This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zbornak leaps into action, charging forward (to the position one square north of Amaranth), greataxe overhead. She swings down as if trying to cleave the world in two, aiming for the midpoint of the mimic.
Zozzie glances to his left as Zbornak passes him, he then takes off and gracefully skirts to the right of Amaranth. He ends his movement exactly opposite of the warrior (Flanking?). As he slides into position he says to the creature, "Your trap is sprung, I now mark you as my quarry." He then makes a series of strikes towards the Mimic.
The spirit racoon, Night Watch, moves to where the worms burrowed and tries to dig them up for a snack.

((Zbornak and Zozzie would both be flanking. Zbornak's first roll hit anyways, and Zozzies second attack rolled a 24 with advantage, which also hits. Also, the forums dice roller can be finicky, so it's completely fine if you'd prefer to roll attacks in your character sheet))
The mimic is attacked from all angles, and it can hardly keep up. Zyrelle's orb of lightning shocks the creature's core, and Zbornak, Zozzie, and Amaranth's strikes leave the mimic battered and bruised, but still standing.
Bakh charges to Zozzie's side, intending to deal the final blow. He raises his great sword and brings it crashing down on the mimic, killing it in an instant (Attack: 21, Damage: 11). As the mimic lets out a final screech, Bakh turns to address the group. "Well done. You kept composed, and handled the situation. And Zozzie, very well done on identifying the worms. Let's keep moving."
The current chamber you are in has 2 paths, one leading back to where you came from and one leading deeper into the cave.

As you skulk through the tunnel, you begin to notice more and more spiderwebs popping up. The walls are lined with dozens of webs, all of which seem to be quite new. As you reach the end of the tunnel, you come across another chamber, and in one corner you can hear sounds of eating coming from one side of the room. As you approach, you see what was making the noise: giant spiders. 5 of them stood on the opposite side of the cavern, feasting on something. They seem to be too busy with their food to notice you though. At the end of the chamber, you can see two more tunnels, one leading to the right and one to the left.
The Ranger makes mental notes of the creatures, and slowly returns to the group. He once again tries to recall what he might know that could be useful. He counts the steps back to gage the distance. Upon his return he quietly informs the others.
”Any thoughts on how to proceed? An ambush, a frontal assault, some other method? I know which I’d prefer, but what say you each?”
"I can definitely draw their attention if you guys can find some place to hole up and ambush them from. We took care of that mimic pretty quickly, but there's five of them and like a dozen legs apiece, so that's like 85 legs that are all pointy and stabby at the ends. If I draw them in here, maybe, you guys can hide in the other tunnel and get 'em from behind. What do you think?"
Zbornak looks at everyone, grinning at the mimic goo dripping off of Zozzie's scimitar.
Zyrelle comments, "My dad would wipe them all out with a fireball, but I haven't learned that spell yet. Best I could do is attack 3 at once with Scorching Rays. Which likely won't be enough to kill one. Still, my inclination would be to snipe at a distance to start with and make them come to us."
Zyrelle nods in agreement, "That sounds like an excellent first move, then the rest of us can snipe at them as any survivors attack or attempt to flee." She then waits for others to comment on the plan.
Cadence begins to strum his lyre. The sound begins quiet but soon turns into a violent mash of strings and fingers, yet the sound is reminiscent of thunder echoing off cave walls. The entire performance lasts but a few seconds until Cadence stops… but the thunderous booming continues further into the cave where the spiders are located.
Shatter - con 14 save for 8 thunder dmg or half on save. (10ft radius sphere)
(oddly enough, it was my character sheet that started freaking out and rolling five initiative checks in a row - so I'll roll once here, as my official initiative roll.)
Initiative: 23

“shall we delve deeper? Surely the treasures we seek lie further in.”
Cadence also looks around the mimic room for any possessions left by previous victims. (11 investigation)

The mimic seems to be quite an unsuccessful hunter, as Cadence is unable to find any signs of a previous victim.

“I have a thunderous shatter spell to get them all in one attack. That could be a good opener since they are together for the time being.”
Zyrelle nods in agreement, "That sounds like an excellent first move, then the rest of us can snipe at them as any survivors attack or attempt to flee." She then waits for others to comment on the plan.
Zbornak tosses her greataxe from hand to hand, and nods her assent. "I love this plan. I'm excited to be a part of it. Let's do it!"
“Very well then. Let’s get the show on the road!”
