As the sun sets the dwarves shut down all outside activities and lock the gate as well as all outside entrances.  Your group has been escorted to the north tower.  5 Dwarves will stay with you but bunk separately.  You can see outside through several thick glass windows.  The arrow kill slots have been stuffed with some flammable fabric.  It is dinner time.

Arafiel asks again if there is any sort of library

Bram says to Arafiel, “Zed is one of our wizards.  He has his own personal library.  The original library to this keep was moved when the paladins relocated.”

ahh the pity  but understandable

After eating dinner, Ian finds a good window with an arrow slit.  He makes sure there is oil and fire nearby.  “I will post up here.”

"Wake up Thagakh when you need someone to change shifts with."

Thagakh begins his rest at one of the available bunks in the north tower.

As the dark starts to invade the keeps grounds, it is clear that the dwarves are anxious.  The gate has been shut and all living members of the community are gathered inside the buildings.  Outside the gate the sounds of scraping and moaning is mixed with bangs on the gate.  Bats can be seen swirling around the towers and wolves howling in the distance.  A chill can be felt in the air as well as the presence of fog in the courtyard.

Arafiel will do his 4 hours meditation then spend the rest of the night near the upper levels with the guards

Thagakh sits on his bed with his eyes half-open after hearing the howling wolves outside.

"mmmm.... Iaaaan, your puppers need their midnight milk..... mmmmm...."

The half-orc mumbles and slams his body back to his bed as he continues to sleep.

Those who can see out windows notice that a bat from just inside the gate has materialized into a human form and is now unlocking the gate from within.  You can not hear what it is saying as the wind has now picked up to a very strong gust.  If you would please roll a perception check, I will let you know more.

If Tyrus is able to see this figure unlocking the gate, he will raise a hue and cry, then rush out to try and stop this from happening.

The figure is approximately 100 feet from the windows and 80 feet from the tower doors.  The wind is gusting to the point that ranged attacks would be at disadvantage.

Tyrus will use all of his movement to reach the figure as soon as possible, first casting Protection From Evil and Good. If the window is 20 feet high or less from the ground, he will try to open the window and leap from it to the ground to do so.

The firebolt sails past the figure.  As the figure opens the gate, it turns back to the keep.  In the flash of light it is clear the figure is a fanged version of your friend Johnson.  Pouring through the gate are several undead including zombies, skeletons, and ghosts.

Arafiel will sound alarm as he positions for another spell

Hearing the warnings from arafiel, Ian gets his bow and arrows ready to shoot as the fiends get closer.

"I'm coming, I'm coming."

After hearing the sound of alarm, Thagakh swings his whole body away from his bed and rotates his shoulders while swinging his Biter.

As he heads down to the gate and sees the undead flooding the place, the half-orc transforms to his wereboar form, performs the rite of the storm, and readies himself for the incoming horde of enemies.

"This is a night to remember."
