(Okay, I think we're all on the same page, now. Gordra, you can bring back your initial action and ask Cordelia about her device. I think a plan is in order! Feel free to ask me here or in the OOC chat if there are points of clarification to be made. Depending upon your plan, all will be revealed to you soon...)
As she eats, Perspicacious looks over at Gordra. "What is that device Gordra? Can it tell us where we are... and why I'm Rog and Rog is me? Just what were you working on in your lab?"
She waits patiently for an answer, but is obviously distressed. This trouble now goes far beyond an angry board. Closing down a project would be the least of her concerns when she gets back. If she gets back.
Gordra looks up at Perspicacious' question, "I was working on exactly what you think I was working on my dear. The Well stopped me from researching on their behalf, but they didn't stop me from researching. I was digging in to the space between all spaces, and things were going swimmingly. Is all of this my fault?"he shrugs, "Who's to say. But everything was going according to plan until you and Ms. O'Donoghue came barging in. Who knows what damage was done by you two before all of this started."
"You're smarter than that, Gordra, and you know it." Perspicacious doesn't bat an eyelash at the Dragonborn trying to pass the blame on her and Jean. "All we did was walk into your lab. All I wanted to do was talk, to maybe save some face and your career before the board ousted you, and anyone associated with you." She casts a look around the table at the others and their dual selves."Does any of that really matter now? I'm a hobgoblin, and you're all Thundersteins, whatever that means. I'm not denying things escalated quickly back in the lab, but in the interest of solving our current predicament, maybe we can call a truce. Please? Let's find out how to get home, and what all that business with Vasht was before we landed here."
Jean stretched a moment. "Yeah, what was that all about anyway? Everything seemed fine, but then my perceptions did a flip-flop and I was convinced the Professor was a criminal that was going to kill us all with his reckless mad science."
To Perspicacious Gordra says, "When we were in that strange void, Vasht spoke as if we had been missing for some time. He made reference to other 'leaps' we had made, and other 'wrongs we must right'. To him it would seem we had been at this for a while."
To Jean he says, rubbing his jaw, "Yes I remember quite clearly how you behaved in my lab, but I don't believe you are to blame for it. Things beyond our perception were happening in the lab. I think we would all benefit from being open and honest with each other about any other.. strange behaviors we might feel."
(I haven't forgotten you all- I'm just curious to see where your plans go without any nudging from me. If you feel a little lost, I'm happy to introduce some guidance)
"The business with Vasht seems to have been some sort of anomaly in time. He spoke as though we had leap through time and space before, as I assume we have done to see Vasht and as we have done to get here,"Cordelia adjusts her phantom glasses. The male body she inhabits has no such thing, so he seems to scratch the bridge of his nose. "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly time-y wimey stuff. In short... it seems we have a long road ahead of ourselves."
Cordelia looks over to the professor. Her expression is usually plain and placid, but Gordra can see she seems ever so worried even if no one else can spot it.

A waitress comes by the table to bring another round of drinks. She leaves in front of each of you small crocks of a fragrant, spicy, stew with toasted cheese dripping down the edges. She stands near the table and, hand on hips, asks, "There anything else I can bring you fine folks?" She looks to Rog, "What about you, Sugar? Been a minute since we last saw one of your folk in the Underway. Any special requests?"
Perspicacious looks straight at the waitress, and without hesitation requests, "Yes, some hot tea. Chai if you have it, black tea if not, but none of that herbal stuff. Cream and honey on the side. And don't call me sugar."Without waiting for a response, Perspicacious turns her attention back to the conversation around the table.
After some time has passed, a big, black, hairy spider slinks quietly down from the ceiling on a thin silk thread. Stopping just above the center of the table. It looks familiar...
Amaruve enjoys his new sense of freedom, the gentle drafts of the space blow through his fur and he sways with it in a calm stillness. He listens quietly to the others as they speak. Something stirs and it tickles his senses; that movement...
The big spider descends and comes to a stop on the table. Its tiny feet almost audible tapping against the wood as it turns and appears to look at you each.
Amaruve pounces onto the table and catches the spider with his claws!
The waittress' mouth drops as Rog continues (clearly she didn't expect the hobgoblin to actually speak to her). "A-Alright. Tea, then." Smile gone, she turns and walks from the table.
One other thing happens... (everyone including Amaruve, roll perception, please!)
(Yes, shaggy cat again. I started writing that planning to be a spider, but by the end, I felt like it just ended awkwardly, so I was almost as surprised as you may have been.)
Amaruve casts Goodberry to recuperate his supply.
