"Huh?" Han says startled; his back still towards you. "Oh, yeah, Necromancy..." He fades away for a second until his cat bumps him again. "Shame about the guild.". He shakes his head.
Pointing towards a half filled shelf he says; "Should be somewhere over there. I've got something to do... I think..." He trails off walking towards another room.
Urselles, you lean into the tavern and ask for directions to the church. Boabby points towards the back corner of the bar and says; "That way."
You step around the edge of the building and see a church in the distance. It is built of stone with massive stainglass windows, depicting symbols of harvest and imagery of Chauntea.

Shalech looks for a book that has something to do with necromancy.
Flipping through just one of these books had you choking on years of dust. The pages are half falling out and its an effort to keep the book together as you look through it. This first one appears to be about botany. There are dozens more. Shalech thinks this is going to take awhile.
Croak is aware of how uneasy he makes people. He's unaware of the rumors of the orcs around town. He heads out with Urselles and the wizard to find a church.
Urselles walked up the church door, she almost hesitated for a second, then she took and deep breath, said a small prayer to Eldath and opened the door

The three of you travel past the intersection, past a baubles shop, and what appears to be a zoo; approaching the church. The murals and sculptures are beautiful, the stonewalls well taken care of and maintained. A massive double door lays before you.
As you enter you are met with a well kept, though fairly plain, interior. There is a front podium, rows of pews, and a large curtain depicting the harvesting of the fields along the back wall. There is noone here, though there is some sounds coming from behind a door on the back wall.
Shalech, after some time you happen upon a book, in fairly good condition, that sends a chill through you as you touch it. The cover, though buried in dirt, is dark and thick. You open the pages and see what could only be described as acts of gore. Page after page holds grotesque imagery, signs of experimentations, and notes that you are certain describe necromantic acts; even though it is unreadable. It appears to be written in some other language; and it's almost as if the letters move when in the corner of your eye.
As you flip further you freeze. There, on the page, in detailed notes... is you. Every scar is noted and it details what you can only assume is the procedure. If only you could read it!
You hear a thud, as if someone just hit their knee on something, then a man's voice; "Oh, yes, it's always nice to meet a fellow Cleric." In a moment a tall man stands before you, his hair is long and held back by a circlet headband. His clothes are mostly browns and some green, including his cape. He holds an ornate wood carved staff in his hand.
"How may..." He stutters for a moment in shock and then composes himself. "How may I be of assistance?"
”Me and my companions here are looking for a wait to try and help fix this town, I’d heard so many great things about it but from what I’ve seen” Urselles voice trails off a bit

Shalech takes the book and brings it to Han. "What language is this written in? What does it say about this procedure?"
Han looks, stares really, at the book. He doesn't even turn the page; or touch the book really. After several very long moments he finally says; "Well... That is arcane writing. Unfortunately some wizards like to write their notes in code; including this one."
He pauses and scratches his back for a moment. "Its like... Looking at a word, but all the letters are messed up, but it makes no sense."
He stretches. "You'll need to crack that code to learn anything from..." His eyes widen a bit and he points at the book. "Wait, that's you!"
He stands up, grabs you by the arm. "We have to see my brother Dar! He is the smartest and most powerful wizard in town. If anyone can crack that it will be him!" He begins pulling on your arm.
"Great, lets go see Dar. Hope he'll do it for you. While we go there, you were saying it was a shame about the guild? They were necromancers too, or so I've overheard. Right?"
While rushing alongside you, with surprising agility, Han says; "No, the guild welcomed all kinds; I've even been there once. It was amazing, and Dar let me borrow a ton of books! I think I may still have them." He laughs out loud.
"Anyways, something bad happened at the guild; but I don't know what. Dar only said it was necromancy. After that wizards started leaving and the town began to die." You bob and weave past buildings, leave the road many times, and now see a large black tower looming ahead. "But Dar and I, we were born here, we're going to die here."
You find yourself at the base of the tower, a dark oak door with black steel handle lays before you. This close to the tower you see that there is no seem. It's all one piece. As the door begins to open Han whispers to you; "Be careful, he sets traps."
Before you stands Dar, in his usual mood. Han speaks up before Dar could speak. "In this book." He says, pointing at the book in your hands. "This ritual..." Dar cuts him off. "What is he doing with that book! What are you doing letting anyone touch that! Do you know how dangerous..." He kinda trails off into a growl.
Han responds; "Well I... well, I..." And his eyes lose focus.
The Cleric of Chauntea smiles. "What a noble cause, you all must be adventurers. I am Normand; and I will aid you in any way I can." He pauses, with a cautionary look upon his face. "But be wary. This town has seen assaults from your kind recently; especially in Old Northbank." Normand says to Urselles. "Be aware that if you head any farther north in town, you very well may terrify people."
He turns towards Croak. "Sadly the town is afraid of Orcs as well, even though there has never been an incident with them." He steps over to the podium, looking just a touch impressive; "So, how can I help?"
"thank you mister Normand" Urselles smiles at the fellow Cleric "for now what we most likely need information about the town, what's preventing it from healing, also how devoted would you say your following is"

"I would definitely say devout; but not necessarily devoted. Sure they show up for special celebrations and most make it to service, but it is a struggle to gather coins and supplies for the many poor in Old Northbank." He shakes his head. "Sadly most in Northbank don't have much more than those in Old Northbank; except a few I'd like to see give more."
