The kenku seems a bit downhearted as it puts the pearl necklace back and then moves on. He takes a seat just before the bar.
Arnold takes the drink from Ragella and returns to the elf woman. "Here we are." He says, bringing a foamy white drink with a pleasant aroma. "This is known as Angel's Tears. It's a recipe said to have originated from a pair of adventurers who travelled to Celestia and back. It isn't too strong, but it has a more refined taste; I hope it is to your liking."
Taking the drink from the gentalmen, she gave him a slight bow of her head, "Thank you sir." She said softly as she brought the drink to her nose to take a sniff to let the aroma fill her senses making her close her eye and smile warmly as she took a sip. She looked at Arnold still smiling, "This is amazing." She said in elvish as she took another sip.
Emryson will shake his head and chuckle lightly as he down the last of his drink, letting the alcohol serve as liquid courage as he slowly gets comfortable in his spot. "Fine fine I'll see if old memory of mine can dust off a memory approraite for the current audience...." He pausez for several seconds to gather his thougts, his hand moving to rest on the symbol be wore around his neck.
"This happened about fourty or so years ago when I was a bright faced young man that thought he would be the next great hero of his Homeland. I had just began my apprenticeship under a skilled ranger that was known by Quin Three Finger due to a lack of two on his main hand. Regardless of that I had been with him for a few months at the time and he had seen it fit to send me out to try and tame a beast that I would use as a companion during my training with him.k Being young as I was I instantly decided that the beast would be a local bear that was known to able to down a raging orc with a single swipe of its paw. As you can imagine it did not go well and after tracking the blasted thing for three days I ended up only catching a squirell and a rather angry dwarf that had gotten caught in one of my traps. After dodging his axe for several hours I did manage to find the bear everyone was so afraid of. It was a druid that simply wore the head of a bear and would play at being ond when they did not wish to wild shape. So with little else to do I had to bring the "bear" back to my master who it turns out had done this as a lesson to teach me humility.... Then as further lessons I had to tend to the stables for a week to get better acquainted with the horses..."
Onyx picks his head up from his drink, hearing Emyrson's story. "A fellow ranger huh...40 years ago seems like yesterday for me" (strangely Onyx doesn't look a day over 35) "my son was lost on his first venture out with me. He was a wonderlust type, more into books and the way the world worked than any hands on physical work. Took after his mom that way"
Onyx speaks while staring at his drink, he hasn't made eye contact with anyone just talking out loud to anyone who would listen.
" figured I could show him some basic skills. Ya know hunting, making traps, tracking animals, I mean everyone should know these things. While we were tracking a group of deer he wondered off like usual, found him self face to face with a huge feline predator that was tracking us..."he pauses for a second takes a swig of his drink, " next thing I know hes screaming bloody murder, and I just couldn't get to him fast enough."
He downs the rest of his drink and pushes the empty mug towards the edge of the bar into the pile of coins. Suggesting he would like another
Emyrson grimaces a bit at the story compared to his more lighthearted tale, motioning for another drink only seconds after the other man speaks. His mind flashes back to the past as well, remebering his own son who had not spoken to him in many years. He shook the thoughts away as he was hear to forget the past for a short time, not relive his regrets. "I think that is the end of my stories.... Perhaps someone else can tell one that goes well with a strong drink..."
A stranger walks into the tavern, with a single rucksack thrown over his shoulder. He wears a cloak with the hood obscuring his figure, but he is of medium height. He walks over to the bar a places down a few copper. The cloak moves, exposing his hand, which has a slightly tranlucent greenish color. "Ale and some bread sir, when you get a moment." and the hand retract back into the cloak as he finds a seat.
The young half elf who had beeen sitting alone in the corner sipping on the drink that was made, pulled open her book and began to scribble down her thoughts. Her hand moving quickly over the page while she took her time savoring her drink making her smile every time.
After a few minutes of writing, the elf closed her book and placed it back into her bag along with you quill and inkwell. Lifting her gaze back to the room, she studied everyone around the room that she could see and began to wonder what it is she could do while she was here, granted she wasn't good at a lot but to she was determined to do something to keep her mind at ease.
Finishing her ale she set the mug aside and raised her hand to signal the server, "I'd like another please if that is okay?" She said as politely as she could hoping not to disturb the other guests.
The stranger removes his cowl, but his visage has changed. his hands are no longer green, but ordinary. His face shows signs of scarring long past, but they had faded over time and are not as prominent on his face. His arms also show signs of old scars, with newer ones that seemed only a few weeks old. His clothes show he is or was a warrior, with a short sword at his side and a small crossbow across his back. His clothes are not made of anything special, but they are armor enough. He takes a seat near the fireplace and removes a whetstone and his sword and goes about sharpening the edge.
(Not usually I know a couple of people were away this past weekend)
Onyx finishes his second drink. Hails Regalla over for another drink and another shot. His intentions clearly are to get drunk. "That's a pretty nice sword you got there, anything special behind it or is just a sword to you" he says to the man sharpening his blade.

Ragella begins pouring the next shot for Onyx, then looks to her new customer."Sure thing, stranger." She says, taking another tankard out and heading over to one of the ale casks, pouring one out. "I'll get our resident sweetie to get some food for you."
Arnold heads back over to the young half-elf. "Of course miss." He says, taking the empty drink container."The same drink as before then? I shall let Miss Ragella know." He begins to stride off to the bar to get her a fresh drink.
Ragella brings the newcomer a freshly foamed ale. "This one's a Daleland's homebrew, BitterDale if I recall correctly." She places the tankard down for him, then moves to the entrance of the kitchen. "Sloth, hun, can you get some bread and spread for our customer here please?" She calls through before returning to the bar. "Oh, the name's Ragella, but most call me Rag or Raggy."
Arnold refills the young half-elf's drink with another Angel's Tears and returns to her table. "Your drink, ma'am." He says, placing it gently on the table. "If you are interested in any food our chef creates masterpieces of culinary delight."
The orcs in the corner laugh again as the bigger one looks a little annoyed before he slaps one of the others hard across the cheek, making him shut up.
The kenku clicks a few times with its beak as it watches those at the bar, taking out a few baubles and begins to polish them.
Sloth nods her head, "Yes, yes, Raggy. Oh and let the customers know the roast is ready." Sloth hands out a plate with a few pieces of fresh bread, smeared with a red jam. She heads back to the oven, taking out the roast and setting it upon the counters.
She looked up at him with a soft smile on her face, "Thank you and this is fine." She told him as she paid him once again for her drink. The scent of the beverage fill her senses as she picked up the mug and began to sip it slowly. The tips of her ears turn a soft pink and eyes clouded with memories of her past which made her shiver.
"Arnold, roast's up!" Ragella calls out. She then looks to the others at the bar. "So, since a bunch of you are trying to drink some stuff away, how's a round of Port of Waterdeep sound?" She says, taking out a well kept bottle from beneath the tavern.
Arnold begins to make his way to the kitchen, taking the roast dinner. "Once again, Miss Sloth, another excellent meal." He says with a smile, before returning to the main hall to give out the food.
Smiling in return as she watched Arnold head off to serve the other guests. Shaking her head with a small smile, "What a pleasant man." She muttered softly as she sipped her drink and relaxed in her seat.
The kenku seems to look a little flightly for a moment, searching around the room, then places three gold pieces on the bar. "Thank you!" They say, "I wasn't here!" Then proceeds to scurry out of the tavern.
