have a cunning plan?
Also, come Sunday afternoon I will be heading of to visit my brother for a week. We will be going on a road trip to see some of New South Wales, my posting will be limited to the evenings once we reach our accommodation for the night (WiFi permitting).
"We should try and find the chief's room. Cut off the head of the serpent so to speak. Or at least find information that points to the head. If these Drow are running the show." Fah'lin says, "Maybe if we send in our quiet scouts we can find a direct route. Owly and Sciathan can probably sneak in completely unnoticed and return with details."
The hawk swoops in and lands on Fah'lin's shoulder. "I could send you in the body of a mouse or a spider!" Sciathan shifts a little nervously.
Three out of four successes.

Fah'lin points in the catalogue, "Maybe we could use one of these." he says pointing to a Broom of Flying

Arya "Oo, oo pick me! I'm a little person with not a lot of gear. I come in under 200 lb."
Those rolls are a bit high for Gijigume's wants: He's willing to wait. I don't know 5ed very well: Any other way/item to improve his AC?
(Armor +3 and Shield +3 have the district advantage of not requiring attunement, unlike a Ring of Protection, Cloak of Protection or Ioun Stone of Protection other options with Attunement include some magic weapons, like the Defender, and several spells. Shield of Faith and Haste both require concentration. While Shield has the most massive bonus of any if these options but a short duration)

Two out of 3 by the looks of it.

Arya shrugs "Too bad we can't swap Aeliarin's attempt with mine. I'll pay for the cleric to cast the Enhance Ability spell."
Is that Broom going to someone specific? Or, is it for whoever needs it at the moment (the value of a non attuned item).
Arya "If there had been the slightest risk of that happening we would have tried this over everyone's dead body." Arya can be quite scary at times and you think she's serious. "Another try, I certainly don't object."

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.

(Maybe even a Crossbow, Light +1)
(We could make a stack of brooms and we all ride, just fah'lin drags on the ground a bit each time he takes off.)

<Insert quidditch joke here>
Aeliarin caresses his lucky stone with genuine fondness.
Seeing Aeliarin is pleased with his creation Thar asks, "And may I use it from time to time to help with creation of other magic items?"

"Well....as long there's time for me to de-attune it, then for you to attune it, then for me to re-attune it, I don't see why not."

Thar has no cunning plan unless he recalls something like a side wall through which he could cast Passwall in the hope of possibly sneaking in,
