Soma, Ross and Igor make it back to Camp Mosswood and head straight to Captain Harlan's command tent. A guard at the tent tells them to 'halt' and state their business. "Really? Youngman!" says Ross testily while Igor looks on with loathing. "Is Captain Harlan in solider?" says Soma in his best command presence voice. Upon hearing the command the solider stands to attention and the commotion also gets the attention of those inside.

Captain Harlan comes out and upon seeing Soma and the Kings Investigators he ushers them all into his tent. "Report, gentleman?". Both Ross and Igor look disturbed while Soma keeps to his lane waiting for the two to detail what they think is going on. "Captain, it's a mess out there, we have held back and eliminated a significant amount of Goblins and orcs, where they have come from is contentious, what we do know is there been well lead", Ross continues, "one such group we encountered was led by an Ettin and the this group was made up of orcs, it seems the Goblins go out as scouts led by an Orc or two and the larger groups are all Orcs led by Ettins". Captain Harlan is frustrated but not surprised. He says to the group, "The reports I have received are saying something similar, clearly they are been led well a senior leadership group that in turn is well organised, I am hearing the name Lord Viridion is in charge and if this is so, than things are going to get worse before they get better". Harlan turns around and points to his maps and log tables and continues , "I'm stretched thin men. I require you to go out again and continue to disrupt these scout groups and Ettin leaders whenever possible". All three nod and go to head out and resupply and reorganise before going back out. Soma is last to leave when Harlan asks him to stay back. "Soma, you need to get this right, my men are looking up to you, here take my family longsword with you, I will want it back!! The following day the "Bright-blade Company", this is the name Harlan's men have given Soma, Igor and Ross. Venture out again in the forest of Mosswood. This time somewhat better prepared. 

After been out for a few hours Ross says to Soma, "can you smell that?" and Igor also notices a burning smell, "yep, somethings definitely burning near by", and all three stop, smell and listen.

"Theres cooking fires nearby" says Soma and both Igor and Ross agree. As they contemplate what to do next branchs creak and break close by and a ettin comes walking towards them.
