With a look of distaste, Shalech says, "Well then, lets talk of this secret hidden wizard's tower. Where do we find it and what do we do when we find it?"
"Important questions." Dar replies. "At this stage I feel the easiest way to find the tower will be to track back the trail left by the former dragon. From the trail's source, it should be easy for Nathan to find with the scroll."
Dar sits, resting his hands upon his legs. "I'd join you, but I don't think this leg would make the trip; and to be honest I haven't walked that far in years."
He shakes his head, looking at his metal leg. "From there I'd stick with magic and holy weapons and gear; watch out for undead. Oh, and don't forget to ask for aid around town, could find something useful."
At the last minute he remembers; "Also, there is a travel tube for those that travel by flight; it's the only way to the top of the tower."
Shalech thinks over Dar's advice. "I suppose we're off to the church then, to get anything available that can help us against undead. As for flying, can anyone here fly?"
"Because I don't have enough magic to fly the entire trip and back. I can maintain it for a few minutes at best." Dar responds with a harsh glare. It softens after a moment. "Believe me, I want to get my hands on Surrisk more than most; you excluded. I'd join you if I could."
Kizori listens intently, "I'm really good at chasing orcs. I don't know nothin' bout undead." He shrugs before continuing, "But I bet Eliath will help, she's a magic lady, too. And I think I know where we could get some strong hobgoblins, but it's in the opposite direction of the trail." He points over his shoulder, "Oh, um, can I borrow this some more?" He says holding up the staff.
"I am sure that Normand and Urselles will help us, and I am going to ask Normand to bless the Decanter of Endless Water. I am sure they have other ways to help us." Nathan turns to Kizori: "Kizori, I think you were not here, but I had to memorize a statue, and Master Dar gave me a scroll, that will help me locate one just like it when when we get close to the tower. That should help us find it." Then he asks Dar: "Master Dar, you knew this man that we are about to face, and you know most about his capabilities. Do you have any further advice for us?"
"Surrisk was the proud assistant, always greatful to do his master's bidding. Screamed his complaints the loudest when we voted to exile Kyristan, left the guild the same day. Didn't really think of him much beyond that; not someone I socialized with." He shakes his head, wishing he could offer more.
"Han, you knew him as the hermit; any additional insight?" Han yawns and pulls off his sleeping cap. "Only friend I knew he had was Vel Marka, the component shop owner. They talked regularly."
Lura leaves the room, patiently waiting outside the door to see if it fits.
"What about the hobgoblins? They can help keep the town safe while we're gone." Kizori states to the group, still holding up the staff in front of him.
"Maybe we could talk to Vel Marka before we leave. As far as the hobgoblins - I don't know, Kizori. I haven't met them, and I don't want to judge someone I have never met, but based on what I have learned about them from books, don't you think that if we tell them that the town is undefended, they will see this as an opportunity to seize it for themselves? I don't know if we can trust them. Also, I don't know whether they would be particularly effective against undead creatures. Master Dar, what do you think?"
Shalech interjects, "We'll go see this Vel Marka. But I'm not sure what you all hope to learn about Surrisk that will be any use anymore. He's a fanatic that abandoned all his belongings and sacrificed his own life to become an undead disciple to Kirystan. There's no coming back from that."

Urselles is slightly startled by the approach and quickly turns to face Lura "oh um, sure, also shouldn't you atleast knock first"

Dar looks at Kizori, and then nods at Nathan and Shalech. "Not my staff, talk to these boys about that."
Lura startles suddenly, turning and shutting the church's chamber door behind her. "Oh sorry, I didn't think. I was just so excited to see if it fit."
With a look of distaste, Shalech says, "Well then, lets talk of this secret hidden wizard's tower. Where do we find it and what do we do when we find it?"

"Well me." Dar pauses for a moment. "Beyond that I'm unsure; best to ask. Never cared enough to myself."
Shalech frowns, "Well, if you can fly, why are you so worried about your leg and walking?"
“no worries” Urselles smiles at Lura “so do you have somewhere at the church I could change”

(Though the dragon made trail is in the wrong direction of the hobgoblins, the black tainted trail leads directly towards them.)
