Theodore approches Dar subtly "Please allow me to finally introduce myself. My name is Theodore of the Conclave of Silverymoon. If I might have a moment, earlier you mentioned perhaps needing an apprentice, is this true?"
"Of course, it will be a pleasure, I am looking fowrward to meeting them. And yes, you are right, master Thasiramus sent me because he was worried whether you were all right, he has not heard from you in a while. He is sharp as ever, still pulling pranks on people, I am sure a certain group of tax collectors are still wondering where Oakenridge diasppeared!" Nathan smiles as he talks about this old master. "He told me to assist you with anything I can, and I am sure there is a lot that I could learn from you, as I did from him." Nathan looks excited to meet the wizard about whom he has heard so much.
"Greetings Theodore, not too familiar with the Conclave of the Silverymoon, but welcome." Dar's face turns serious again. "But don't think it'll be easy being my apprentice; many have abandoned their studies under my too tillage due to it's difficulties."
Dar smiles again, hearing about Thasiramus' concern. "You lot should be lucky enough to care about each other as much as my lot does; especially this late in life. Keep in touch and never forget these days. They are called Adventures for a reason; live them."
When he hears about Oakenridge Dar laughs; "I'll have to spend a visit and ask him how he pulled that off." Hearing yet another young wizard wish to learn under him, he says; "Two apprentices and news about an old friend; this is turning into a pretty good day." He turns towards Croak; "Unless you still plan to fight me?" Dar looks very serious for a moment and then slaps Croak on the arm. "Nah, you learned the lesson." He smiles slyly.
Croak's heart began racing upon seeing Dar, preparing for the worst. Seeing Dar's temperament, he attempted to stick to the back and be inconspicuous, as ridiculous as that would be in the crowd. After Dar's friendly jab Croak stammers "Earlier was a misunderstanding, I did not quite sayant I meant. We are friends of Nathan, and adventure is what we seek."
Wispering to himself and to Han, Shalech says "Going back to the tavern, spinning in circles." To Dar, he warns, "I'm not drinking that swill or eating or drinking from any plate or glass served there...Especially at those prices."
Shalech carefully takes Han's elbow and nudges him in the right direction.
"Valid point, that place is pish. We'll just gather the crew and meet at my place." Dar marches on; walks into the tavern, makes a lude gesture to Boabby, and then stops next to the still sleeping Jack and Victor and uses his metal leg to kick the booth.
"Wake up you old farts, party, my place, get Isa." Dar yells at his friends as they stir, covering their eyes and ears. "What you doing sleeping here anyways? You'll just end up robbed."
He motions over to a young lad in trapper's gear; "You too Joran, help them with the food and Isa's Brew and you can stay for the party too."
Dar turns and begins to exit when suddenly another elderly man literally slinks up to him. "Oh, a party aye? Anything an old friend can help with to get some admittance?" The stranger says. The first thing Dar does is check his coinpouch, and when discovering it is still there he turns to the man. "No Tamm, not now, not ever. This is an evening of friends."
Tamm looks hurt, really hurt. It looks like Dar just broke his heart. Dar walks away and leads the lot to his home. Nathan, you know the name Tamm well; your master gave explicit warning never to give, promise, or believe a word that Tamm says or does. Thasiramus was certain that Tamm would still, somehow, be alive.
Upon reaching the tower, Dar once again says; "Tower Disarm." but does not rearm it; though he does give a general warning not to go upstairs. The first floor of the tower is pretty plain, with several large couches; but enough room for everyone.

Seeing Dar deliberately check his coin purse upon meeting Tamm, Shalech holds his in his fist at first... then letting the coin purse go, swings his pack to hold it in his arms against his chest. Meanwhile Shalech does his best to make sure Han doesn't get robbed either.
"this is a nice place you got here Dar" Urselles says as she enters the building "I must say I appreciate you letting us all over," Urselles looks down at the ground in shame for a second "especially given the goblin attacks in the north I've been hearing about"

Shalech, you noticed that Tamm had already begun talking to someone else; and that the person had, with a defeated look on their face, handed over a part of their meal.
Dar turns to Urselles. "Goblins are Goblins and do Goblin things; your an adventurer. Your special." You can tell that this man was quite the charmer in his youth; but his words ring true.

Nathan looks around the first floor of the tower, whether he sees anything of note. He also walks up to the new people and quickly makes his introductions, while observing them, trying to figure out what kind of people they are. Falling asleep at a tavern table during the day is not exactly wise and dignified behavior (especially with Tamm around), but he is more curious than judgmental about this.
Perception (on the room and the new people, Jack, Victor and Joran): 18
After this, he turns to Dar: "Master Dar, I can see that your tower is well protected. Is this just being cautious, against burglars, or is there a specific threat that you know of and you are prepared against? I mean, I know that you must have many enemies left from your adventuring days, but surely they should know better than to come after you in your own home."
After some time Jack, Victor, Joran, and Isa arrive. They are carrying an exorbitant amount of food, Jack and Victor struggle with carrying the food and even young Joran is visibly strained as he hauls a large barrel. The only one who does not appear to have difficulties is Isa.
The lady, though advanced in age, holds a massive pack filled with what you can assume is supplies. The pack likely weighs a hundred pounds and, other then hunching over a bit due to the positioning of the top of the pack, Isa seems uneffected by it.
She does not appear to be a strong woman, infact the opposite. She has gained pudge over the years; her glasses thick enough that its difficult to see her eyes; her blonde/gray hair is full of curls.
Nathan introduces himself to them, though they seem too interested in easing their load before making pleasantries. Isa begins to talk, but the taller older gentlemen pushes her forward, quieting her down.
Dar excuses himself and heads up the stairs in advance of the newly arrived group. He pauses a moment and mutters something before the door opens. He then motion for the others to follow upstairs.
After a few long moments Dar returns alone. Upon reaching the bottom of the stairs, Nathan asks his question, with Dar replying; "These defenses were put in place after the disbanding of the guild. I simply never removed them; though they have been useful from time to time."
Nathan, having looked at the strangers you are unsure where they may be found in your master's stories. Whoever they may have been in their youth, its hard to tell at this advanced age; though you are sure this will become easier to tell after speaking with them more.

"Good to have you. Now come to the tavern, it's my turn to buy you all a round." And a large beltpouch comes out of a hidden pocket in Dar's coat.
He calls back; "Shalech, could you bring my brother; I fear he will get lost otherwise."
"I was hoping for a tavern stop."
