“Fine, we can head there. I would be curious to learn more in the temple, perhaps. Or a nice library. Somewhere nice, warm, and dry. With a little glass of sherry. But… I suppose an inn will do.” Togar fashions a 3 foot tall object that has the appearance of an umbrella, holding it over his head. He follows along, seeing where the next path leads. “When the storm passes, we should head south…”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
You all rush into the Inn, trying to get out of the storm and scatter water all over the lobby as you pile in. It isn't a big place, but there is a fire in the hearth in the corner, with a couple of humans huddled near it, their eyes on you as you all entered.
At the other end of the lobby are a few cushy chairs that are empty. The man behind the counter sighs a loud sigh as you all enter, has a mop in hand and had clearly just finished mopping up the water from the humans that had entered prior to you all. Clearly scowling at you, he moves back towards the door and gives you all a shooing motion so he can clean up the water, even though you are still dripping and it is pointless.
In a blur of motion, Badger-Drip leaps down from Elmer’s shoulder, landing with a soft thud on the wooden floor of the inn. Without missing a beat, he gives himself a vigorous shake, sending water droplets flying in every direction. The inn's interior becomes misted with his spray, and any patrons probably groan as their drinks and clothes get unexpectedly damp.
Once his fur is suitably dry, Drip’s keen badger nose twitches. He lowers his snout to the floor, sniffing loudly, the scent of food instantly catching his attention. With small, determined steps, he begins to zigzag between tables, nosing into corners and under chairs in search of scraps, ignoring the curious and irritated glances from the inn’s patrons. To Drip, nothing mattered more at that moment than tracking down a discarded crust of bread or a forgotten bit of meat—after all, adventuring was hungry work dude.
Anachain just sighs and heads for one of the cushy chairs. She can't even right now. She needs a drink and a few moments or ignoring everything...
She does have Myrth skirt around the room invisibly and perhaps eavesdrop a bit on the innkeeper and the other guests. It is always best to get the lowdown and the gossip of a room, specially when you can do so without ever having to move a muscle.
The proprietor notices Drip-badger as he scampers off of Elmer and heads for crumbs on the floor. "No! No no no nope! No furry beast is allowed in my Inn. I thought it was just a wet fur you had around your neck sir, please remove him or all of yourselves from the premises!" He looks at you all angrily, noting that one of you has made yourself comfortable and he has no problem booting you all if you don't listen.
Anachain instinctively looks at Elmer and is about to defend him against being called a beast... But she decides she's comfortable in her chair and perhaps if she stays out of it she won't be viewed as one of them and will be allowed to remain even after they get themselves thrown out. "The storm came right out of nowhere," she notes to the other guests. "I thought I'd be washed right away..."
As Drip darts through the legs of the mop-wielding man, his furred badger body suddenly shifts mid-stride. In an instant, he emerges from the other side, standing in his usual three-foot-tall, glistening humanoid form. Droplets still cling to his skin, making him appear as though he's just stepped out of the sea.
"Chill, dude," he says nonchalantly, his nose still twitching. "It’s just a bit o' water."
With a lazy flick of his wrist, he casts Destroy Water and waits in anticipation.
Elmer smiles stupidly enthusiastically, watching the look on the innkeeper's face as the badger turns back into Drip.
"Pretty neat, huh?" He says to the innkeeper, adding, "It's crazy. I just met these guys!" and "Oh, um... And do you have any milk? Warmed up please if that's not too much trouble."

The Innkeepers mouth hangs open as Drip turns back to his water genasi form. He stops mopping and stands there, stupefied. When Drip casts his spell, the water on the walls, furniture and floor does indeed dry up - but the drinks stay the same. The man starts backing up and heads back behind his counter where he feels a bit safer from the group that has just entered.
Taking a peak at the humans in the corner, he sees that they are watching things unfold but aren't put out in any way, he turns back to the band. "Y-yes, the Inn has stables. And warm milk.. yes, I can get that for you. Anything else?"
Kulloda eats whatever food is available then heads out to check on the stables and see if there are any horses there. After that, if there is an empty stall with clean dry hay, he'll sleep there. Growing up the way he did makes sleeping in rooms and on beds difficult.
Now that the water is cleaned up and the animal has since become humanoid again, the man seems a bit more at ease with the situation as he heads back behind the desk and looks to see how many rooms are available. He glances over to the two humans by the fire, but they don't object or try to intervene in any way, so he looks and to Mother Anachain, "Yes, I have three rooms available if that is what you are looking for?" He appears to do some math in his head and then with a decision apparently made, "3 gold total for the three rooms and 5 meals with ale."
He whistles and a woman peaks out from a doorway behind the desk. The man points to the 5 of you as the other two are still quiet by the fire, and nods. She disappears, but then comes back with plates of food, fish, bread, roasted vegetables and the like. Placing the plates at your table, she heads back and returns with a pitcher of ale and 5 mugs.
At the stables, there are half a dozen horses in decent shape. Kulloda does indeed find an empty stall with clean dry hay.
Anachain smiles and thanks proprietor, or employee? for their assistant. She turns to the others - Drip and Elmer and Togar (If Kulloda has already departed to the stable) - and remarks generally that they should "Pay the man." Alas, her coinpurse is empty. Still, she doesn't look as if she should be coinless... If one was really paying attention she looks healthier and generally better off than she did when the storm first broke above them. It is subtle things, more fullness to her features, more color to her clothes. Others are unlikely to notice at all but her companions perhaps do... They they could easily just assume it was coming in and drying off or such which explains the change.
((With the change from her original role, Anachain's looks will be slowly and subtly changing too until she looks more... Eh, typical D&D I guess? lol... Pact Feature of Mask of Many Faces allows her to cast Disguise Self at will so it is a slow change over time but eventually she probably looks much more like the below (minus the li'l dragon) than the original image... Though she'd be wearing the skull mask on her hip still...))
Anachain would attempt to engage the other party of people in conversation while she ate. Look to find out if they too came to escape the storm or if they intended to be here and other small talk. If they are locals she would ask them if they knew the story of the Pearl and get their take on whether it is a myth or not.
As soon as the food hits the table, Drip wastes no time, diving into the meal with reckless abandon. He shovels mouthful after mouthful, barely taking a breath between bites. At one point, his attention shifts to Mother Anachain, and between mouthfuls, he casually mutters, “I don’t have any money, dude, but thanks for ordering me something all the same. Karma dude.”
Without waiting for a response, he turns back to the food, stuffing his face with the same carefree enthusiasm, as if the concept of paying never really occurred to him in the first place.
Anachain says nothing more about money, not having a single coin to her name. Best to at least get the meal eaten before the matter is pushed to the next level...
Drip leans back in his chair, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand as he speaks through a full mouth of food. "You need help in your kitchen, dude? In this economy? Lotsa people lookin' for work." He pauses, glancing lazily around the room before adding with a shrug, "Not me though, I’m not into work. Too much effort."
"Oh, gosh," Says Elmer, pulling out his coin purse, dumping its entire 10 GP contents on the table in full view of the entire inn."I have some gold here. I can take care of everyone. Let's see..."
He carefully counting three coins, repeating the count once to make sure he's got it right.
"Think this'll be enough?" He asks, then earnestly looks around the room. "Maybe there are some other people here who don't have enough coin. I can probably pay for them too, right? I should probably make some kind of announcement."

Elmer follows the others, reaching up giving Drip an amiable little back scratch as they walk.

Before heading to the stable to count horses and find a spot to sleep Kulloda eats quickly.

”That one can help in the kitchen, cleaning up to pay his bill,” Kulloda says, pointing out Drip to the innkeeper.
