Garruk - You have seen a few new strains of fungus that you'd never seen before since coming down to the Underdark, (I can't remember if you saw Sarith) You've never heard of any kind that grows on/in people.
Garruk turns to Recwyin, and looks at him with a slightly uncertain face. “Rumors have it that there are dwarves living down here in the underdark. Evil dwarves, they are, nearly as bad as the Drow. Or at least, so I’ve heard.” He shivers slightly. “Evil or not, what happened to those two isn’t natural. There was something wrong about that fungus.”
Did the dwarves ever move at all? Did it look like they were actually just stone? Arcana check to know about petrificaton - 15
asking the underdark residents “is there any stories of beasts freezing men or turning them solid? Those dwarves never flinched when engulfed in flames?”
Rhogar will turn and say "I think the fungus turned them into zombies based on the feedback I gathered from Sut.. Sut got a much better look at them than I did...."
You definitely saw them move. Their heads tracked you as you drifted by. And you saw them change sides of the bridge as you passed under, to look down at you.
Jimjar says as he rows along, "You know, Sarith never really talked, but I heard the guards talking about him once. They were talking about how he killed another guard, that's why he was in with us. But the thing is, he didnt remember doing it, thought he was being framed. But those guards said they found him holding a bloody sword over the body. Wonder if he was all messed up from the fungus too. He coulda killed us all in our sleep."
"Leggy, would you mind being on guard for anything unusual on my body? Thank you, little buddy." Lucky asks of Leggy. Turning back to the group, Lucky says, "I'm sure my little friend here wouldn't mind giving you all a little search from time to time if you'd allow. It may tickle at first, but you get used to it."
Hours and hours go by with nothing happening. You all take turns rowing, sleeping and keeping watch. After a while you enter a wide open area. In the distance you spot a lantern hanging from a boat sitting idly in the water.
Sut is unable to get a close look from up high due to all of the hanging stalactites, but the rest of you can see from the surface of the water that it is a small covered wooden boat. It has a pole at the front with a lit lantern hanginging from it. You don't see any people on board, but it looks like there is a rope going into the water, possibly attached to an anchor.

*Recwyin doesn't think he knows anything about them.*

It seems to be widespread too. We should check each other daily to be safe, and be alert with anyone else we cross.

zombie sounds right, at least from what I saw
Lucky shivers for a moment before saying, "Ugh!! Gives me the creeps just thinking about being turned into a zombified shroom-vessel!"
Leggy also appears to shiver at the thought...

Until we know more we should sleep in shifts. Stay alert everyone.
Rhogar will nod in agreement.

**Lucky, if you don't have speak with animals this spider has no idea what you're saying.

Recwyin will suggest that we try and stop, hoping to remain unseen while we scope out the situation.

Rhogar will ask Sut to fly in close and check out the boat before reporting back. 21

**You mean Lucky has been imagining that Leggy (if that's even his real name!!) has been understanding him this whole time?!
