Thrash will examine the slabs... When he sees the one that says "walter" he scratch his chin with his claws "I thought that was the name of the baby... Perhaps the baby was never laid to rest down here...." He will then walk across the hall to the other set of crypts attempting to examine the names on the lids on the other side.
Alustine follows along, but investigates the crypts, looking for secret levers or panels. All bards love finding secrets! Especially in haunted basements =)
He checks out the sealed one first, as that is his best guess.
OTC and Thrash - the crypts on the other side are laid out in the same way. These ones read 'Elizabeth Durst', 'Rosavalda Durst' and 'Thornboldt Durst'
Allustine - going around to each crypt you can't find any secret levers or switches, it seems to be just a real family crypt.
Thrash will stop in front of Rose's crypt then move over and examine Thorn's crypt as well. Guys, i have an idea for how to keep my end of the deal with the ghosts in the attic. Reaching back behind him to feel the sacks full of their remains. Alustine buddy, I think we may need that crowbar of yours... Thrash will say laying down his lit torch and holding his hand out towards Alustine.
Thrash will then try to pry open the crypts of the two children with the help of Alustine and the crowbar.
Ooc if there's only three rooms down this way, unless I missed something when I was reading where is the chanting I'm from. Or did it Branch off into do areas and we happen to go to the side with the Crypt first?
You both pry off the stone slabs with no problem, laying them against the side wall. All three crypts contain wooden coffin's on stone biers that upon further investigation, are all empty.
Thrash will untie the sacks containing the remains of the two children from his backpack. "I think we should put the remains of the children in their coffins and close up their crypts.... I made a promise and I hope this works to fulfill it...." A nervous expression crossing his face. First taking Roses remains, he will walk into her crypt and kneel down next to her coffin. He will then pull each bone of out the sack one by one and position them roughly where he thinks that they go to form a proper skeleton. "I sure hope this works..." Thrash will mutter to himself as he puts the lid on the coffin and leaves her crypt.
Thrash will then take the remains of Thorn and enter his crypt and kneel down in front of the boy's coffin.
**** Thrash is going to try to be kind of quiet here so I don't know if you want to make a listening perception check to hear him ****
Thrash will open the bag containing his bones and the little doll, first removing the doll and sitting it next to the coffin. As he beings placing the parts of the skeleton into the crypt, he will begin muttering to the remains "You know I wanted to just dump your stupid bones in a mud pit right? After what you put me through..... Being a lizardfolk I am not supposed to have feelings." Thrash will pause for a moment to examine a bone to figure out where it goes.. "I am sure if it wasn't for my father I wouldn't have them at all, but once he took me in... Took me away from my mother..... he helped me to realize that feelings were OK... and that I should embrace them. For a long time the only real feelings I knew where Rage and loneliness. I learned to focus my rage, to use it to be a better warrior. A small smile will come to Thrash's face My father father taught me how to feel happines, how to laugh..., how to feel pride in the weapons and armor I enjoy making..... Thrash will look back down to the nearly completed skeleton. He will pick up the skull and hold it up to his face with the tips of his claws, his back still turned towards the opening of the crypt. "You... You taught me fear... In all my battles with creatures and men, I had never felt fear. Thrash's eyes locked with the eye sockets of the small skull.... A moment later his voice will get lower and his eyes will narrow again "and I hated you for it....." Then his eyes will transition from a look of anger to pitty "But I realized something.... maybe that fear you instilled in me.... Perhaps you were feeling that all your life.... maybe you feel that fear every moment of every day even in your undeath." Thrash will then place the skull into the coffin in its properly place "I hope now.... I hope the fear will leave you and you can rest." Thrash will then pick up the doll and lean into the coffin and tuck it under the childs arm "Just between you and me... Fear is not the only new emotion I have felt in the past 24 hours pulling his head out of the coffin and looking back over his shoulder to see if Rajiira is listening in. "This other feeling is much nicer than any I have felt before.. but it is also scary in a way as well" Thrash will let our a small laugh and pat the top of the dolls head. "Sleep well"
After the remains are positioned in the coffin, Thrash will then stand up and slide the lid of the coffin into place and walk out of the crypt. Once outside he will attempt to move the stone slabs into place to close up the crypts of Rose and thorn "I really hope this works... if it doesn't... I am not sure how I am going to keep up my end of the bargain A nervous smile spreading across his face "but don't let them know that" Looking up towards the attic.
Up in the attic, Rose is comforting her little brother, trying to tell him that everything will be okay. That this time the strangers they asked for help would be able to free them from this curse. They both look up as they hear a whispering voice, even though they're alone in this room. The voice tells them of its childhood, and how up to this point hadn't felt true fear, until it felt Thorn's fear at being stuck in this undeath. The voice tells them that its okay, and they can rest now. Rose leans down and kisses her brother on the forehead, and the two children smile at each other as they fade away, leaving the room finally empty.
OTC - Elizabeth's crypt contains only an empty coffin.
Rajiira - You can still hear the chanting from this direction. Those of you with darkvision would see that that there are hallways coming off of the far side of the dining hall.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thrash will move into the dining hall, swinging the torch out in front of him. The light of the torch flashing across his face as he attempts to look for any items in the room.
She goes left then.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."

OTC searches Elizabeth's crypt as well.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
OOC: Does Thrash know that it worked and that the souls are at peace?
OTC - Elizabeth's crypt contains only an empty coffin.

Perception of dining room 14
Thrash's feet crunch on old bones as he walks into the dining hall. He can see a hall on the far wall to the south, and another heading west.
OOC: I would love to keep moving but I am guessing I should let some other people do some stuff too maybe?
