Before Dar can respond, you quickly look back over the book, only one word sticks out; over and over and over, throughout the book.  Experiment.  Your dream from last night comes racing towards you again.

'Like living through every image in that book, but it always goes back to your page, time and again. The words of the page fly by your face, mocking you with their tainted code.  All but one word, a word you are sure the book wants to show you, to mock you with.  Experiment.  Its what you are and the book knows it, knows you, and hates.'

"No, the book is simply taunting me.  I can still read the word 'Experiment' everywhere."  Shalech sighs and closes the book.

"The ring allows her to cast any cantrip spell at will.  But there may be more to it, I've never thought to examine it; though that would have involved prying it off her finger.  Even when we were dating, she never took it off." Frustration wells up inside him. "Do you know what it's like to date someone that wears another man's engagement ring?!"

He takes a breath.  "Anyways, I don't think we'll be able to do anything with it tonight.  You lot rest up; I'll check out these items.  Theodore; you're on first watch."  He turns to Croak and Shalech.  "You two can sleep downstairs; Shalech, lets talk more in the morning about the book taunting you, we may be able to figure out a way to crack the code.  It's too late to start on that now."

As the prayers end; Lura asks Urselles if she has a place to stay tonight?

Shalech goes downstairs to sleep.  ((Long rest)).

“Um, I was either thinking of staying at the haunted house or here at the church, if you have a guest room that is”

"The church doesn't."  Lura says. "But I do.  I often lend it out to youths in need.  It's open; my aunt has her own tower."

“Oh, thank you Lura, I appreciate your kindness”

"Your appreciation is more than welcomed." Lura's young face smiles.  After tidying up, the pair of you head to Lura's place.  She asks; "So, tell me of your home and why you came here; if you are okay talking about it of course."

”of course, I come from a tribe of goblins, we live on the grass lands near a forest. We’re a fairly peaceful tribe, there are the neighbor tribes like the elf’s and kobalts, we all mostly get along with trade and such, I actually have a few friends in the other tribes”

Still a bit uneasy, Croak moves downstairs and settles in for a rest thankful that he did not have to fight a bear today.

"Croak, didn't we say that we would stay at Isa's house tonight?" Nathan is worried about going there alone, and wants some company - possibly company that can help him fight whatever that ghost might be...

"If you can lower the tower's defenses without disturbing Dar I will go with you, otherwise It's been a long day." Croak is laying his still-damp clothes about the living room, hoping they'll dry by morning.

Dar completes the identification of the pile of magic items upon his research table, saying good night to Theodore before heading to bed himself.  Theodore sits, eating cookies and watching Isa's door.

Nathan went to bed a while ago.  Dar passes Croak and Shalech sleeping in the entry room, frowning at the clothes hung everywhere.  He quickly uses magic to clean and dry them so that they don't damage his property.  Then he heads to sleep.

Urselles and Lura chat into the night about many things, about each other, about their dreams, about their goals and desires.  By the end of the night they could likely call each other friend.

Nathan, you dream once more off the decanter, this time though there is no dripping, no flow.  You can feel pressure, like the water wants to get out; but the cap is sealed.  You realize that it is you that is holding it shut.

Nathan wakes, fully rested, but finding that he needs to pee.  After using the privy in your room, you recall that Theodore was supposed to wake you for second watch.  You step outside your room, and there is no one watching the floor.

Looking to Theodore's room, you see a note caught in the door.  The first words you see are; "The Ghost Prince came for me last night..."

"it was very nice talking with you Lura, I am truly thankful for your kindbess, this has probably been one of the fews places I've felt extremely accepted even though I am a Goblin" Urselles says good night to Lura and goes to bed with a smile on her face 

Urselles wakes to the smell of cooking.  'Mmm, pancakes' is the thought that comes to mind as your eyes open.

Nathan is shocked, and almost starts screaming, but then gathers his courage - there is something fishy about this, why would a ghost leave a note? He realizes that someone could still be in the room, or the whole thing could be a trap. He does not touch the note or anything, just scribbles a short message: Theodore is gone, he apparently left a note, come quickly to his room - Nathan and dispatches Fluffy to wake up and get Dar. 

Croak and Shalech wake to the sound of Fluffy knocking on Dar's door.  A note is clearly visible.

Urselles puts on her priestly garments and follows her noose to the spell of the pancakes

Shalech wakes and as he begins his day, he'll find the note.  Perplexed, he'll look for Isa.
