Chromir finishes examining the silverware, picking up the one he thinks will make the loudest splash before turning to put it in the well and seeing the ooze appearing. He looks confused at it, trying to work out what it is but failing. And being confused makes Chromir very angry! (rage 2/2 used)
He drops the platw/bowl he had picked up as he picks his greataxe off its holder, swinging it in a large arc. 15 to hit for 11 damage.
Cassian will move into the room as soon as he recovers from the shock of Chromir going in and then the slime appearing (5ft up and 10 ft right). He then takes a swing at it with his longsword.

The heroes sprang into action! Navrine darted in with practiced agility, her fists and feet striking its gelatinous form with brutal efficiency. Each impact sent ripples through the creature’s mass, and it shuddered under the assault. Doc followed close behind, throwing his spear into the ooze with precision. The weapon sank deep, its tip sinking into the beast and forcing it to quiver in pain.
Encouraged by their comrades' success, Cassian and Chromir closed in with their blades. The attacks connected with a sickening splatter, but the ooze remained strangely undeterred.
Chromir’s great axe and Cassian’s longsword sliced cleanly through the viscous mass, leaving no lasting damage. Instead, the two oozy halves knitted back together just as quickly as the blade passed through.
The paladin and barbarian exchanged frustrated glances, realizing only too late the futility of their weapons.
Had the ooze been in better condition, their strikes might actually have torn it in two — doubling their peril — and leaving the party to fight two oozes. The creature, however, lacked the ability to divide ... because it had been battered and weakened by Navrine and Doc’s assault.
The ooze grew a pseudopod and swung weakly at Navrine ... but the creature was weakened and the attack stood no chance against the monk's superior reflexes.

Chromir will, once the creature turns into a puddle, pick up the plate he was about to throw down, and throws it down the well as hard as he can, hoping to either hear a smashing/splashing sound, or to hurt another creature on their way up. He then storms out of the room to go open the other door in the spider room. "Come on everyone. Lets find more things to kill. We are making a good team for killing things that want to kill us."
Trying to shake the viscous goo from her hands “Great, now I'm going to need a bath along with a rest.” She mumbles to herself. “This place has been pretty deadly so far, I advise caution.” She addresses the rest of the party “Slashing Blades of Death, Flaming Spiders, Monstrous Ooze, I’m almost afraid to see what is next!” She follows along behind Chromir, and prepares herself mentally for the next horror they will certainly face. She pauses and turns to Cassian “Did Chromir just throw an expensive silver plate down a well?”She shakes her head, “Loot like that could bring hope back to the poorer village folk, don't you think?”
"I-I um..." Cassian can't manage to get his words out as Chromir hurries out of the room. "I t-think maybe...At least a short rest would be a good idea. W-we might even be able to go back upstairs for it." He suggests as he moves to reluctantly peer down the well with the aid of the light from Navrine's torch; he just can't resist his curiosity now that the slime is dealt with.
Investigation 16
"Oh, you're right."He murmurs in realization, not used to thinking about help in terms of money. It is usually his protection or labor that people ask for, though he gives food and such to whoever asks.
After Chromir sent the treasure to the bottom, Cassian examined the well, and found that, well, it was a well.
Heading to the final room, the party finished their exploration of the cellar.*
The door creaked open, revealing a room strewn with broken glass and dried, discolored puddles. The air carried a sharp, chemical tang, mingling with the damp of the cellar. By all appearances, this was where the vermin had been imbibing the potions that had turned them into monstrosities.
On the far wall, a wooden shelf stood amid the wreckage, dusted but intact. Among the debris, a few untouched bottles glimmered, their vibrant contents swirling faintly in the dim light.
*I know you guys were thinking about taking a short rest and then returning to the dungeon ... however, unbeknownst to the party, there are no more threats to contend with, and this final room was the last bit of the dungeon. So I saved us the trouble of resting and then returning, only to find one empty room.
Cassian approaches the shelf, stepping around the puddles and broken glass carefully. Seeing the few unbroken bottles, he slides them forward and looks for any labels to indicate what type they are.
There were a total of five unbroken vials. The glass of each vial was clear allowing the heroes could see the potions inside.
One was a flickering orange, and was dimly glowing, shedding about as much light as a lit candle. Smoke filled the empty space at the top of the vial.
Another pair was reddish in color and glimmered and sparkled when the bottles became agitated.
A fourth vial was also red, but the magic liquid cycled between red and clear. When it was clear, it contained a single red bead that seemed to grow in size, coloring all of the liquid until the whole potion was red ... then the red color faded away until the contents of the bottle were clear again ... and another red bead slowly started growing.
Finally, what appeared to have been an empty vial turned out to be anything but. The vial appeared empty, but when it was picked up, it definitely sloshed as if it contained liquid.
Navrine looks around the floor “I wonder how we can cover these puddles or water them down with water from the well to ensure the rats can't imbibe?” She looks around to see if she can find dirt or something to cover the spilled potions. “This place is pretty trashed huh?.”She looks at the potions “Based on the rats and spiders, I guess some of these might be some sort of growth potion and one might be some sort of fire breath potion maybe?” Navrine searches the room to see if there is anything of value left besides the potions.
Chromir debates drinking from a puddle to see if he can grow to the size of his giant ancestors. But then decides that even for such a worthy cause, drinking from a puddle was not a good idea.
He ends his rage, and waits for the others to do clever people things like work out what the potions might be.
Cassian nods, agreeing with Navrine about the need to clean up as well as the nature of the fire and growth potions. "Y-yes, that sounds about right. I suppose the last one is for invisiblity." Putting his hands on his hips, he thinks for a moment before pulling out his rope and the large iron pot he brought from home.
"I c-can get water from the well with this," he remarks before pausing, "...Wait. We never f-found who cut that rat in h-half. C-c-could they be invisible?"
