Your day off is spent at the only tavern available: The Good Knight's Sleep. Its three drink limit made it the only tavern Comms recruits were allowed to visit. It stands as a bastion of rest and relaxation for weary recruits, though very few citizens choose to spend their time there. The tavern is buzzing with conversation and friendliness, and there is much rejoicing and celebration for no particular reason. Cadence's music livens up the place even more, and at one point the whole tavern was joined together in song. Eventually though, the night came to an end and you returned to your training grounds.
You wake up the next morning, the day of your first delve. You meet Sergeant Bakh out front, as he instructed. Beside him is a cart drawn by two horses. "Good morning, delvers. Today is an important day, the day of your first dive. For the past six months, you have worked for this very moment and I been your superior and commander every step of the way. Today, however, as we venture into the depths, I want you to see me as your equal. While on the mission, I will have the final word on decisions, but do not be afraid to speak up suggest a course of action. We will have to rely on each other, and less ideas gives us less options for survival. As I said before, I have no information on the cave we will enter. No other delvers have been sent down there before. Our mission, first and foremost, is to recover the artifact at all costs. If one or more of us were to lose their life, the rest should not stop. There will be time to grieve after the mission. Exiting without the artifact is considered treason against the Comms."
He gives you all one good look over and a nod, before turning to the cart and inviting you on board.

Zbornak grins at Zozzie. "You bet, buddy. First round's on me."
