(The tunnel and the hole are the same thing, I just used different phrasing. A tunnel is a more accurate description I would say.)
One by one, the party makes their way across the plank to safety on the other side. The tunnel at the end of the room leads downwards into the rock wall at an incredibly steep angle, away from the direction of the chasm.
Zozzie remained on the near side as long as he could as an anchor. He held his breath as Zbornak barely made it. He willingly accepted Cadences 'Guidance', but was very impressed with Zyrelle's grace. At the last (or just before Amaranth) he finally crossed, followed closely be Night Watch (the spirit animal). The racoon like creature probably tried to gobble up any of the small spiders lingering about, trying to avenge Sergeant Bakh's demise.
"Should I try to scout ahead, or should we just go in-force down the tunnel? That artifact isn't going to secure itself?" The ranger arms himself for melee combat regardless of the decision.
After updating her map, Zyrelle looks at the ladder going down the hole. "I have to admit, I'm not looking forward to climbing down that while carrying a staff. Do we need to climb one at a time, or is this ladder strong enough to hold all of us?"
The tunnel goes down and down, and eventually the ladder comes to an end, forcing you to inch down the slope is if you were trying to walk on a playground slide. After some time, the tunnel begins to flatten out and opens up into a new cavern, with one passageway on either side of you.
Zozzie looks around the chamber. Using the light from his Produce Flames cantrip, he tries to discern any tacks or markings that might indicate what the group could expect, or which direction any threat might be located. (OOC: leaving roll up to the DM, unsure if you’d like Perception, Nature, Survival, or something else.)
Zyrelle makes her way down, with her staff strapped to her back. Once she gets on level footing again, she returns the staff to her hand. It still has the light spell cast on it, so it lights up the area clearly.

Zozzie sees only a greater concentration of spider webs, particularly to the left.
Cadence advance down the tunnel, and comes across a chamber with a pedestal in it. Atop the pedestal was a small stone statue of a queen sitting on her throne.

After updating her map, Zyrelle looks at the ladder going down the hole. "I have to admit, I'm not looking forward to climbing down that while carrying a staff. Do we need to climb one at a time, or is this ladder strong enough to hold all of us?"
“I think we should stick together for the time being. Even a moment of being alone can lead to demise…”
he looks back towards the chasm mournfully
Zbornak nods. "I agree, we need to stick together. I'll go down first and set up a lookout, so the rest of you can come down safely."
She checks her straps and makes sure her axe won't scrape along the sides of the tunnel, and unless there's objection, she starts heading down.
The tunnel goes down and down, and eventually the ladder comes to an end, forcing you to inch down the slope is if you were trying to walk on a playground slide. After some time, the tunnel begins to flatten out and opens up into a new cavern, with one passageway on either side of you.
Cadence looks down each path, his limited vision not allowing for much.
“Left or right folks? both are unknown. Myself I’m partial to the right”

Zbornak breaks her axe out again, and takes up a position to the left. "Right sounds good to me, I'll cover our rear if you want to lead on, Cadence."
(Assuming no one sees anything with their light - we can ignore this if they do)
Cadence moves to the right passage and begins to proceed down its length using his companions’ lights to guide the way.
