Perspicacious is already running back, a little bit in shock after watching Thosn launch herself on to the back of the centipede. As she rushes up to where Thosn is, along with rest of the group, she sputters out, a bit winded from sprinting, "Ah. Thosn, everyone, everyone, Thosn. Meet our new friend." Then glancing at the head of the beast, "We should, uh, probably be leaving, yes?" And then she prepares to run with the rest of the group back to the Arena.

As you all prepare to head for the door, you hear a bubbling and splashing from the water below...

"RUN!"

Amaruve's life flashes before his eyes... And the monster dies without making a second attack. He'd under estimates his allies. Who is protecting who here? His rage fades, and Gordra's instructions pierce his thoughts. He starts for the Arena and Vasht, but trails the others fearing what may be coming behind... (Perception: 10) 

Amaruve, you hear the singular sound of a dissolving bundle of arcane energy in the form of an enormous centipede let loose a death knell in the waters of the bay below.

 (I had intended to post an image initially, but in reviewing the thread realized I had neglected to do so!)

Generally speaking, Jean usually found a shout of "Run!" to be a good idea and she did just that.

Run:

(Enacting 3/5 majority rule: You all decide to run to the arena)

As the six of you (Thosn included) flee the restaurant, you notice a large crowd of onlookers gathering just ahead of you; word of trouble at the bridge has spread quickly. A sheriff's deputy begins to approach you, one hand upheld with a look of absolute confusion on his face. Then, from the bay there is an explosion. Bursting into and around the underside of the bridge is an enormous mass of pink and purple energy. Its surface seems to glisten as it reflects the moonlight, and as it coalesces into a roughly man-like shape, it starts to form loose, bubbling appendages. Still headless, a suggestion of eyes still coats its surface. 

It raises an enormous hand directly above you and rumbles like a landslide, 

"THUUUNNNDERRRRSTEIIINNNSS!"

(Everyone roll a dex save! Then describe your proposed flight plan!)

Gordra would grab Cordelia's hand and head in to the crowd. Trying to hide in the mass confusion.

I assume most of the people would start running from this thing too.

Amaruve follows the others, bringing up the rear, he'll try and take a bite out of The Pretender's hand, or any other piece of the monster that comes close enough, biting 13 for 6 piercing.

Cordelia would follow Gordra's lead, but would take care to help him dodge any rumble and help pick him up if he falls prone.

Amaruve, you (and possibly Jean and/or Perspicacious) take 8 necrotic damage as the hand crashes upon you. Your bite has absolutely no effect; your jaws clack shut as though you've bitten through air.

Dash, definitely dash, and then dash again, for added distance. Perspicacious is sprinting.

You tear through the streets of the arena island (Amaruve, at least, is gagging from the alchemical vapor he inhaled). The crowd scatters, screaming and panicked as the beast gurgles out of the bay. It is far from quick, but it fills the courtyard and threatens to swallow anyone within it too slow to escape its borders.

You outpace the monster, but just barely. Gordra- you are falling behind; your old injury is slowing you down. If you don't find a way to speed up, you will be consumed by necrotic energy.

(The arena is a half mile ahead. Vasht and the novascope are swirling perhaps 100ft above it, a cold white fire is beginning to issue from the heart of the device in his hands.)

**is the necrotic energy just spreading  towards us specifically or outwards in general?  would it benefit me to try to Disguise myself as a random passerby? if not im out of ideas! someone pick me up and carry me!**
