Ian says to the centaur “ what should I feed them and how can I strengthen our bond? I don’t want them to attack people that are my friends. Have you ever seen anyone raise one of these as a companion?”
Bizren says to Ian “I have seen it go both ways. Once a man was eaten by his dire wolf after striking it with a whip. I also met a female Druid that was also a forest elf. She trained two to pull her around in a cart like wagon. Those two seemed pleasant to strangers but she never left others alone with the wolves.
My suggestion is for you to feed them by hand until they are big enough to hunt with you. When you make a kill, you should always take some of the meat first. They will come to think you are there alpha. When you plan with them, hold them down an extra few minutes longer than they want. Teach them signals both visual and auditory. Have a special call for each of them.
About food.... they can eat anything but internal organs will make them grow quickly. If they seem sick after eating something, give them a broth made with Asher wood bark.
It will help you greatly if you get them used to a harness while they are still young. That will also make it easier to tie them up when you have to leave them for awhile.
The centaur leaves for a few minutes and returns with a sack of items for the wolves. This is on the house but if you decide you can’t take care of them, please bring them to me.”
Ian waits until they notice him watching their work. As soon as he makes eye contact with Droebol he takes out the book over the giant wars. Pointing to a drawing in the book he says “can you make a giant slayer longbow? I will give you this book to keep plus gold if you make me one.”
Boghadair pockets a candy. "I'm going to save that for later." he says quietly, and then knocks on the counter to try and get the shopkeeper's attention. "Hello, is anybody looking after the shop today?"
From a dark corner in the room a candle lights. The light reveals some color in the room. The bright red color of a Tiefling with sunshine yellow eyes steps forward. “Good day sir.... what can I help you with? If you start feeling bad, eat the candy.”

"Um, thanks. I already took one for later." Boghadair says to the Tiefling. "I have some green dragon scales that I'm hoping you could make me a set of armor out of. Am I in the right place for that? "
The Tiefling’s eye perk up at the mention of the dragon. “Did YOU kill the dragon? How old would you say the dragon was .... and of course we can help you with that. We also sell weapons and armor that are made from exotic materials. Will you be selling the unused parts of your dragon?”

Ian says to Droebol “yes..... I was part of the team that was to escort supplies to Phandalin. Gundren and Sildar were waylaid on the road. My team and I rescued them and the liberated Wave Echo Cave. I got this book after defeating a wraith named Mormesk. He was an angry guy. As you can see I am a Goliath. My people have been enslaved and brutally treated by giants. They are my greatest enemy. With this bow I may be able to rescue my people from their oppressors. A woman in Phandalin said you were the greatest weapon maker she had ever heard of in the forgotten realms. Can you do it?”
Droebol stares at the Goliath for a few minutes then turns to talk with the other dwarves in the room. After several heated exchanges they seem to come to an agreement. “I will do it under a couple conditions. First I get to keep the book. Second it will cost 500 gp plus you must gather the ammunition. Lastly you will owe me two missions of my choosing. There will be no negotiation. It is yes or no.”

Tyrus arrives at the staggering goat as dinner meal is being prepared. There is a red headed female barkeep who looks like an elf-Dwarf mix. She is beautiful but athletic. Her cheerful attitude has generated much mirth among the five others in the bar. A man is in the corner with some lighting around him as he plays a stringed instrument and sings softly. There are alcoves all around the room for group seating.

"Absolutely, I killed the dragon....Well...Alright, it wasn't just me alone, although I am a pretty spiffy with the bow." Boghadair says. "Here, why don't you come out and take a look at the dragon bits that are left over, and we can start talking prices. I'm not sure how old the dragon was, 'cause it wasn't like we had time to ask it his age, right?" Boghadair says with a chuckle. Boghadair leads the Tiefling out towards the wagon. "What's yer name, good sir? I am Boghadair, and this is Arafiel and that's Thagakh"
Epheron followed Boghadair outside and immediately the brilliance of color causes Boghadair to have a minor headache. Epheron pops a piece of candy in his mouth. With a quick nod to Arafiel and Thagakh, he says “This was a young dragon. Useful parts there are but a larger dragon.... now that is where the true value lies.” He says as he looks closer at the remains.
”Green dragons deal death via poison. Armor from them protect you from poison. Is that what you want? Or perhaps would you be interested in trading this treasure for one of mine? Do you have other items that you would like me to consider?”
Ian says to the centaur “ what should I feed them and how can I strengthen our bond? I don’t want them to attack people that are my friends. Have you ever seen anyone raise one of these as a companion?”
"Talk about good customer service!"
Thagakh silences himself after his boisterous statement.
"Go ahead Boghadair, Thagakh will be on this spot to eat candy... I mean, to GUARD the candy..... I MEAN THE WAGON!
Yes, the wagon. Yup. No other hidden agendas. Nope, not good old Thagakh."
Thagakh loudly whistles to distract the two as he sneaks his hand to the yummy, delicious bowl of unguarded candy to eat it.

Ian thanks the centaur and accepts the gift. He then goes to Droebol and the black hammer.
After another short walk Ian arrives at the Black Hammer. Inside are several mountain dwarves assisting Droebol on an iron ballista.
