Born and raised in a port city, Klaes never knew what a desert looked like. Accustomed to the humidity of his home, he welcomed the dryness and the smell coming from the desert.
He sees the scene of the Hobgoblins trying to take advantage of the three girls. "You know, I think the girls are doing perfectly fine...." He sees the large human boldly approach the gang. "Ohhh never mind." With a heavy sigh, he reaches inside of his suit and takes out a purple cane. He twirls the cane around a little, and gets ready for a potential confrontation.
Initiative: 13 (Not sure why we have advantage, but if we do 17)
(@DM. Instead of a rapier, Klaes has a purple cane that he uses as his speallcasting focus. It has a round handle with a skull on top of it.)

Tymm realizes that he may have erred by provoking this group. He wanted the thugs to stop what they were doing, but that doesn’t mean he wanted to start a brawl in the streets right after arriving here. But he’s in it now. He decides to try one last time to avoid a fight. “I really don’t want to shed your blood on this nice street. Leave now and we can avoid that outcome.”
Tymm will move up to the Hobgoblin and prepare to Dodge if necessary.

So, using the dice roller, along with Advantage on drop dice--I just realized I used the Basic, not Combat!--so that's what my roll. I'll have to remember to use the Combat dice one for Initiative, and other battle rolls. Lesson learned!)
6 flanks the hobgoblin to the right of Tymm. Holding their Shield up on their left arm, they raise their right to point a stubby finger at the villain. The tip of the finger drops down.
Ready action: If the hobgiblin attacks 6 is prepared to shoot a fire bolt at him.

bandit 1: leans the elf girl against a tree and moves to the hobgoblins side. he draws a blade ready to attack. he seems jittery, he may cause trouble sooner rather than later.
bandit 4: drops the human girl he was barely holding onto anyway and motions for her to keep quiet and still. then he too moves to the hobgoblins side. crossing his arms he makes no move to draw his own weapon but glances at his comrade with the sword drawn nervously.
Klaes rubs the skull shaped handle of his purple cane, and send some invisible spirits towards the enemy. (He casts Bane on the Hobgoblin, Bandit 1 and Bandit 4. CHA DC 13) (If anyone fails the save, the affected creature hears whispers from spirits that distract them.)

Richie plants his feet on the ground, shield before him, as a golden yellow aura starts to form around him, and upon the Holy Symbol on his shield.
"May these blessings be upon you as you enter combat. May you find the strength and courage to honor those who came before you, and those you ally with now. May grace guide your words and actions, leading to a successful outcome. May our relationships be strengthened and deepened, and may we emerge stronger and more connected than ever before!"
As he chants, the low level aura flickers about his body, dancing with anticipation.
"Tymm Stoneknuckle! Zelthar! 6! BLESS!" The light bursts forth, settling upon those named, to even the odds for them.

(Unfortunately Zelthar doesn’t have anything with an attack roll But perhaps this is a little better…) Zelthar waves his staff in in a figure 8 pattern as his body matches the motions, creating an almost drunken pattern as he casts [spell]sleep[/sleep] for 18 hp worth of enemies. “Shhhhhh”
the hobgoblin and bandits look in awe at richie as he weaves and chants (bandit 3 moved to stand beside the others) then they look over at zelthar and the two of the bandits droop down falling fast asleep. the other bandit seems to faulter and drops to a knee, but stays awake. the hobgoblin looks around with fury in his eyes at his fallen comrades. he draws his sword and aims it at tymm "i'll tear you to peices flame elf!" and with that runs at and swings his sword down on tymm.
19 to hit, 13 slashing damage
one bandit is still holding the viscously struggling winged girl by the wrists to the tree. and she continues to shout curses and threats on the bandit.
