As the footsteps of the fleeing Redbrand echo throughout the corridors, Yuri looks at the carnage in the small room. Looking at the remaining Redbrand, Yuri sighs.
"This is not a fight you can win. Is that uniform worth your life?"
Persuasion check to have the remaining Redbrand surrender - 10 (throwing inspiration at it too... Whelp...)

Beaten, bloody and breathing heavy, the Redbrand (1) turns to Yuri. "****...... you," he says before spitting a mouthful of blood onto your boots. He looks back up with a wide grin and teeth coated in a layer of his own blood.

Throwing her handaxe at him, she’ll attempt to knock him out with it. “Just stop it young man! Listen to your elder!” (She is just so frustrated at this young boy)
Redbrand 1 has entered a rage at this point. Nothing is getting through to him. He only see's red against his enemies. He doesn't even notice the axe thrown at him from Gramgran.
Kim, who is in close range to Redbrand 1, takes a dagger out and attempts to finish of the enemy.
Attack: 17 Damage: 6
Kim shoves the dagger deep, falling the Redbrand with her small blade. He falls, sliding off the blade.
Kim falls the Redbrand with her small blade. Redbrand 1 falls to the floor in a bloody mess. Now that the excitment has ended in the room, you all are able to look around. This long room is partitioned into three areas, with iron bars walling off the north and south. Filthy straw lines the floors of those cells, the hinged doors of which are secured by chains and padlocks. A pair of disheveled human women are held in the cell to the south, while a human boy is confined to the north. All are dressed in plain gray tunics and have iron collars fitted around their necks. A heap of discarded clothing is piled carelessly against the far wall. All three humans look terrified at what just took place in front of them.
Morpetor is up. Redbrand 2 is running away and he does not seem like he has any inclination of attacking anyone. Morpetor, do you give chase? Or check on the humans?

Mopetorattempts to strike the fleeing Redbrand (2) in the back with a magical shard of ice. The attack strikes the wall next to Redbrand (2), exploding. Redbrand 2 attempts to avoid the explosion of ice shards.

Redbrand 2 Is able to avoid most of the damage from the ice explosion, taking 4 damage.
Redbrand 2 is up. He will use the dash to make his way further into to manor and out of sight of everyone. You hear 2 door slam before the end of his turn. You assume the second door was the secret door across the hall from the armory.
At this point, you can let him go or continue to give chase. He is going to be hard to find at this point because he has left your line of sight.
Yuri, Gramgran, Van'Lhorn and Kim, are up! We can end initiative if you so choose by letting him go.
Vah'Lhorn, hearing Morpetor's shout and a faint sound of a good after that, will still try to give chase. He will dash after the fleeing man, axe in hand.
Seeing the women and child, Gramgran immediately looks around for any obvious keys. If there are none, she’ll search the dead Redbrand for the keys. If she finds them she’ll try to unlock the cells while talking calmly. “It’ll be alright dears, we’ll get you out of here in a jiffy!” Trying to sound positive.

Yuri sheathes his sword and swings his shield over his shoulder. The Redbrand can go. Hopefully, neither Morpetor or Vah'Lhorn will find him.
Instead Yuri helps Gramgran search for keys to the cells. Investigation - 6
Addressing the poor wretches in the cells he speaks in a calm and steady tone, "We aren't with the Redbrands and judging from where you are, neither are you. Let's see if we can't get you out of here and back to your families."
Kim stays back. She knows she can communicate with Morpetor over distance so she stays behind with the others. She is also interested with those in the cells.
Vah'Lhorn dashes off after the fleeing Redbrand (2). You make it past the storeroom and into the chamber with the one-eyed creature. The creature looks up from the floor of the crevasse at you with a blood covered mouth. He pays you no mind and goes back to his meal. That movement leaves you on the north side of the cavern. You are unable to locate Redbrand 2.
Morpetor gives chase after Vah'Lhorn passes him in pursuit. Morpetor passes through the crypt, storeroom and ends at the edge of the entrance to the cavern.Morpetor was also unable to locate the fleeing Redbrand.
Gramgran is able to locate a set of two keys attached to the belt of Redbrand 1. Gramgram separates the keys, giving one to Yuri. Yuri's makes his way to the northern cell where the teenage boy in caged. Gramgran's key will unlock the southern cell where the young woman and mother are housed. The imprisoned peasants exit their cells and come into the center. The young boy looks terrified of the slain Redbrand in the room. He rushes to his mother. Kim reamins nearby to support the others.
The mother intrudes herself as Mirna Dendrar. She gestures to the young woman, "this is Nilsa my daughter and my son here is Nars. My husband, Thel, I fear he may be dead. Thel came home after a day of work saying he was refusing to pay the Redbrands any gold. I feared retaliation and I believe I was right. The next day, Thel did not return from work. Later that night, the Redbrands entered our home and brought the three of us here. They would not tell me what they did with him."
Mirna begins to break down and starts to cry after being freed. Nars trys to console his mother. "I - we don't have much to give you for rescuing us. When I was a young girl, my family and I had to flee from the town of Thundertree. Hordes of undead overran the town. Those that did not leave were killed. My family had an herb and alchemy shop in the city. Before we left, my father hid a case inside the shop beneath a section of storage shelves. Inside the case is an emerald necklace. I never dared to return and retrieve it. The shop was in the southeast part of Thundertree. I haven't been there since we had left. I have heard stories the city is overrun with the undead."
Seeing the beast still eating his meal, Vah'Lhorn is filled with loathing again... He turns towards Morpetor, "The Redbrand that escaped can bring no good to this venture. Were there any others hereabouts he would have most likely gone straight to them.I do not believe he was so far ahead as to have been able to reach the far end of this room without us seeing some sign of him - though I am only guessing. I would favour that we avoid those routes and be wary at our backs... "
As the monster cracks another bone, the sound echoing through the cavern, Vah'Lhorn clenches his fists "Morpetor, thanks to you for your support in the chase, even that it brings us back to this beast. It is still a tempting place to bury my axe! Should we return to the others... or do you would want to take this moment to bestow some payback on the fiend?" The last is said with a cruel hope twisted into the words, and a scornful glance sent towards the bottom of the crevasse, and his hand swings close to the handle of his axe once more.
Morpetor whispers to Vah’Lhorn, “there is magic in this one that I fear may be greater than what the two of us can fight against and win. However, at the end of the day, I would prefer this place be cleansed of any evil or malicious forces. The people of the town have lived under repression for too long.”
At the mention of a reward, Gramgran just places her hands on top of Mirna’s and says, “Oh honey, it’s okay. We didn’t do this for payment. You needed help, and I can’t just leave such a loving family like that.” Thinking for a second, Gramgran decodes something and tells Mirna, “If I am ever near Thundertree, I will go to your family’s shop and get that necklace for you. Can’t have family heirlooms getting lost, now can we?” Gramgran will spend some time calming the family down, talking in a soothing voice.
