“That sounds like a plan to me.... Vaalu, there are some runes on this staff. If you don’t mind I will take some time with it during my shift or maybe Nylin should to try and figure out what they mean. Then I will be happy to give it back or share it with whoever it’s suited for. Provided you’re okay with that.”
Ismark pulls the wagon over to an area that will give you some cover and allow you to see in most directions around you. Ismark makes a small fire and prepares some food for all of your that he brought along.
**Whoever takes some time to investigate the quarterstaff finds that it is a Weapon of Warning**
**Who's on first shift? Faron and Vaalu? Ismark and Ireena can help too.**
Andres explains the staff and it’s properties. “This will become quite handy when keeping watch. Only one if us can use it though. Who can make the best out of it? I don’t think I’m strong enough to handily use it as a weapon.”
"We should make camp" Brom says. "We could use the rest. I'll take 4th watch with Nylin. Even though, I don't believe much sleep will had this night. Not out here." Brom adds "Plus we already got some firewood." Brom lets out an exhausted chuckle.
Brom pulls out his bedroll and lays it between the fire and the wagon.

Vaalu appears relunctant at first, but will concede without further word. In the interim, she'd assist putting the camp together. "I guess that is up to Alex-y, then." She comments, after hearing everyone's response to the offer. If at that point the human doesn't take it, she'll spend part of her watch gradually getting attuned to the weapon. But before then as a matter of extra caution, she goes around gathering what extra dried and brittle twigs she can, and scatter them, forming a perimeter encircling as much of the camp as she could from forty to fifty feet around.

**I'm just going to fly through the long rest, I rolled and nothing happened**
You all take turns keeping watch and letting each other rest. You hear the occasional distant howl, or skittering creature, but none are close enough to cause alarm. Morning comes, and the landscape becomes illuminated again, although the sky is still full of rolling dark grey clouds. Now that its day you can see further then before but the mist still obscures things a bit. You all re-board the wagon and Ismark takes you on down the road. After only a short time you can see, just off the road, is a very large wood and stone windmill.
Alexander Wenzel Eusebius Beaumont Lvl 3 | Human | Paladin/Oath of Vengeance
Seeing the large structure he turns to Ismark, "Hey Ismark, do you or your sister have any knowledge on this windmill? Seems like a good hiding place for something we might want to avoid." To the rest of the group, "Though I believe we should bypass this place, I ask if any of you want to go check out the place?"

Vaalu perks up at the mention of the windmill, and squints at it. "You could be right. It could also be place to uncover more about our ultimate goal."She frowns and looks to the others. "But is long shot. Unless there is dragon home beneath windmill, nothing we heard of fortune pertains to a windmill, I think? I would ask the woods, but... this Strahd's influence prevades everything, deluding my sense too much to be certain. I... am sorry."

watching the windmill come into view "Aye it could be somethin or it could be nothin. If nothin else we might be able to see farther down the road from up top." Brom puts a hand under his chin "If ya lookin for volunteers, then I volunteer to go and take a look. But don't be takin the wagon far in case there is somethin." When the wagon gets to the windmill, Brom hops off the back and walks towards the base of the windmill.

I remain with wagon and keep watch with others in case there is trouble. But DON'T do anything silly or dangerous while in there. I will be most disappointed if you do so without me there." She calls out after the trio that have left thus far. Seeing as how she needed to be at the ready, she steps out as well, only to walk alongside the carriage to the new parking spot before playing lookout.

Faron
Faron turns to Vaalu. "They should leave this stuff to us. Guess that win yesterday made them cocky." He looks around at the landscape.
I assume we're out in the open with ample wide space to make an ambush difficult and unlikely.
"I better check on them." He follows after the party, quickly looking around for tracks or signs of life inside the windmill but primarily playing catch up.
Ismark says to Alexander, "I've been out this way only once before when I was young, I remember the windmill looking a bit more.. active. It looks worse for wear now."
Brom - You can see some fresh looking shoe prints in the soft dirt nearby. You can see some that look like an adult woman, and some that are smaller, children perhaps.
Anders - You walk up towards the front entrance, the whole structure seems to lean forward and to one side, as though trying to turn away from the stormy gray sky. You see gray brick walls and dirt-covered windows on the upper floors. A decrepit wooden platform encircles the windmill above a flimsy doorway leading to the building’s interior. Perched on a wooden beam above the door is a raven. It hops about and squawks at you, seemingly agitated.
"I've found some fresh prints here. Looks like an adult woman and perhaps a small child. We should be on guard, they could have been seeking shelter through the night."

Brom stops in his tracks upon seeing the two girls. He quickly puts away his weapons "Whoa there little lassies. We were just traveling down the road and came across this windmill and wanted to check it out. Who are you and what brings you out here?" Brom says in Common. "Where are you Maw or Paw?"
