Hank sees that his advantage has been leveled out as the half-orc starts raging and their hands are once again even. Giving a slight nod to his friend, the other dwarf comes out from the shadows and tosses a gold coin on the table.
"Five to one that the big guy loses. Who wants a piece of that action?" After his question he mumbles under his breath and then looks at Fable for a moment before checking the rest of the room to see if anyone is interested. Ignoring Sully. (Anyone invested in the fight, feel free to make a perception check)
With her now being noticed, Fable comes out of hiding with a small sigh. She takes the tray of drinks over to the table and servers them to everyone sitting down before heading over to the other dwarf. She leaves Kulloda's tea on the tray. "I'll place 3 gold on Kulloda then," Fable grins at the dwarf, confidence radiating off of her.
Perception 21.
She watches closely the two of them. Looking for any funny business, or atleast any from Hank's end. She goes back to Kasizeth's side while also pulling out a book and sets it down on the bar. She traces the gold engravings absently.
Togar’s head rotates around as he answers Anachain’s question, “Nothing in particular that I can think of, but let me concentrate on the memory further, maybe there is something notable about the house…” He forks some more of the mead into his mouth, beak clicking and tongue moving in an odd fashion as he swallows the mead and then makes a smacking noise with his tongue. “Hmmm. Good. Maybe if you can’t get tea, you should try some mead….” Then his head twists around to observe the feats of strength and airing of grievances. He reaches into his pocket and throws 1 gold piece on the table. “My bet is on Kulloda..”. He says under his breath, “He looks like he could carry many things, many rugs!”
As things start to heat up with the arm wrestling match, tension palpable on both sides and now with the wager in the mix of things, the final burst of energy is sent from both sides. The dwarf slams Kulloda's hand down hard on the table and whoops in triumph. (19 vs Kulloda's 12)
Amos happily sweeps up the coin and gives it to Hank.
Hank stands up as well, his chair falling to the floor with a loud clatter as he disregards this and draws out his sword. "You callin me a cheat? Inside me? Bah, I dare ya."
So with Kulloda, Fable, Hank and Amos at one table, Sully at a nearby one, Togar, Mother Anachain, Misa at one a little further away and Kasizeth at the bar with Luca... initiative has started.
"Somebody cheat. You. Him" Kulloda says nodding at Hank then Amos.
For the briefest of moments the idea of using fists tries to force its way into Kulloda's mind, but unfortunately the half-orc is already seeing red.
Instead he hefts his gleaming great sword and brings it down hard on Hank (20 to hit for 14 magical slashing plus 2 from rage plus 7 necrotic from Divine Fury for 23 damage)
On her turn... Mother Anachain raises a brow as she watches the brute act in a way very, very familiar to her. The thought even occurs to her that such a mindless, dishonorable creature may have been amongst the horde that swept through her wedding... Her eyes narrow and she studies the thug, her teacup clattering against the saucer as she gets a bit of the shakes as her anger rises inside of her... But the it stops and she steadies herself. "No," she whispers to herself. I'd know if he was one. Surely. Or so she told herself and instead of defending the dwarves she instead merely takes a sip of tea and watches the show.
Kasizeth looks from the dwarves to Kulloda and back and you can see the shock of what happened does not sit well with the knight. He takes a final swig of his drink, sets it on the table, bows to Fable and Misa, and heads out the door.
As chaos unfolds around her, Misa remains composed, her eyes narrowing as she assesses the situation. She rises gracefully from her seat, stepping closer to the conflict. Her voice, smooth and low, cuts through the tension as she addresses the dwarves with an almost hypnotic tone.
“Now, now, boys,” she coos, locking eyes with Hank. “There’s no need for all this unpleasantness. Wouldn't it be wiser to settle this with words rather than weapons?"
She takes another step closer, her voice dripping with honeyed sweetness as she casts Suggestion on the dwarf. "Why don't you admit that you used a little trick to win, hand back my friends' gold, and perhaps call it a night? After all, a fair game is always more enjoyable, and leaving on good terms is far better than facing unnecessary consequences, wouldn't you agree?"
Togar turns and stands, arms rested on his waist, mind focused on the dwarf. He remains ready to take next actions if needed, but waits after Mina’s suggestion, awaiting the effect. “Right-o, I agree. Anyone could have spotted that…”
Kulloda's attack did a number on the dwarf. He stands there, looking a little woozy, blood dripping down his clothes from the gash across his chest. As Misa steps forward, her voice a welcome attraction to his surroundings... but her words, he sours. "A trick to win? How dare ye! I won fair and square and I'm keepin my winnins!"(save was 20)
Before he has a chance to say anymore, the door bursts open and three orcs enter the tavern. Luca's eyes go wide, already on high alert with the current situation and ducks behind the bar. The orc in front points to Hank and Amos and yells, "There they are! I knew they'd be back here to steal from others, they can't help themselves!" He walks over to the table that Anachain and Togar are sitting at, grabs the drink that Togar was using and throws it at Amos.
The mug hits the dwarf squarely in the forehead causing 7 damage to Amos.
Hank, feeling really bad and now seeing the orcs at the door, looks to Kulloda, "Um... maybe a do over is in order?" and he sits down, trying to make himself small and dodges.
Togar’s eyes go wide, he is in the midst of saying “Hey… I wasn’t’ finished with that…” when he sees the cup go sailing into the dwarf’s head. He turns and points toward Hank and Amos, saying “Rozerem!”
He casts sleep on the two dwarfs, trying to keep any other members of the party out of the area of effect.
Hank immediately lays his head down on the table, he's probably lucky he had already sat down as Togar's spell takes hold and he starts snoring. Amos is still well and alert though, looking angry with the welt growing on his forehead.
Amos looks from the orcs to the party and seeing what Kulloda did to his friend and how Hank magically fell asleep, he finds the party more of an immediate threat. Taking out his handaxe, he spins it so the blunt end is used, not the blade and swings it at the barbarian. It bounces harmlessly off Kulloda's hide and Amos gulps.
Sully gets up and swaggers from his table, obviously about to fall at any moment. He yells at the newcomers, "Outtttttta my bar!" He then starts staggering to Kulloda and tries to shove him, "Puttta ways yous weapon!"
As the curtain falls and the townsfolk begin to stir from their enchanted slumber, a small, glistening figure suddenly stands. Drip, wearing only a loincloth, his hairless skin gleaming with moisture, stands on his chair and tosses his empty cup toward the stage.
“Boo!” he heckles loudly, his voice cutting through the murmurs of the waking crowd. “Aeloria already told me all that, dude! I’ll be at the bar.” With a casual wave, he saunters toward the exit.
He casually strolls out, leaving the others who are still processing the story. Drip heads straight to the nearest bar, finds a comfortable corner, and curls up under a table, drifting off to sleep.
—— Some time later ——
“Keep it down, dudes,” Drip calls, his tone laid-back and unconcerned. “Trying to nap over here.” With that, Drip rolls over and opens his eyes to take in the chaotic scene around him as he stretches and yawns.
Fable looks over at the napping water genasi, her eye twitches as she is already annoyed at being cheated from, but one thing at a time. She turns to Amos, "I can always admire a good game, even cheating. But you have to be good enough not to be caught. I'll be nice for Sully's sake. Give back the money, and any more you might have collected earlier and we can forget this happened. Refuse and well..." Fable smirks while gesturing to Hank. intimidation 10
Amos stares at the half-elf as he weighs out his options.
At the door, the other two orcs charge into the space and try to understand the situation. Seeing Hank asleep kind of deflates them a bit, but they see Amos behind Sully. Deciding to just block the entrance to the bar, they stay put and dodge.
Out of the corner of his eye, Kulloda sees the drunken Sully coming towards him.
“No, Kulloda not fighting you. Fighting them.” Kulloda says, indicating the sleeping Hank and the stubborn Amos.
Kulloda neatly sidesteps Sully’s rush and avoids all contact. (Athletics 27 - Nat 20).
He looks at the sleeping Hank and decides he’s harmless now and advances on Amos.
”Should throw axe better,” Kulloda says as he swings his great sword at Amos. Despite being in a rage, the fact everyone else is not trying to kill anyone causes him to turn the blade at the last second, using the flat instead of the edge. He might end up clubbing Amos to death but at least he won’t cut his head off.
Attacks w/ Godsbane - (12, 4 +8) = 20 to hit for (17+2 from rage and +5 necrotic from Divine Fury) = 24
As Kulloda sidesteps the owner, Sully continues his stumble until he reaches the bar and leans against it, looking for Luca. The human looks up from his hiding place behind the bar and smiles at his boss, giving him a little wave.
Amos no longer has to decide what he is going to do next as Kulloda's flat blade knocks him out cold.

Anachain is watching intently, if acting as if just mildly interested...

"Kulloda strong but then get weaker," he says to Hank, then he looks at Amos and then back to Hank. "You use tricks. Magic maybe."
He stands quickly, pushing the table and then picking up his weapons, drawing the heavy thick black bladed great sword from its scabbard.
"Tell truth, or Kulloda look for it inside you," Kulloda says (Intimidation: 8)
