Again Tatts' attacks strike through the scales of the dragon. It reels for a moment from the menacing of the first attack before steeling its resolve. Lightning begins to well up in its maw as it snarls to the dragonborn in Draconic, "You're a stubborn little one." And then lightning bursts forth.

Will be getting the Vile Warlock + Bodyguard run again. Need to double-check some specifics on buffing up the warlocks defensive ability a bit. (Still keeping it at CR 5 most likely though. Was in the CR 1/2 defensive so gonna try bumping that to defensive CR 1 which.)
For the next run against the dragon, will make sure to give you guys each Inspiration (which I run as a reroll after you see the die's result as opposed to spending it for advantage on the roll before seeing any results) and a Potion of Healing. Hopefully that helps with being able to succeed on the DEX save and being able to get someone up after they're downed to ease with the action economy. Also need to look through the magic items for possible loots in the dragon horde so it's also a potential source of mid-combat interaction. Plus letting you choose your entering positions. (Between the dragon going first and the way I'd placed the characters at the entrance of the map, was a hit to have Morjan go down and Tatts highly damaged right out the gate.)
And for the 2nd run of the Vile Warlock + Bodyguard, you're all back at full health / resources. ]]

The warlock is turned into a pin cushion under Herron's onslaught as arrow after arrow thuds into it, dealing grievous wounds.
[[ Technically it should be dead with 65 hit points. But will test a quick addition of the Relentless trait, usually seen on things like boars and such. Would push its defensive CR enough to be CR 6 as opposed to 5. And makes some sense in-world for what it's intended to be used with. (I'll see.)
On the flip side, the fact you guys are chewing through this guy a second time in the row also bodes well for it being part of a mini-dungeon that would have a group or two more than just the Warlock+Bodyguard and Dragon. (Although will have to see how that dragon fight goes this time, since that's the biggie.) ]]
