Renvalm is starting to feel infuriated that this goblin refuses to die and now that it has armed itself with someone else's weapon it was now even more of a reason to die. Running towards it he suddenly sees a fireball strike goblin 3. With someone finally hitting something Renvalm feels inspired to hit something and final kill something. Bringing his axe up he strikes at goblin 2. And with that he cleaves it in two. Bending over he retrieves Yuri's long sword from the gore covered ground. Feeling satisfied he starts to make his way back towards Yuri to give it back.
“Spirit. In every language in all the Realms, surface and Underdark, in every time and every place, the word has a ring of strength and determination. It is the hero's strength, the mother's resilience and the poor man's armor. It cannot be broken and it cannot be taken away.”
Gramgran and Renvalm take aim at goblin 2. Renvalm seperates the goblin body at the stomach just before Grangram’s arrow strikes the top half, sending it backwards away from his legs. Goblin insides cover Yuris poor sword.
Dont worry about hitting the same goblin. Also goblin 4 takes full cover after seeing his fellow goblins laid to waste. He is unable to be hit be ranged weapons. He’s 40 feet away from the closest member of the group, Renvalm. No one can make it to the goblin and attack in the same turn.
I know they should be able to move outside of their turn, but i need it for the story. I’ll try to justify it as he has a bonus action he didn’t use his last turn to disengage or hide. He “hides” behind the tree.
Yuri breathes a sigh of relief at seeing the goblin cut down. Knowing it's hands were on his mothers sword made his blood burn red hot. How long had it been at her side? How many battles had it carried her through? His anger lay also with himself, had Renvalm not stopped to retrieve it, it may very well have been lost. Yuri made a mental note to more properly thank both Renvalm and Gramgran when he had the opportunity.
Turning on the spot to face the tree the last goblin had taken refuge behind, Yuri resolved to make himself of use, calling out in the cruel, chattering language of the goblins. "Come out, you have my word you will not be harmed. Your friends are dead, you need not join them."
Skill check: Deception 9

Kim still angry from earlier in the fight she walks towards the goblin (30ft). She yells out to the goblin in his language, "This won't end well for you! I'm gonna put you on ice!"
She starts smirking with a devilish smile. She then raises her hand and cast ray of frost at the tree he is hiding behind. (Imitidation check)

Goblin 4 insight - 4
Goblin 4 hear Yuris proposition, believing himself save if he were to give up. Then the sorcerer’s ice bolt starters into the tree behind the goblins head. He is terrified. He throw his bow to the south just prior to emerging to the north, the direction he will dash. Because of the escaprment he leaps off to the road and the escarpment he must go up, he only make it about 30 feet north. “I don’t trust yous! Magiker tried to kill mes!” He yell from behind another tree sticking his head out trying to take cover.

Removing the palm of his left hand from his face, Morpetor swiftly places his orb back into his well used bag. With a commotion, the last remaining goblin screams out and dives to a new position. As the goblin is landing at his new hiding place in the trees, Morpetor draws back his longbow once again - this time inspired to shoot his arrow straight and true.
Darthos stared at the goblin he'd killed moments before, his eyes wide with shock, the deep red of his skin paling as the blood drained from his face. Forcing himself to look away, he watched as Morpetor shot an arrow into another goblin, killing it, causing him to wince. Suddenly, the scene around him, the dead goblins and their dying cries caused a welling up of nausea and turned from the cart and hurled whatever he'd eaten for breakfast, falling to his hands and knees.
After pulling the arrow out of her side, Gramgran sees Darthos on the ground throwing up. She goes to his side patting and rubbing his back, saying, "Just let it all out. That's it, just let it out," until he's done. Poor boy. I bet that was the first time he's killed anything. I hope everyone else is doing alright. Then she'll take out some rations and try to get him to eat. Gramgran takes stock of everyone's condition, then suggests, "How about a short rest everyone? We need a little break after that ambush. Oh I just knew I should have bought some bandages before coming here."
Surveying the battlefield Renvalm notices that the battle has been won, just barely With the adrenaline he got from the fight winds down and he finally takes stock of his own situation. The goblin arrow from earlier hurt him more then he liked to admit and he needed to do something about the fact it was still in him. Braking off the end of the arrow he pulled it out of his gut, grateful to finally get it out. He wanted nothing more than to rest but there was still work to do. Going over to the dead animals blocking the path he decided to look around the area and possibly see if they could possibly be moved. They needed to get into town and drop off the supplies and see if Gundren Rockseeker made it into town or was waylaid by the same goblins that hit them.

Kim's body starts turning back to the normal color. Her hair is black and pink again, her eyes once again hazel. The winter storm around her has stopped. The emerald amulet turns back to its normal deep green as well. She turns and looks at the others. See assesses the battle field. She speaks to Gramgran, "Can you assess and treat the wounds?"
She walks back towards the cart to assure there is no damage to the supplies. Seeing there is no damage she stand atop the wagon and spouts, "Good job everyone! Some mistakes were made. Some were worse than others. I am glad I can count on this team for this mission. I however, made the biggest mistake. I let a goblin surprise me and nearly killed me. Another inch over and I would have died. I am supposed to set an example for everyone and I failed you all. I am sorry for my incompetence." She slightly bows her head towards the others.
After her speech she jumps down and starts checking the wagon and the horses, obviously trying to avoid eye contact with the others.
How could I let that happen? I looked like I was a damn rookie out there. How many times have I faced death and walked away. At least my mistake didn't waste any lives.
Darthos coughs up the last of the vomit and sits back on his haunches, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand giving a weak nod to Gramgran. "Thank you," he says as he gently moves her hand away, "I don't think I would feel right if I ate your rations when I have my own. But thank you again." With a grunt he stood and looked up at Kim as she spoke then watched her walk off, his eyes catching Renvalm as he went to the horses. With a sigh, he ran a hand through his hair and walked over to Kim. "You did the best you could," he said to her, Boren flying down to land on the cart's railings, one eye staring up at her, "the goblins laid some sort of ambush. It happens to the best of us, but I'm curious why would they lay an ambush here? Were they expecting someone?

Smiling happily, she drifts off for a little bit.

He hears her comment about them having good teamwork and getting along real well and can't help but think it might be true but he would need to learn more about her before he could really trust her. Seeing Gramgran's eyes start to close as she rests against the tree he can't help but let a brief smile appear on his face seeing how peaceful she looks before quickly removing it from his face. Hopefully she didn't see the brief break break in the facade he keeps up to keep others out. Quickly he returns to his search around the area of the dead horses looking for any clues of their riders. He hopes no one saw the brief slip of a smile.

Yuri Naïlo
Yuri wipes the gore from his blade and returns it to its sheath. Instead of returning to the cart and the buzz of activity, he walks over to the beasts that block the trail.
Skill: Perception 19
Yuri looks the animals over, he remembered that Gundren had set off along this trail in advance of the provisions. Was one of these beasts his mount? He checks the saddlebags for marks that might indicate who the riders were and then the area around the animals. There are no riders here, is there a trail showing which direction they were taken? Finally he takes in the trees, wary that further eyes might be upon him and his companions.
Morpetor decides his magic needs some more fine tuning. After transitioning to a long bow, Morpetor let’s an arrow fly. The arrow hits goblin 4. The arrow forces the goblin back as it pins him to another tree. A death screech cuts through the woods and Darthos. Gramgran tries to console the tiefling after what appears to be the first blood he has ever spilled. A quick scan reveals no further goblin lie in wait.
Revalm and Yuri approach the horses blocking the path. Upon closer inspection of the horses, you note these horses are about a day dead. These are the horses Gundren and Sildar left on. The saddle bags are emptied and a map case lays near by. The case is uncapped and empty of its contents. They were downed by arrows with black fletching. They can be moved by a couple of adventurers. The foliage around the area seems to be worn unnaturally. You notice a worn path leading north in the tree line and drag marks near where goblin 4 fell.
Gramgran suggests the group take a short rest. Kim drives the wagon off of the roadway a bit, securing the horses to a tree, before patching up her wounds. The group sits together and takes a short rest after the battle, celebrating a battle won and hard fought. Gramgran is exhausted and take a nap peacefully under a shade tree. As she rests, her aura seems to improve as color returns to her skin. Darthos makes his way over to the group after expelling his breakfast. Yuri join the group after moving the horses. Yuri begins to clean up what he can off his weapon. While wiping off the blood and visceral with a dry rag, he notices most of the gore had dried almost instantly deep in the etchings and lines in the hilt. As you touch the hilt with both hands, you can feel unnatural charge in your hand. (Yuri - arcana check) Everyone can take advantage of a short rest. Expend hit dice or any features you wish to utilize.
Morpetor surveys the battle field to collect his arrows (1/2 of your spent arrows can be recovered). Morpetor returns to the group and divvies our the spoils to the others .

Darthos, tired and mostly in shock from the fight, leans back against the bark of a tree, nibbling on a piece of ration to get something in his stomach as he stares off into space, his spellbook laid on his lap as he slowly went over the spells in his book. And despite his shock, his mind was racing as he slowly went over the chromatic orb spell, he saw others, his master included, do a similar spell without the need of the diamond, and he sat there for the duration of the short rest testing it out if he could figure out how the spell worked, mumbling incantations and weaving strange symbols in the air that glowed with arcane energy, but his efforts were only met with failure in the form of sparks or the incantation leading to nothing. After about a half hour of this, he clicked his tongue in frustration and closed the spellbook.
His mind was too scattered, too traumatized to try and figure out the secrets to another spell. The death of the goblin he killed kept replaying in his head over and over, the horrible scream it made when it was engulfed in fire made him pale again. To think he could cause such pain and agony to another creature, and there he was only a few days ago imagining fighting off hordes of creatures from a village, but not once did he ever think of the cost that killing could bring him. Even a creature like a goblin, which most agreed were evil and foul, and yet ending it had felt foul, as if he'd stolen something that was not his right to take. But hadn't they killed countless others, terrorized simple folk for their war gods.
With a grunt, he looked over to Revalm and Yuri. "I saw you guys searching the horses, I hope you have some good news?"
