Shalech moves towards one of the other rooms on the upper floor, looking for reasons why the illusions and noise making box would be placed in this house.
Investigation: 6
Apparently, Theodore's light and the object he's holding is of much more interest to Shalech right now...
As Shalech passing the first room, his eyes are drawn to the shining object in the room, held in Theodore's hand, causing you to stop. Theodore begins looking over the object looking for arcane runes. (Please make a new Arcana check.)
(Sadly no, each piece of arcane writing is tied to the person creating them, including personal spellbooks, and so are unique and must be deciphered. Unfortunately it is more along the lines of an accent or personal slang included into the writing of the runes themselves than a language.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"But where is that man from under the couch!?" Croak looks for a door to the basement if there is one, otherwise he goes outside to check out the perimeter of the house.
Wrapping up the sword in its cloth Theo turns to the others "These two items are all I could sense, perhaps we should show them to Dar and see if he has any more information on them?"
Led by the magical light cast on your hand, Shalech checks out the remaining rooms upstairs. The one to the right is empty except for dust, cobwebs, and a large unused canopy bed. The room to the left appears to be a large empty closet.
It would seem Sathalvir has wandered off. Curious about this odd town, he wood elf directs his interests elsewhere. To the stables perhaps? A druid's glen on the edge of the settlement? Where one mystery spins a yard, threads must be unraveled to understand the many pieces that randomly fit together.
Searching the closet first, you run your hands along the dust and grime covered walls, ceilings and floorboards; with no result beyond dirty hands.
Upon entering the bedroom, Shalech quickly notices the cloth covered footprints leading up to the bed. The bed is unmolested and loaded with dust, but as your eyes go over it piece by piece, you notice that the edge of the top canopy seems to have it's dust removed in a few places.
As Sathalvir wonders he finds himself approaching the stables adjacent to the tavern. Several horses are being kept and a young male appears to be maintaining the stable of a large grey and white horse.
The tavern is spewing out its regular ruckus and insults; though the average topic of the insults involve Boabby's manhood, or lack there of.
A loud metallic clink can be heard behind you as the shop appears to lock their large wire metal door.
To your right is the bridge over the fierce river, and the storage and fishing buildings beyond; to your left is a crossroads with a few specialty shops, a church, a zoo, and the slums of Old Northbank beyond.

Untouched by dirt or wear lays a magnificent longsword. It shines in the light of your wand, a beauty out of place with the surroundings.

Would that Arcana check be used to see what kind of enchantment is on the sword?
As Shalech passing the first room, his eyes are drawn to the shining object in the room, held in Theodore's hand, causing you to stop. Theodore begins looking over the object looking for arcane runes. (Please make a new Arcana check.)
Stopping to look at Theodore and his sword, Shalech asks, "Are you going to fight something?"
Arcana Check:14
Theodore, you can tell that it is some form of beneficial enchantment, but are unable to decipher the runes detailing the specifics.
Would comprehend languages cast as a ritual help me with that?

No door and no man are found. Croak, you begin to wonder if he ever came inside the house.
Wrapping up the sword in its cloth Theo turns to the others "These two items are all I could sense, perhaps we should show them to Dar and see if he has any more information on them?"
"Who's responsible for all this? It doesn't make any sense!"
