Too bad that the undead's chainmail is no less resilient than the necromancy-animated flesh... the heavy blade impacts the rings of metal, but fails to cut through them.
Elias in shock as Khessa's mighty seems to do no damage to Z1, flicks his small quill in the air and cast magic missile at the zombie, as the small darts fly toward the creature the blue arcane energy changes to three small bolts of fire, doing 4 + 2 + 4 points if fire damage. ((If the first two kill it can I direct the 3rd to the other zombie?))
REYAseeing SNAKE ROSEBUDall wrapped around the Thin Woman, turns her attention to the Bane Cultist Zombie types. She moves and hacks with her greatsword. The blow glances off the Bane Zombie's chainmail.
Rosalinesees the witch fall with satisfaction... but the remnants of her dark magic still needs to be dealt with. The Inquisitor will go in for the kill against the nearest remaining enemy (I'm assuming one of the Bane zombies), using her twin shortswords.
KHESSA’sGreataxe flies through the air again, the heavy blade impacts the rings of metal but fails to cut through them.
ELIAS flicks his small quill in the air and cast magic missile at the first zombie. He needs all of the missiles to finally drop the undead BANE CULTIST.
REYA moves to attack the remaining BANE ZOMBIE.But the Paladin was unable to penetrate the Undead’s chainmail.
ROSALINEon the other hand, has no issue finding spots in the armor to strike the lastBANE ZOMBIE.
The last BANE ZOMBIE, now missing body parts, flails its mace harmlessly at the party.
'Of course, silly me...' Khessa thinks, amazed at the ease with which Roslaine penetrates the armor with her thrusts. 'With a thrust! To better penetrate the metal rings of a chainmail, I must attack with a thrust! I'd better get myself a sharp weapon, first chance I get...'
Mistynip over to Kheesa and reaches out to grasp the last Zombie, enough!!! by the might and power of Helm!! she casts Shocking Grasp 15 to hit with 2 points damage.
Rosebud (Snake) does a little victory wiggle and attempts to stand on her tail but knocks her breath out when she falls down. She returns to her normal self and says, "Uff, I really need to work on my dance moves. But the huggy was nice." She smiles in her memory of squishing the toothpick lady and then, with lines of concentration breaking out on to her tiny face, asks, "Umm, do we need to burn or bury these beasts, after we search them, to make sure they don't bother us again?"
"Good idea, Rosebud!" Khessa smiles, happy that another branch of the Cultists should have been eradicated "And great work, with that Rag-Fashion Leader, by the way... I also think she needed a heartfelt hug!" she puts the two zombies and the two leaders aside in a corner of the room and, after removing any valuables, has them quickly consumed by voracious magical flames.
"Truly a great job by everyone..." the blonde arcane warrior pats on the shoulder Reya, Mistynip, Rosaline... and finally, reaching Elias, she hugs him "Thank you for being by my side in yet another battle. It's comforting to know that even when my weapons betray me, you never do".
After sharing with all the zombies' and leaders' belongings, the tall adventuress muses aloud: "The Bhaal Cultists' area should be somewhere else entirely, to the west... at least if we've deciphered the meaning of the carvings on the doors. But perhaps we should first make sure we haven't left any more Cultists scattered here... even without leaders, they could regroup and resume their murderous habits. Shall we open" she asks all her companions "the door the rats were running towards?"
ROSEBUD will notice that the gap at the bottom of the eastern-most door is large enough for the skeletal rats to move under.
Besides three suits of chainmail, an iron helm, two longbows, 30 arrows, three maces, a silver skulled flail, black robes that smell of death, and a tiny silver key stuck in the locks of the Master of Soul's hair; the party will find a dusty book with a black leather covers and sports a tiny, skull-shaped locking mechanism.
"These weapons and armor..." Khessa ponders "Three suits of chainmail, two longbows, three maces, a silver skulled flail... They could fetch something if resold. But it would be cumbersome to carry everything now. Let's just take the silver skulled flail for now, and leave the rest in this chamber... we'll recover everything before we leave for good".
Then, the blonde arcane warrior places the dusty book with a black leather cover on the altar and, from a distance, uses her Mage Hand to try to open its skull-shaped locking using the tiny silver key.
Rosaline wipes the putrid blood of the cultist and the two zombies off on the defeated cultist's cloak before she sheathes the blades again.
"I am uninjured," she replies, taking a moment to kick the deceased Master of Souls one last time out of pure spite. "If we want to bring back some of the cultists' weapons or armor for some quick coin I can carry a fair amount. I'm stronger than I look, and my own gear is not especially cumbersome."

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
KHESSA takes the dusty black leather book with the tiny, skull-shaped locking mechanism to the altar. And using her Mage Hand uses the tiny key to open the tiny lock. Immediately, a wisp of black smoke rises from its pages and coalesces into a skull that cackles madly for a few seconds before dissipating.
Khessa sighs with relief for not being closer to the black smoke skull... maybe the apparition was only able to scare - but maybe it could have been able to cause harm instead.
Anyway, now that the skull has dissipated, the blonde arcane warrior comes forward and tries to read a little to get an idea of the book's content. When it is necessary to turn the page, she still avoids touching it as a precaution and lets the magic hand do it.
The tall adventuress meanwhile replies to the inquisitor: "I do not doubt for a moment your strength, Rosaline. I noticed that your thrusts broke through the links of the mail and penetrated deeply... I'm quite relieved you are on our side - and not against us. My only concern is that bulky objects such as armor might hinder you while carrying them - which is why I suggested returning later, once the cleaning is complete, before leaving the dungeon. But I am sure that you know better than I what you feel or do not feel like doing. Whatever you think you can carry without any problems, feel free to take it".
Elias watches Khessa carefully, having heard of safe guards ie traps placed on certain books and tomes to hinder theft he's never actually seen in action, careful, is it a spell book of some sort?
Partially listening to the talk around him concerning the gear, he absently replies, I've got a spell to help us carry cumbersome loot out. Assuming this place has only the one entry then we could secure these items in a central location and pick them up on our way out.

Shortsword 1
Attack: 20; Damage: 10 (RAGE bonus added manually) + 3 Sneak Attack damage.
Shortsword 2
Attack: 22; Damage: 4 (manually adjusted to remove ability mod and add RAGE bonus)
(Edited after I realized that the Master of Souls died before Rosaline got the chance to end her)
