Having slept surprisingly well in the less than luxurious bed at the Elfsong tavern, the young red-headed patriar would order up breakfast to her room, brought in from a nearby bakery if necessary, again ready to spend the coin necessary for this. She would then get ready for another day in service of the Falming Fist and follow along with Arkon to assist in getting a reasonable price for the exquisite armour they are offering to sell.

 The shopkeep will take the armor and buy it at 75%. Would have been at 50% but with some persuasion from Valeria, he brought the price up to 75%. So for two it would be 112 gold and 5 silvers. Minus the potion of healing will make the total 102 gold and 5 silvers.

 You notice the leather is actually dyed human skin, tanned to look like leather. You can feel the hum of magic coming from it but cannot discern it as it comes from the pages.

Gorin will be horrified, but his interests are more powerful so he will open the book.

 Once Gorin opens the book, a wisp of black smoke rises from the pages of the book. It coalesces into a skull and a cackle of laughs comes from it.

Sarris sits outside the tavern, feet kicked up on the nearby stone waist wall, enjoying the sun on his face as he sips a tankard.   These were the moments he enjoyed most.  The quiet moments between bouts of chaos.   The sun.  The wind.  The smells.    Life.

He hopes he will survive these dungeon dives so he might enjoy more of these life affirming moments.

 As the smoke dissipates, you feel a coughing fit come over you. Your already injured ribs heave with effort as you try to breathe. After a moment it passes, but you still feel vulnerable and somewhat frail.

A curse has taken Gorin for 24 hours he is vulnerable to Necrotic damage.

Gorin takes a moment as he feels himself getting frailer, but decides to keep going and find out what this book his. Most be something important to be protected in this manner. And what kind of Arti would he be if he wouldn't continue investigating.

 While not familiar with such things, it appears to be a spellbook. Without a proper way to decipher the book, you are unable to tell what kind of spells are in it.

"Guess not," Arkon agrees with Zim with a chuckle, then a sigh, "Glad no one died. But...there are probably worse things down there than that lady."
