Tisnip will blink and look flattered and laugh a bit. "I wouldn't say I'm powerful, not yet. I hope to be soon though."She'll stay back with Thrash, letting Rajiira take the lead. "I haven't known you very long," she whispers to Thrash as she gives him an assessing look. She doesn't like this place either but it's clear that he's in a lot of distress. "But I can say that your behavior in this house is a lot different from how you were when we met in the mists. This place is...a little jarring to the senses, but your reactions have been extreme. Rajiira, can we pause a moment?"
She turns to Thrash, looking for any sign of sickness or other ailment, magical or physical. This is a haunted house, after all, and Thrash had been hit during the fight with the armor. She looks at those places as well for any kind of infection or maybe where a poison could get in.
(OOC: I don't know what kind of check this would be. Medicine? Religion? Insight? She's mainly looking for anything about him that she can match up to what she'd know about people acting so out of character and scared.)
Rajiira would stop, though she heard the chanting coming from somewhere nearby, keeping both her ears back to listen in case whatever it was was moving, or had something guarding it. Shakign her head Rajiira would say "You have a good point... Rajiira is ashamed she did not think of that as well. This one was thinking to linearly, Rajiira thought perhaps this was his normal behavior, but Rajiira did not think that perhaps he was under some effect.... This one is sorry for her negligence." she would say, planting a kiss on the back of Thrash's head, as he was being inspected, as an apology. "Rajiira knows much about the undead, however Rajiira believes healing would be more your demense. So this one will make sure nothing sneaks up on us while you do, or atleast I will try, despite my eyes, this one is having trouble seeing down here." she admitted. Standing at the ready once more. (Perception: 15)
Readying her Dodge once more before adding "Though this one also thinks perhaps we should find the rest before going further? Safety before suicide, yes?"
"I was stupid to wander off..." Thrash will say while hanging his head " I felt fine until I stormed off downstairs alone... I was just so angry at the thought being fooled into entering this death trap by a couple of ghosts children..." Thrash will pause a moment trying to think back to all the events leading up to this point "When I saw the skeletons on the floor in the attic, I know they belonged to the children we saw outside and I got angry and went downstairs... While I was downstairs I felt something in me change and things that I didn't notice before were now terrifying... That was why I quickly turned and ran back up stairs to all of you. You guys were talking about how they both seemed nice, but When I came back upstairs I only ever saw the little girl ghost.
Thrash's eyes will move from the floor back to Tisnip, looking her in the eyes before turning to lock eyes with Rajiira "Please... fix me..." His eyes pleading desperatly
OTC feels her hand fall on the jewelry box, its worth discernible even from her fingertips, she quickly pockets the entire box.
Tisnip - give me an insight check
Rajiira, Thrash and Tisnip - The Hallway heads north or south, from where you are both look equally dark and foreboding. You can still hear the chanting but can't make out the words or direction of the voices.
**without giving you any information your character wouldn't already know:
Thrash went downstairs acting very bold, ready to loot the place. The girl, Rose, instructed her brother Thorn to go and fetch the one that went downstairs. Thrash came up shortly after behaving very different.**
**Yeah, she's mainly working off of Thrash being so put off by it rather than her own knowledge. No one knows your own body better than yourself! 8D **
Tisnip - You've only known Thrash a short time, but you look at him now comparing him to a short time ago. His body language is very different, his facial expressions aren't the same, and it seems like he is being effected by some outside force. This doesn't seem like a simple case of nerves getting to him.
** based on that insight check, Thrash and Tisnip were best friends all through gradeschool and even dated a little while in highschool before we broke up due to to the strains of a long distance relationship when you went off to Cleric college. ** Also, I AM SO HAPPY SOMEONE REALIZES I AM NOT ACTING NORMAL, I was trying to sell it really hard.
It'll only be thanks to her training that Tisnip's eyes don't widen or let on what her suspicions are. She will hmm softly and nod. "Thrash, I do think I have an idea what's wrong with you and it isn't something we should work on in this basement with who knows what down here. Rajiira's right, we should go back upstairs and tell the others what we found." She'll give him a calm and confident smile, channeling the unwavering confidence of her instructors. "Don't worry, I have something that I think could help."
So glad I finally got a great roll! Tisnip was getting suspicious but I couldn't think of how to make her bring it up without making it sound like Thrash was being a weanie.
Thrash will feel a slight feeling of hope and a small smile cross his face when Tisnip mentions as way to help. "Thank you Tisnip, Thank you both" looking to each of them before shuddering wildly as he once again notices the strange noise coming from farther in the basement. "Lead the way...." Thrash will motion with his hand before quickly pulling it back and brushing it off after accidentally touching a cobweb.
As Tisnip begins to head back up the stairs, Thrash will turn and place is hand gently on Rajiira's shoulder. Whispering in her ear from behind he will say to her" Hey, we are heading upstairs if you want to follow us up and make sure nothing creeps up behind me.. I mean.. us..." Thrash will then turn back towards Tisnip and follow her up the stairs.
Rajiira would follow. Still unaware of what Thrash's problem might be, as it was out of her personal expertise. She knew how to kill them, track them, and some bits of info here and there. Rajiira would simply apologize saying "Once again, this one is sorry for not noticing sooner.. her mind was.. perhaps a bit too focused on the task at hand. However it appears She has a salve to soothe your sores." Rajiira walking sideways, to keep an eye on the stairs below, should anything be following.
Yeah, I've more or less figured out exactly what it is, however since my character hasn't! lol. But honestly, grats Rtom, you were clearly paying more attention to context clues than I was. I'm ashamed of myself /seppukku
Thrash, still holding his shield and torch in front of him will slow down but keep walking as he hears Rajiira's words. His eyes still looming at the floor to avoid anything that may trigger his terror, he will reply to her..."It is not your fault for not noticing that I was acting differently... we only first met not long ago and while I have opened up to you, there is still much about me you don't know... Thrash will stop walking and look onto Rajiiras eyes. I hope that once I am back to being myself, you can tell me more about yourself. I would like to hear more about you. Giving a small toothy grin, Thrash will continue up the stairs behind Tisnip attempting not to look at anything scary.
OTC - you walk in to the next room and use your senses to tell you that it's a small room. Feeling ahead of you, you can feel a crib, covered in a lace shroud that hangs from the ceiling.
Tisnip will blink and look flattered and laugh a bit. "I wouldn't say I'm powerful, not yet. I hope to be soon though." She'll stay back with Thrash, letting Rajiira take the lead. So long as Rajiira's also coming then Tisnip will lead the others up the way they came. She'll keep an eye out for any new dangers as they go.
