**the fight was pretty quick so Bearruk still has some time left**
As you approach the docks you see a few kuotoans emerge from a small hut. They start waving at you to come over to them. They yell something at you you can't understand (do any of you speak undercommon?) Shuushar looks back at all of you, "They're saying something about how we need to be inspected"
Garrick comes up behind Bigsby and places a portion of his enhanced weight on the Firbolg’s legs, propelling him forwards a few steps. “Mmppphh. Mmmph. Mhhhp.” He then resumes his impatient pacing.
Edit: Oops, we aren’t still sitting out on the lake, don’t mind me...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Recwyin is taken aback to be approached by the villagers. Eyes darting around he quickly decides on a new plan
Maybe they're worried WE have the fungus. Let's go in. Please tell them we aren't infected. Still stay alert for fungus or violence. I hope we avoid both.
Lucky turns to Shuushar and says, "You're up, Shuushar. Please remember that we mean your kinfolk no harm. Our possessions are ours, and we only seek safe passage through unless they're interested in something more peaceful."
Lucky then raises his hands and looks for who may be the leader of the Kuo-Toa group at the docks.
Rhogar will keep the scythe blades growing out of his forearms but will approach the Kuo Toa with his hands up allowing them to inspect him. (It lasts an hour so I don't know if they would still be around or not since I cast alter self when we fell in the water....)
As you approach the docks you see one Kou-toan who obviously looks like he's in charge of the others
He's yelling at Shuushar, not with anger, but more like very stern instructions. Shuushar does his best to translate, "They want to perform some sort of augury, a ritual, to determine if our actions are favorable to the 'Deep Father', which is odd because when I was last here they all worshiped the Sea Mother. He says we can't enter the village unless we submit to the ritual"
Bigsby turns and squats to Shuusar, “ I don’t think I could call my self a holy Firbolg if i didn’t allow a holy ritual now and again. This is fine by me”
Your boat glides up to the dock and a few of the kuo-toans come up to help you tie it off. You notice some of them look at the boats, then at all of you, then back at the boats. But Shuushar says something to them you can't understand and they just nod and go back to what they are doing. The leader motions you all to come stand in a certain area, and when he has you all together he starts performing some sort of ritual. He keeps spilling out some bones, shells and rocks, looking at them, and then spilling them out again. He flicks some blood from a bowl on the ground and traces some patterns in it. Every time you think he's done he starts doing something again. The whole procedure takes a little over half an hour, but eventually he nods and says something to Shuushar.
shuushar says to all of you, "He says we're okay to enter the town. Last time I was here it was customary to go make an offering to the Great Sea Mother when you arrive, but I'm not sure if that's still the case, for now I would say lets just go in to town and plan our next move.
As they are walking through the town, Garruk’s fur begins to slowly recede back into his skin. There is a moment when the rest of you can’t tell whether he is walking on two or four legs. By the time you reach the town proper, you have a stout dwarf next to you. The only remnants of the bear that formerly accompanied you is the furry pelt he wears.
Lucky turns to Shuushar and asks, "Shuushar, what can you tell us of your village? Are there places and people that we should meet while we're here? We may not get this chance ever again."

I can go with that, but if it's the agreed on I think I should look for a nearby perch. I can try and hide and cover you with my bow...just in case.
Recwyin looks for a place to leave the boat, swim ashore and find a hidden perch.
I hope this goes better than our last meeting...

Walk right in as a group or prepare for the worst, Recwyin knows he'll stick with the consensus, he has come to trust the group.
Bigsby nods in agreement.

**No, more my best interpretation of bear grunts. Think Trinket from Crit Role**

Recwyin will silently nod in agreement

I don't know about you but I'd like to find a priest or healer to ask about the fungus we've encountered

Rhogar will hand Garruk 4 gold, and sigh as his blades recede back into his arms.
