Braggus manages to keep it down! His competitor on the other hand...Well, let's just say he isn't doing so well. I'll spare you the details, but it isn't pretty. "This team is the winner!" the judge says, patting Braggus on the back. "Here, take this!" He hands the barbarian a small pendant to show he won the game,
And with that, you have completed the first challenge! Where would you like to head next?
Smiling broadly, Braggus hoists the pendant in his right hand. "I give you thanks, friend! This is being only the first victory for the Band of Black Braggus."
Turning to his companions, Braggus seems quite satisfied with their win. "It is being as I said, mountain men are superior to all others in drinking and eating. Where are you thinking we shall claim victory next, friends? I am recalling a temple and windmill, and many other options."
Zeymira asks, "Does anyone have a preference among the docks, the guard house, the temple, the orchard, and the windmill?"
{Which is closest to the tavern?}
Closest would be temple, which is also located in the town square, the guard house is to your east, the docks to the southeast, the windmill is to the south and the orchard to the southwest.

Róisín cheers, from a distance, "Great job Braggus!" She hops to her feet but stays back as she sees their competitor fail. "You too Branor and Zeymira!"
She tries to listen to the discussion, nodding at the decision. "The closest place, the temple. Sounds good to me." As she sees Orunmila go, she follows out the door.
Branor follows, hesitant about what kind of trial will take place in a temple. He was never the religious sort. The gods never seemed to do him any favors so he didn’t see the need to give any in return.
The group, triumphant, if a little queasy, heads for the temple. As they walk through the town square, colorful banners strung overhead from the rooftops, people singing and laughing as the festival has started to get into full swing, the scent of incense reaches their noses, its aromatic smell a nice respite from the previous challenge as the group approaches the temple.
As you enter, you look around, and what you see is pretty cool. Despite being the temple of a small town, you see shrines to all of the gods, though no none is currently praying at them. In the center of the temple is the altar, a carved block of marble with intricate designs and depictions of the gods and their triumphs etched into the stone.
The smell of incense is even stronger here, the various candles and censers adorning the temple, whether resting in small alcoves or hanging from the ceiling, clinking together softly seeing as they arranged like windchimes, the dark curls of smoke, some simply black, some with a soft hint of a more chromatic color curl through the air, providing the place with a calming ambience.
The place only has one or two groups inside, and each of them seems to milling about quietly, whispering to each other on occasion. It is not clear what the challenge is, but as the group looks around, unsure of what to do, someone emerges from a small room set into the back wall of the temple:
Pulling the veil back closed over the infirmary, the priestess of the temple, Kallaya Whisperdawn, looks up as you approach "Oh, hello" She says in a quiet voice "Sorry 'bout the holdup, somebody got a fish hook in their foot, had to help 'em out. 'ere for the challenge?" She asks, her tone soft and drawling

Róisín for a moment gets lost in the sights and sounds of the festival they encounter while traversing the square. She longed to have a moment to dance to the music. And the aromatic scents were more than welcomed. She kept up with the group however and seemed to find herself leading the way into the temple. The place was nice, she supposed, for people who cared about such things. Her eyes scanned the room, trying to figure out where the group needed to go.
The question in her head was answered when Kallaya came out and approached them. She gave the woman a pleasant smile. "Aye, here for the challenge," she replied. "Sure hope we don't have to get fishhooks in our feet. Though it'd be a touch better than the rotted food of the last challenge," she says with a slightly joking tone to her voice. "Please, what is it we must do here?"
Orunmila stood back, though not overly religious herself it never hurt to have the clergy onside when your work involved sharp blades and heavy blows....
As part of the group hangs to the back uncomfortably, Roisin takes the lead and the priestess smiles at the bards words. She begins to explain in a quiet, slow voice.
“Oh, I assure you, not’ing of that sort. Instead, what I have here are a collection of riddles posted ‘round the temple. The answer to each riddle spells out part of the code ya need to open one of these boxes and get the medal for completin’ the challenge. The riddles are hidden, so you will have to find them, Any questions?”

"No competing with the other groups on this one?" Róisín adds when the priestess asks for questions. "Oh, and can you tell us how many we need to find?" Once she hears the responses from Kallaya, she tells her, "Thanks. That's all I got. Guess we get to looking."
Turning to speak to the rest of her group, she says, "Split up to find these riddles? Then group up to figure them out?"
Of all the places Braggus had thus far visited during the early stages of his Akssava, the temples to the lowland gods made him feel the most unwelcome. Seeing immortalized the deities that had cast his ancestors down, exiled them from society, and driven to all but extinction the beings which the Drakish revered, filled him with a mix of dread and rage. Internally, he wanted little more than to smash statues and windows of the lowland dwellers' gods to dust, though he knew it would do little good now, and unnecessarily impede his other goals.
To that end, he seemed rather aloof and distracted as the group received their instructions on the new challenge. He'd by then attached their previously won ribbon to the furs he wore, proudly displayed at his chest.
When Róisín turned to address the group after speaking to the small clergy member, Braggus took a moment to clock what she'd suggested.
"This is seeming wise," he agreed without much thought.
As their small party dispersed throughout the temple, he kept his eyes open for potential clues, but was making more effort to walk slowly alongside Zeymira. He spoke to her in Draconic, making sure to keep his tone hushed as the eyes of stone gods glowered at them from all angles.
"Honored one," he began, his eyes scanning the walls of the temple, "If I may ask, which of the gods do you keep?"
Smiling broadly, Braggus hoists the pendant in his right hand. "I give you thanks, friend! This is being only the first victory for the Band of Black Braggus."

"If no one has a preference, I'd suggest, the temple, the guard house, the docks, the windmill, then the orchard to minimize doubling back."
Orunmila nodded, pleased that they had come through the trial so well.
" Agreed.....the Temple. And lets hope that's the last food based test."
She turned to lead the way....

Branor hangs back uncomfortably letting someone more familiar with dealing with the clergy speak first.
Although shy, Zeymira does manage to nod while saying "Yes."

Zeymira starts looking around for riddles, starting with looking for something along the walls.
{I assume perception or investigation would be needed. I'm rolling both, but if we get a choice, Zeymira will focus on investigation}
Investigation: 23
Perception: 17

Interupted from her investigation of the walls, Zeymira responds, "Hmm? I pray to Garl when I pray at all, which I admit isn't often. What about you?"
Orunmila begins pacing the room heading over towards the rear wall as her eyes dart about....
Investigation- 12
Perception- 17
