"Well Mr Three, I've been part of the Bow kingdom for quite some time. Now I don't go around killing people for no reason which makes my allegiance strained from time to time but they all pretty much put up with me. Of course if anyone does any of my friends harm...." There's a strange glint in Halfer's eyes...

"Why, I'm of the Sword Kingdom," Tempest says dreamily. She smiles at everyone. "I'm of the Doombringer clan, proud warriors of the Sword. Of course, I do not revel in the deaths of others. I worry my kingdom might have the hardest time staying their hand. We love a good fight."

"I am from the Shield, the part of the coast. I fought in the navy and I realized all this damn war thing is going nowhere: of my family only I survived.
So... if there a way to stop all of this...I am in"
Dust follow the party, joining the table, "Then that leaves me, I am from the mask kingdom. Though I don't know if I can offer much help, I chose to exclude myself from them as I had differing views to some individuals there. I shall try my best, nonetheless."
He looks very satisfied with the answers given to him. Well then, the mission. If we want any hope of ending the war, we will have to talk to each of the five kings (one per kingdom) about what drives them to keep fighting the war, only then will our path stand clear in front of us. You will start with King Damian ShieldBearer, he lives in Jedburg, not too far from here.He will not allow anyone to talk to him unless they are important so you will have to do something for Jedburg. There is a bugbear camp not far from there and farmers have reported stolen livestock amongst other things. It is close to the road from here to Jedburg. If you clear it out, the king might accept to talk to you. After talking, he looks at all of you, as if waiting for any questions.
OOC: Being from the Shield, What does Ajax know about the king and his kingdom? any info might be relevant
Does a bugbear camp in the kingdom sound unusual to Ajax?
Does Ajax know how far Jedburg (ad so this camp) may be?
IN GAME:
Ajax thinks about it
It sounds a like a reasonable though dangerous path...
and then speaks
We will give our best to understand if eventually there is a way out, though the plan is not easy indeed... we couldn't expect otherwise... in the first place talking with the kings will be difficult: they are wayward and we are good and what we do but we are simple folks, I wonder if they will listen to us. For what I know, the Shields will be incline to talk with someone who make them earn money, and recovering a theft might be the case...Anyway, what if we can speak with any king, where should we find you to...report...and
after a little pause, his eyes are fixed on Three
What about you, Three?! I mean, nevermind your name, we showed our good faith and our reason to partake but...what about you? what's your reason for wanting the war over? And how you...selected us?
I was like you, I wanted to end the wars to stop the endless suffering but alone my efforts were useless and eventually my age caught up with me. He stops for a second and looks at all of you. I started looking for more people with the same goals as me and after a few years I found all of you.Dont worry about finding me, but dont stop to wait for me, I will find you as soon as I can but if that is not soon, then you must continue on your own for a while... A bit of sadness fills his face ... We do not have a lot of time... And he stops, very deep in though.
"Let us be calm, he is offering a way to finally ease tensions between the kingdoms. We shouldn't try to harm a fellow advocate for peace, lest we be hypocrites in our path. If he wishes for anonymity, who are we to decline it? And besides he is right, this war has been going on for too long, there will be consequences for such a prolonged conflict." Dust says calmly as he places a hand on Ajax's shoulder.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Tempest tries to discern if Three is telling the whole truth and if she can trust him. Insight: 8)

"I spent the afternoon replenishing my supplies, how many days out do you think the camp is? I might need more rations.. Perhaps we leave at first light?" Yahltel is ready.
"we still have time to buy horses and then we leave at first light, also because it would be nicer to present oursevles to the king on horses, wouldn't it?"
Already thinking beyond the encounter with the bugbears

Good. Yahltel, you might want to keep those hidden in other kingdoms, how about the rest of you?

Three takes a step back. Yes, the druid is right, I simply meant that we cannot allow the war to make more victims.

"Bugbears? not a problem. I imagine counsel with the King will require more than that. I know mine will."

I suggest capturing the leader. It would act as proof of your deeds. Now... Any questions?

Its in the forest, I've not been close enough to see what they have. Pretty large camp though.

On horse, less than a day, but on foot it would take about 1.5 days.
