"Poking our nose into where it doesn't belong... who exactly do you represent? There would be better understanding if you were clearer. What exactly should we not be poking around into? I warn you not to threaten us... if I see you threatening me or my friends again, I swear, I will beat the pulp out of you. Did you have an agreement with this woman in the Burqa on the ground? It will end up like that for you, if you come at us again..." Krakan stands to his full, large height and flexes his muscles, eyes glinting with fury. He stands beside his friends and does not move toward her. After seeing their willingness to continue the battle, he stands down and at the ready, holding an action to strike her if she walks back toward them in a threatening manner.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Dark Leathers lets out a short laugh "I am just a messenger and if you don't know what got you marked then more the fool you are. You should let sleeping dogs lie. Here is a hint. If they can afford me then they are flush with money"
With that Dark Leathers walks into the busier street and vanishes out of sight.
Krakan has a frustrated look on his face as he walks back to the body of Burqa, bending down and examining her, removing her face covering, trying to recognize her. Then he searches her pockets, looking for anything useful, anything that would give a clue as to who sent her after them. "Likely not, but won't hurt to check." He checks each of her pockets, looking for anything useful. Afterwards, he says to all of them, "I think we need to leave here, and quickly. Before she returns with reinforcements, or she sends the Shurta after us. Let's go from here, if you all agree.." Krakan shrinks down to his usual Goliath size, then follows up with "We need to go somewhere and rest, recover, and reflect on what has happened here."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Salty watches the woman walk away in silence. He said his peace, she said hers. At least for now it was over.
He used a bit of Burqa's robe or cloak to wipe the blood from his sword before sheathing it. He watches Krakan thoroughly search the body for clues or anything of value. "Might I be havin' them prayin' beads?" he asks. He then takes a moment to examine them more closely. His brows furrowed for a moment before tossing them to Samir. "I'm not fer knowin' 'bout these. Samir, maybe yer fer a bit more knowin'."
When the group is ready to leave he suggests a different place to stay, a bit farther removed from the blood stained alley.

"Sounds like she's fer buyin' tonight. The least she's fer doin' fer magicin' me. Even said 'scuse me 'n everythin'," he reiterates. The party did not start that fight, but they were quick to respond when the threat presented itself. He offered the others a large, toothy smile. "I'm fer tie'n one on to be sure. Lucan punctured and previously poisoned to near death, but on the mend adds, "I've been better."He spits out blood.
He walks with a sluggish step, but measured and steady,"We need to get some coins folks and I want to buy some antitoxin vials. We should focus on improving ourselves and our gear. While you folk held up pretty well, we got lucky."
OOC - cross reference ticket p/u time to current date. Lucan will help others investigate or he can investigate too.
"A secure resting place would be most welcome and some spirits to ease these wounds just a bit perhaps."
Lucan examines the ticket closely and the last period, which is a bit larger than the other periods, after the word donated when examined closer has a flower design in it.
Away from Burqa, Lucan points this out to the others,"Hey, these something on this ticket that stands out if you look real close. What do you folks think?"
"Is it a symbol of the establishment or a code for something else? Should we go back and see if we can get anything out of them? The name might have some significance. BAB AL-NUR BRANCH? The flower doesn't seem to fit to me though. Why would you make it difficult to notice."

Salty looks around and hear the sound of footsteps approaching. When looking down the larger street you see 3 Shurta officers coming towards the Siren of Shams tavern.
What do you do?
The alley only leads to the larger street where there are plenty of people going about their business. So, blending in with the crowd is an option.
"We're not fer havin' much time, yon Shurtas 'er fer bein' here soon," he says, motioning his head in the direction of their approach. "Er we fer trustin' them wit fair dealin's?"
Salty had no issue with the truth and honest guards working in a fair system. He didn't, however, know much about the integrity of these guards, after all it was corruption that they were investigating.

Lucan lowers his voice, "Let's use the alley and move away from the area casually. Lets move to a safe place to relax and recover. Why chance a corrupt Shurta when it's not necessary. If they track us that's different. I have no problem with the law if you want to talk."
Lucan moves with the others regardless of whether it's to talk to the Shurta or move away from them.

He kept his eyes peeled for another watering hole with rooms for rent.

“I suspect there are one or more of the Shurta in on this crime, so talking to them would not be helpful. They likely won’t believe us. Let’s move away, blend in, move quickly now.” Krakan saunters along, adjusting his clothing so the cut from Dark Leathers is covered over, adjusting his equipment so that nothing is visible. He begins blending into the people on the street, moving with his companions as they move to leave the area.
