"Sure thing, mom!" Aedion assures - and Spira darts over toward Lathander's knight, while the mystical spear of moonlight reaches Cracked Horn, scratching its cheek as the monster swerves to the side to avoid more damage.
The monster's claws snap to scratch the tiefling cleric's back as she runs to her friend's aid...
But the Sergeant of Arvandor is too experienced to be surprised and the cruel claws scratch nothing but thin air. Aidwyn soon feels the beneficial protective influence that pervades her...
Aidwyn, Rash and Anita are up for Round 3! Any order.
Rash is going to rush into melee with Streak Shoulder and try to bop it on the head with his staff, casting booming blade to make sure that the creature regrets the decision if it tries to retreat...
Staff vs. SS Attack: 15; Damage: 12 (bludgeoning). If SS moves 5-ft or more, it also takes 4 thunder damage
Then, Rash is actually going to do something that doesn't initially seem to make sense... he withdraws from the melee he just entered in order to get a bit closer to Spira and Darvin... yes, I am 100% aware that will provoke an attack of opportunity.
"Hey Spira... maybe you can, you know, do Cleric stuff and save that not-so-honest merchant guy from death so we can question him later?" the half-orc says.
The fangs land [[ OOC: unless Rash intends to use a reaction to make them miss - in which case I will modify the narration ]] and erode Rash's magical defenses [[ OOC: I would say that the 7 points of damage should be subtracted first from the Arcane Ward - which drops from 10 HP to 3 ]] - but the monster has no reason to rejoice, because the cold of the eldricth protective barrier immediately assails him, leaving him shaken by shivers.
Aidwyn takes advantage of this to attack him immediately with a combination of sword slash and shoulder-charge with the shield.
The monster, which had not yet fully recovered from the damage suffered by the half-orc wizard, receives Aidwyn's blade on its neck before it even understands what is happening. Once again, its supernatural resistance saves it, but the rocky skin still tears and contributes to its progressive weakening. It is clear that the battle is taking its toll on the creature.
The shoulder charge threatens to unbalance it - but Streak Shoulder spreads its wings and manages to maintain its balance.
In the meantime Anita has had the chance to take aim with her crossbow and gently pulls the trigger...
The bolt hits Streak Shoulder square in the chest - and again it's only the incredible strength of his skin that keeps him from being pierced through and through.
Frustrated, the monster unleashes its fury on Aidwyn, biting and clawing ferociously.
Aidwyn, revived by the power of dawn (and love) is once again perfectly capable of fighting. Darvin has meanwhile responded to the fury with experience, deflecting the attacks with smooth movements of sword and shield.
Aidwyn, Roxana, Rash, Spira, Gaer, Darvin and Anita are up for Round 4! Any order.
Spira is at first absolutely focused on protecting Aidwyn as she battles the streak-shouldered fiend. But then the Wrestling Wizard revives her hope of getting information from Fonkin, just as the other devilish creature nearly sinks its claws into her husband's precious flesh! She detaches part of her mind enough to at least recognize these two calls to action at the same time, mildly surprised to find that she's able to do this without immediately losing her concentration on Sehanine's holy shield. If she is able to take in enough of the situation to see that Darvin is not hurt (Perception 21), she will remain clearheaded enough to recognize the need for immediacy if Rash's suggested revival is still possible at all, and will speak Hanali's word of healing balm over the grey-skinned creature lying near in hopes that his wicked spirit can still be called back from whatever netherworld it is currently on its way to. Otherwise, her fear for her beloved Darvin will take over in the most primal of instincts, as she lashes out once more with the Spear of Angharradh at Cracked Horn.
Quspira has senses keen enough to notice that Darvin has managed to defend himself, for now, from his opponent's furious but imprecise offensive. She therefore speaks Hanali's word of healing balm over the grey-skinned creature lying nearby in hopes that his wicked spirit can still be called back from whatever netherworld it is currently on its way to!
But the Sergeant of Arvandor's hopes are dashed this time: Roxana's arrow must have killed him instantly, hitting a vital point with the precision that has made the she-archer so famous.
Darvin meanwhile goes on the counterattack: first he gains space by hitting the monster on the forehead with the pommel of his sword, then he tries to pierce it with a thrust...
But Cracked Horn is not caught off guard this time and uses one of his stone-hard wings as a shield, deflecting the blow.
Aidwyn, Roxana, Rash, Gaer, Anita... and Spira? (she took a Bonus Action - she can also take an Action and/or use Movement, if she likes) are up! Any order.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
