As Liana fumbles with the man's belt, she sees a familiar green claw reach forward and grabs the guard's face, banging his face against the bars. The guard groans before falling unconscious. The vines fall off from the lizardfolk's arm. He hoists the guard up so Liana could get the key.
[Current time]
You all see at the other end of the hall, where the guard sat, is a few large chests, with a sign over it, 'Confiscated Equipment'. (It will take a moment to have everyone get and equip their equipment. Go ahead and add starting equipment but no guns yet.) As you all put on your taken gear, a few of you note that you are missing your pistols. The lizardfolk also joined your group as he rummages through the chest, pulling out a sickle and a sprig of mistletoe.
(Will take a moment to let you all describe what you wield.)
While all this has happened, you all did cause a bit of noise. But the engine room that lies at the end of the hall still stays quiet, its almost broken down door eerily silent. Vayu and Ford, you know the layout of a ship like this and the way to the stairs lies beyond the engine room. The cells just being part of the storage upon the rear end of the ship.
"What should I call you, sir?" Liana smiles at the lizardfolk as she fashions herself with a pair of daggers and a hand crossbow. She places her iconic mask securely over her face, completing her look. "I can't imagine it is comfortable for us to refer to you as lizardfolk much of the time, perhaps you can settle for a name like, Rupert? Or maybe you are more like a Barry."
If she was wearing prison garb, Liana will change in front of everyone with no shame. She wears only cloth that is made up with shades of reddish browns. "I can fly a ship. I quite enjoy doing it, but I wouldn't rob that joy from anyone else if they'd like to try their hand at it."

As Nate finds his own gear, he sets the greataxe down, and dons his own. He puts on chainmail, and picks up his weapons. the rapier goes on his belt, and the scimitar on his back, along with the crossbow. He points to the engine room, and says, "That's the best bet out of here. The stairs are on the other side of that door. I say with this many people, our best best is to just get gone. And I can also fly this if need be." He walks to the door and listens for any movement or sounds.
He glances up at the woman, “I have no idea what is happening, they didn’t even tell me why I was arrested!”He looks around the room, trying to absorb the whole scene. This just seems hopeless. Out of nowhere vines burest from an adjacent cell! What in the world is that! Fulqrim jumps up to get a closer look at what is happening. He goes to grab his journal to take notes. “Oh yea, of course.” After a moment the guard goes unconscious, as the people in the cell start unlocking the gates. “Over here! Please get us out of here!”He stares at the lock as the key is inserted. The gate pops open with a click. “Yes, thank you!”He turns to the woman, with whom he shared a cell. “Let’s get out of here.”Fulqrim heads straight for the chest of belongings. He quickly dons his bandolier, which contained a number small vials. He then grabs his lab coat, which is quite dirty and worn out, in the pocket sits his beloved journal. He takes is out and gives a kiss. “Oh how I’ve missed you friend!” Finally he takes grabs his rapier, and puts his daggers in there holsters. He looks around as everyone is donning their equipment. “Everything is going to turn out fine.” He grabs his glasses out of the front pocket of is coat , gives them a polish, and places them on his head. “Who takes a person’s glasses from them anyway!” He looks at everyone, “The name is Fulqrim Penteratrix, it’s a pleasure to meet your accquanintance!”
Thank you for the offer but I think I'll just stick to my gear. The Genasi responds heading for the chests of gear.
When he reaches the chest he'll pull out his leather armor and strap it on along with two scimitars he'll hang on his back.
Damn, they took my guns! Looks like we'll have to take care of them the old fashion way. As he says this he'll pull both of his scimitars back out ready for some action.
He'll lean in close to the half-orc and whisper to him, No matter what happens stick together. I'm not sure about these other guys but I'm sure we'll need them if we want to get out of here. We'll have to take charge and hope they're better killers than they look...
"Pleased to meet you, Fulqrim. Now let's work on our escape." Liana follows Nate toward the engineer room, "A man of action, I like that. Lead on, my friend. I'll be sure to heal you up in a pinch should something happen with you in the lead." Liana grins as her fingertips burn red for a moment.

"Yeah, you do that." Speaking to everyone, he says, "Name's Nate, now I don't hear anything goin' on, so if everybody's ready, let's get out of the prison ship alright?" If he doesn't hear or see anything through the hole in the door, Nate will try to reach through and unlock it from the other side.

The room is quite dark except for the few lights and dials near the engine go off and on. But you also note the lack of engineers in the room, normally a ship this large would need about 8 engineers running and checking it, roaming the ship and quarters. And as you keep looking about, you see a flash of light reflect off something. It's a sword, discarded onto the floor.
Nate goes in and picks up the sword. He looks at it, seeing if there's any blood on it, and if he can see any bodies on the floor. Calling the others in, he looks at the engine. Is it functional, or has it been tampered with in any way?
Nate you see no blood upon the sword as you examine it, it appears to have just fallen out of its sheath. But you do notice a few marks upon the floor, as if something was dragged out. The engine itself is still functional, yet you still see no signs of the engineers. You can hear a low whistle coming from somewhere in the room and a buzzing sound?
Nate takes the sword and tells everyone about the marks and the sounds in the room. "Come on, if something's happening on this ship, we might have a chance. If we're taking this ship, let's make sure the engine isn't gonna blow on the escape." He heads towards the sounds.
Liana follows Nate, ready to heal anyone should something blow up in their faces.

"I am not an expert, but," Liana looks around the room as the sound becomes a bit much for her ears, "that doesn't sound good at all!" She lays a hand on herself for guidance.
Investigation: 13 + 3. If Liana cannot find the source, she will guidance at least one other person who seems to be checking.

As the others begin to retrieve their own arms that were confiscated, Lilliana sighs as she realizes none of her belongings were with her the day she was arrested; however, she does locate her set of fine clothing and her father's pendant. She smiles as she picks up the small, shield-shaped pendant with a large blue gem set into the center, but quickly notices that the fine silver chain was missing and the smile turns to a look of disappointment. She begins rummaging around some of the other compartments and finds a leather thong that she loops through it and wraps around her wrist. She finds a set of leather armor cut for her size, a few daggers which she slips into the belt of the armor, and a handaxe. She places her own clothing into a backpack she finds nearby, preferring not to soil the clothes with the filthy of a prisoner transport. She glances over as Liana strips down unabashedly and blushes before quickly turning away from the display. Once the others are ready, she nods and follows behind.

She glances around the compartment, wondering what happened to the crew. Her keen, green eyes glance around the darkened room without issue and she decides to play the role of the human woman she appeared to be by squinting and making it seem that she was having a difficult time. "What is that strange noise?" She whispers to her companions.

As you all can start to discern where the buzzing is coming from. You all start to see it in the dark, darting about randomly. A gross looking hybrid of bat and a mosquito twitches about and flies around the room randomly. And as you all begin to see the sources of buzzing be the same thing, they are heading towards you all.
(Roll for initiative. 4 of them are in the room. I'm assuming you all are about near the center of the room and the monsters are just about all in front of you all.)
