Longtooth darts past everyone, grabbing the glass decanter of glowing violet liquid on the way past, and dives into the vent. (When you have gone through the vent you see, A long finely crafted dining table dominates the centre of the room. Sitting in each of the eight chairs around the table are skeletal remains dressed in fine attire. Shockingly the head of each dinner guest is missing. Set out in front of each skeleton is a large plate with a dome cover. The table is also adorned with fine cutlery and two silver candelabras. On the south wall is a large painting of the full moon.)
Seeing Longtooth grab the decanter, Expos will quickly cast Minor Illusion of a similar decanter in its place, and then follow the others into the vent!
Liam also feels the need to run and joins in moving through the vent.
Upon seeing the table and set up, he will remove the dome cover and examine what's underneath.
Under seven of the eight covers you find nothing. Under the eighth is another skull with another rune carved into its head. (I am going to just give you this one for free to save some time as you also rolled a 22 earlier.) The symbol of the rune seems to represent a third-quarter moon.
"We should probably take that skull, right?" Expos will say to Liam, then follow Boomi.
Longtooth tries to pick up the skull but it seems to be stuck. "I say just leave it here. why carry a bunch of things around when this could be the 'home base'. its easy to escape into different rooms from here and i can always try to hold him off first."
Boomi will walk to the room that is not the master and go in
The 20’ x 20’ parlor room contains comfortable chairs and other fine furnishings. In the corner of the room is a large ornate vase. Up against the south wall is a matching pair of wooden chairs and a solid block table with a marble surface marked into black and white squares. To the left, a book stand with dusty books is found. Lit torches with levers in front of them have been laid out on a Chess board, a popular game played amongst nobility. It appears as if someone left a game unfinished. Seven of the ten torches are still lit with three of the torches unlit with the levers having been pulled away from the torch. There is a timer above the table that has the number, '10', on it.
Longtooth sprints into the room. "RUN! Into that vent! I couldn't stop him!" (The Imp appears.) "Master is home! He will feast!" (and vanishes again.)
