Elarion ponders for a moment. "If one or more of these creatures are minions of Malar, then we are all in grave danger. We should release them and run to the closest town. I've tangled swords with followers of Malar in my youth and what I've learned is that they keep coming and never relent. I fear that this is all my fault and now my own daughter is in danger."
Tali embraces her father and tells him, "No, you've prepared me for a time such as this, with all your wild stories and warning, that I never took seriously but then again I never dismissed them out right."
Tali turns to you and says, "Should we stay and fight or should we run?"
I pause for a moment at Tali's words, thinking them over. Elarion spoke of praying to deities for protection for these things. He had set up wards of protection around the cottage. Ones that had been working until...Tras lets out a sigh as he bows his head. Until he had brought the jackalwere through the protection. A pain hit his heart there, his mind flashing back to where he saw the pile of bodies, the ones that he blamed himself for causing. Seeing the situation before them, he looks up to Tali with a deep sigh. "If we stay, then we need to get them cleansed. If Malar wants his children, then making them no longer his children would save them. Or maybe Sehanine might be able to step in and purify them. Either way, some of them may not be fully lost to the beast yet and we can help them."

Do you feed and care for the humans you have in cages? Do you sleep the night in the cottage? Do you leave to find a priest who can remove curse? Do you leave to find the nearest city? What's your next step?
I think of our options, with my mind seeing risks and concerns with each and every step before us. I eventually make a decision on the next steps as I look back to Elarion. "Do you think the wards can hold for a time while we go and get someone nearby to help? Or do I need to make an offering to try and have them boosted?" I ask, drawing out the sword and holding it. As much as Elarion said that Sehanine had somehow chosen me for the blade, I did not fully believe him. After all, I had no divine spark to call out for divine beings. I had no way of truly connecting to her like Elarion did. I could go through the motions, sure, but I lacked the faith that he did. I also did not want to say it, but I dreaded going back to any temple at all. The lack of love I had received with where I grew up soured my taste in temples and in deities. However, I at least respected the worship of Sehanine since Elarion was rather reverent in his worship of her.

Elarion says, he will stay and keep the prisoners safe.
As you and Tali race to the next town, you feel confident that you made the right choice.
After two days of travel you see the Shadowfern
Established as a sanctuary for those who wished to live free from the political and social turmoil of the larger cities. Shadowfern became a haven for those who were marginalized or persecuted, including non-conformist scholars, fugitive mages, and those with unorthodox beliefs. You can find many temples and alters to neutral and even evil deities.
Asking around for a priest you are directed to a gothic looking stone structure and you meet Father Eamon Kelemvor. "You seem troubled. Come in and let go of your worries."
After some probing conversation, "So you need a remove curse and it's to combat the forces of Malar? I see. I don't dare leave my post here but I have a private stash of potions for this very reason. While I cannot part with them freely, I am willing to entrust them to you under one condition: you must agree to a binding favor, one that will be called upon when the time is right. Do you accept this oath? Kneel before the moon goddess you worship. Promise upon your honor and the power bestowed upon you by her that you will repay this favor in full, no matter the cost." Father Eamon conducts a brief ritual, binding your oath with divine magic. "Sehanine Moonbow, bear witness to this oath. Let the light of the moon be our witness, and let its power bind this promise."
With the ritual complete, you now have a oathbound tattoo, engraved on your arm. "You have six moons to return to me to complete your task."
Narrative feedback. If you like the "Shadowfern" hook and the Cleric of Kelemvor NPC, then let me know. Otherwise, we could go another way with a more "fated" encounter with a Moon Cleric of Sehanine who is high enough level to cast remove curse
On their way to Shadowfen, Tras and Tali encounter Brother Caelan Brightstar in the Silverwood Forest. Caelan is meditating under a large, ancient tree, its branches glistening in the moonlight. Upon seeing them, he rises with a serene smile and greets them warmly. "Greetings, travelers. I am Brother Caelan Brightstar, a humble cleric of Sehanine Moonbow. You seem weary from your journey. How may I assist you?"
Tras explains that he needs a priest to cure some jackalwere and that it's an urgent matter.
Brother Caelan is able to remove curse on two of the jackalwere creatures but says that he must rest before he has the magical power to cure a third.
Going with the fated meeting for now. Unsure what to do from here now that we just got the priest outside of taking him back, letting him heal the first two, but then watching the last one to decide if he is too far gone to be saved.

On their way to Shadowfen, Tras and Tali are rushing through the forest and spot a traveling priest.
Tali cries out, "Halt. Who goes there!"
"I am alone. My name is Brother Caelan Brightstar", The priest was meditating under a large, ancient tree, its branches glistening in the moonlight. He rises with a serene smile and greets them warmly. "Greetings, travelers. I had a dream that I would meet you here in the Silverwoods. I am but a humble cleric of Sehanine Moonbow."
Tali says, "If you are who you say you are, then we have no time to waste. Follow us, we need your assistance this night."
Brother Caelan follows the two back to Elarion's cottage. He casts remove curse on two of the jackalwere creatures but says that he must rest before he has the magical power to cure a third.
Caelan, weary from the travel and from casting spells, asks to retire in the home. "Now that these two creatures have been cured, they may need some time to adjust. We should care for them and then question them in the morning."
In the middle of the night, you are awoken by the sound of a crashing crate in the back. Tali runs to the scene to see a werewolf smashing the wooden cages open.
Tras lets out a growl of frustration on himself, drawing out the blade as he lets it cut against the corner of his ear. As he does, lighting coats the blade, giving it an extra glow that joins the moonlight glow. He then moves forward to the werewolf, slashing out against it. “Get out!” He bellows as he brings the blade down against the lycanthrope.
