Cupcake gets low and pats her limbs on Ashe (dodge). Meanwhile, Ashe weaves some magical threads through the air, each drifting and binding to the darkest corners of the ship, as once more an infestation of spiderlings crawl along the creature’s wrinkly flesh. The wretched tries to consume the swarm, 12, but fails as the spiders nip and bite at its mouth for 6 poison damage. The creature panics and runs (2) south, but hits its head against Alijurn’s knee.

Dahme'dre points a finger at the critter. She holds her thumb up and sights down the length of her outstretched finger held at arms length, and let's loose a blast of Eldritch energy pulling her hand back with the energy of its recoil, hitting 24 for 5.

"Bang" she whispers quietly

The blast drills a clean hole through the creature’s skull and it drops dead with a sickening plop. For the most part, it at least seems intact, which is a plus. With that, the abomination’s all lie dead or evaporated. Ashe still dangles outside the ship with a nasty wound on her neck, while Dahme’dre and Alijurn remain unscathed. The Magnus’ Cakery sign seems to have covered the iconography of the ship. Reinforcements have not arrived yet, but you get the sinking feeling that it could be soon.

Dahme'dre reaches out to pull Ashe back into the ship. "You OK? You need healing... Or maybe a rest will do." 

"Here, let me" Alijurn, somewhat rudely, lightly pushes Dahme'dre to the side and puts one hand on each of Ashes shoulders. "You fought bravely soldier, good thinking about forging the ships logo." A surge of warm, almost stinging energies flow through Alijurns scaly palms when he casts Cure Wounds on the wounded drow.

The pain in her neck pulsed violently as Dahme'dre brought the would-be spider abroad. Cupcake fluttered four of her arms in the air in alarm as her mistress seemed to be on death's bed. The half-drow fussed half-heartedly with soft, unintelligible murmurs. How could she let anyone see her be so weak and bloody? It was quite unbecoming of a lady.

Ashe was about to protest Alijurn's efforts, but as soon as the prickling energy hit her neck from his hands, she felt an immediate lift in her mood. The wretched bite on her neck closed up and left only the faintest scar behind. Soon she came to her senses and smiled sheepishly, "Thank you, my good sir. Please," Ashe looked from Alijurn to Dahme'dre, "forgive me for all the blood. I do hope I haven't gotten any on you...?

"In any case, we may need to work on our stories... I have a bad feeling we might be visited upon soon," she lifts a hand to whisper to Alijurn and Dahme'dre, "We may need to consider what to do with the prisoners."

Dahme'dre frowns toward them and casts a Minor Illusion over Goran so he looks like a refrigerator. That probably won't cut it. I'd rather not eject them. Her thoughts are clear but silent.

Ah yes, the refrigerator, a wonder of magical prowess. Through the use of simply cantrip runes, one can keep objects in a state of cooling and preservation for a short time. Goran now looks like a square, stone box with a lid/door.

Naturally, it makes sense. The outside is now disguised. However, you do notice that Goran is moving out of the illusion. You can see his eyes squinting at you through the mask. Erik scolds him, “Goran, don’t go making things hard for them. They don’t want to get caught and we don’t want them caught.” Goran scoffs, “Yes we do, you moron!” Erik tilts his head, “Now why would we want that?”

Dahme'dre tries to make the ship signal a danger to anyone boarding. But the control system is beyond her knowledge and inoperative anyway. (History: Discord - 1d4 (1) + 1d20 (4) + 1 Total: 6)

She decides to fix a yellow flag on the exterior of the ship. In some regions a yellow flag indicates a quarantine. She uses her mage hand to raise the flag without going out and risking getting eaten by space chickens.

(What dies this vessel look like? Galleon, Star Tours, Spell Jammer?)

A cross between Spelljammer and Star Tours. It’s a sleeker design than Spelljammer, but still retains the magical feel to it. Kind of like a very large armored truck without wheels.

You are able to place the flag without issue.

I would say that thirty minutes remains.

"So our plan is to act like this is a quarantine? That is positively wonderful thinking, Dahme'dre!" Ashe laps praise onto the human. The drow draws closer to the cage and beckons Erik to listen, "Erik, could you be a dear and sound delusional and delirious when we are boarded? Do you have any blankets or pillows on board? I would love to have you lay down and rest while you play the part, darling."

Ashe brings the party close together and whispers to them, "My friends, I have an idea for a story, tell me what you think of this: we got this ship as a refurb, which is why we have such a dreadful jail attached. However, we learned poor Erik came down with a horrid space plague of some sort, and that it makes him think the fridge speaks. Too much?" Ashe strokes her chin, she seems half and half on the idea.

It is around this time that you hear the pulse of planar engines. Not your own, but off in the distance, you can see several similar ships apparate into existence. They are making their way toward your general direction, but they have not taken notice of you yet. You hunker down, as best you can, and hope that the ships don’t take notice of your disguised ship. The first of the ships flies by, followed by the second, then the third. However, just as the fourth ship passes you by, its engines begin to slow. It passes a couple of yards by you, but makes a U-Turn. It begins to make its way directly toward you. A voice calls out, likely through thaumaturgy, “Attention vessel, Efreet’s Gain of the Nomad Corps. hails you. We see that your arcane systems are cycling and that you have makeshift quarantine signal, are you in duress?” It would seem that they have noticed you, but have not discerned that this is their ship. 

Dahme'dre snaps her fingers and a paper mask appears on her face covering her nose and mouth.

"It'd be better if we don't get boarded at all." She says, as her eyes take on a sickly yellow-green hue.

Dahme'dre calls back, her voice amplified through similar arcane influence. "We were struck by an Astral tempest, but suffered no significant damage or injuries. We'll be back on our way shortly." (Persuasion: (2)31 (adv. 11), Deception is the same bonus.)
