Kent ushers you and Uther out towards the back of the keep, where you head outside to a small stable area. Two large riding horses have been prepared for the trip, with supplies and rations all packed and ready to go for you.
**if you check the bags later you'll find all the items from a dungeoneer's pack and a burgler's pack have been packed for you
OK, I added it to my sheet so I don't forget. He is 100lb over his carrying limit lol :D
Dice will climb up on to the horse, instructing his imp (still invisible) to help pull on his cloak to assist him as he climbs on top. "Lead the way Uther" Dice would say through his imp.
You crest a hill and the see a small stream nearby that comes close to the road. "Let's stop here a moment, and let the horses drink while i consult my map." says Uther, "I believe we need to head off the road shortly.' and he pulls his horse over to the stream to drink.
Dice will allow his horse to drink as well... getting off the horse and laying next to a nearby tree. He will then close his eyes and appear to rest while. While laying against the tree, he will take a moment to take control of his imp, and while looking through Twitch's eye, he will move invisibly over to Uther and examine the map, making note of the route and where they are heading if it is marked at all.
Twitch flies over and hovers behind Uther's shoulder, relaying the map to you. Uther is so engrossed in the map that he doesn't notice. You feel like you got a good enough look at it that you could continue on without him or the map.
"I believe I know which way to go, it seems..." but his words are cut off by a black crossbow bolt that hits him in the chest knocking him off his horse.
If dice does not know exactly where the enemy is, he will crouch low behind a tree, trying to hide himself while instructing Twitch to keep looking (while invisible)
going to ready an attack from the imp on it's turn if It can find the target
Pact of the Chain
You learn the find familiar spell, it doesn't count against your number of known spells, and you can cast it as a ritual. Your familiar can take on a more powerful form, and when you take the Attack action, you can forgo one of your own attacks to allow your familiar to make one attack of its own with its reaction.
Dice would have Twitch move closer while still cloaked and then attempt sting the enemy in the back of the neck from behind (launching the attack while invisible, but attacking will make the invisibility drop)
Attack: 18 Damage: 9 The attacker must make a DC11 con save or take 11 damage on a failed save and half that on a passing save.

You both head off down the road, Uther in the lead. He takes you out towards a main road that you travel along for a few hours.
Roll a Perception check

Everything seems normal.
You crest a hill and the see a small stream nearby that comes close to the road. "Let's stop here a moment, and let the horses drink while i consult my map." says Uther, "I believe we need to head off the road shortly.' and he pulls his horse over to the stream to drink.

INVISIBLE IMP SPY VISION!
Twitch flies over and hovers behind Uther's shoulder, relaying the map to you. Uther is so engrossed in the map that he doesn't notice. You feel like you got a good enough look at it that you could continue on without him or the map.
Dice will recall the imp back and after a bit, stand back up and walk over to his horse... "So Uther, you figure out our path yet?"
"I believe I know which way to go, it seems..." but his words are cut off by a black crossbow bolt that hits him in the chest knocking him off his horse.
Dice would send his imp (while invisible) to find where the crossbow bolt came from, while trying to take cover behind a tree
(Do I see the enemies or do I need to roll perception for myself and Twitch?)
you can roll perception for both of you
Dice = 22
imp =- 12
Twitch can tell that the bolt came from the direction that you came from, but can't tell exactly where.
Let's roll initiative:
Dice: 23
Twitch: 13
Uther: 13
???: 19
Dice: 23
???: 19
Twitch: 13
Uther: 13
You're up
If dice does not know exactly where the enemy is, he will crouch low behind a tree, trying to hide himself while instructing Twitch to keep looking (while invisible)

A shot flies out of some bushes towards Uther again: Attack: 17 Damage: 4 - misses uther
Twitch can see which bush its coming from, he can take an attack with disadvantage if you want, or wait til he gets a better view.
Or since his turn is next he can use your reaction to Investigate the source, and then his own turn to make the attack.
Dice would have Twitch move closer while still cloaked and then attempt sting the enemy in the back of the neck from behind (launching the attack while invisible, but attacking will make the invisibility drop)

The attacker must make a DC11 con save or take 11 damage on a failed save and half that on a passing save.
con Save - 20
