I'm leaving the thread open for a couple of days. Since we are all in different time zones I'll most likely choose 5 players at the start. Also approach a couple more as backups.
I do most of my work in the morning from 5-8, then I turn my computer on at 9-10 and check PbP. I check on the thread 3 times a day to keep the story going. This is a RPG intensive game and you'll get more out of it by being immersed in it. I am GMT+2 Paris.
Anyone else need to declare their time zone? Most problematic is Western America. I hate leaving people dangling because I'm european and asleep when they post.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Coriana - Company of the Grey Chain Wagner - Dragon Heist: Bards. Corwin - A Dungeon-Delving Campaign Group C Sharinn - The Truth Beneath the Surface DM - The Old Keep
At the moment I'm running a game with Wyntarvox and he's GMT +10. We don't have any problems. Two people left that game due to time zone issues. It will all come out in the wash, and we'll give it a go. If your character is chosen we'll find some way to make it work hopefully. Always willing to give it a try.
I just saw all the discussion on time zones and realized I did not add that to my original post - it has been updated now. I too am in the "problematic" Western America zone. But I've not run into problems in other campaigns. I can certainly check at least twice a day to keep up, with of course some exceptions for days that get really busy at work.

Pretty sure I said EST, so I'm fairly certain that's currently GMT-4.
But I also said it doesn't really matter to me.
I'm in that problematic time zone, unfortunately. (Pacific GMT -7) But can still post twice a day if there's a second post for me to respond to.

Check out the new Horror classes for D&D 2024. From Unearthed Arcana
https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/ua/horror-subclasses
Would you be open to players using these in your Curse of Strahd campaign?
Yes, no problem. Most of them I've already heard of. I downloaded the sheets just in case
Neat! I would be keen to tweak Vaelar to a Hollow Warden Ranger. The concept is the same, but changes subclass from Gloom Stalker.
Go ahead.
Anyone reading this is free to edit their characters to the Horror subclasses.
I will be closing this thread on Monday, and choosing 5 people to enter the Mist, and two people as reserves.
