Medifir, the twitchy man, just looks puzzled. Jorgas lets out a hearty laugh, and elbows Medifir. "Ya never met a Kenku before lad? I believe this fellow's name is 'Gamble' or maybe 'Roller'. Its hard to say. Nice to meet you friend. Boy I'm looking forward to get this tourney started. Do you suppose we'll get a game in tonight or have to wait until the morning?"
As he says this a man in formal looking attire comes out and rings a small bell to get everyone's attention. As the small crowd quiets down, a very well dressed man comes out and waves to everyone.
"Welcome, welcome everyone. Thank you all for joining me for this Gaming Tournament, our first ever, but hopefully not the last. I know some of you have traveled from far way to come here, so we will allow you all to settle in for the night, and we will begin early in the morning. An attendant has been assigned to each of you, to take you to your rooms, and see to any needs you may have. I wish you all the best of luck and please continue enjoying the food and drink. And I will see you in the morning."
And he gives you all another quick wave and heads back to where he came out of.
"Ahh, that must be our host, Lord Kent" says Jorgas.
Dice will turn to Jorgas "you may call me Dice" a voice will whisper in his mind. "This way of communication is much easier for me, but some people find it... off putting...." He will give Jorgas a quick wink. Then turning to Medifir, Dice will open his mouth and say "never met a Kenku before lad?" In the voice of Jargas the exact same way he had said it only moments ago.
Dice will then ask them telepathically, "So I assume we are all here for the tournament then? I am afraid I don't know much about our gracious host.... Perhaps the two of you could provide me with a little more information about Lord Kent?" While scratching his neck just below his beak.
Jorgas replies, "Afraid I can't tell you much. I'm not from round these parts. I won my invitation off some chap a few towns over. Playing a game of Liar's Dice."
Medifir adds, "I've never actually met the man before but I've heard he's a good man. Friend of mine that works in the Treasury department says he used to come around all the time for weekly meetings, but he hasn't been around in a long time."
Dice will spend a little longer with these two before walking to the man in the armor. This boy's name is 'Dice', Nice to meet you friend. Speaking in Jorgas voice from before.
"Pleasure to meet you acquaintance kind stranger. This man's name is Sir Evan Bredwir" he says, mimicking your greeting. "Are you as excited as I to get started?"
Dice will Reply back in Sir Evan's voice "Excited" he will pause for just a fraction of a second "to get started". Making a shooting-dice motion with his hand followed by the sound of dice rolling across the floor. Dice will then lock eyes with him and attempt to give him something as close to a smile as he can with his beak.
"If you would rather, I can communicate with you this way if you prefer..." A small voice will echo in his mind. "were you invited by Lord Kent to this event? I was able to secure an invitation but am afraid I don't know much about our generous host."
Sir Bredwir doesn't seem fazed by your telepathy, and replies "Ah yes, Lord Kent, a fine fellow. I met him years ago when I worked for the Prince. He is a highly focused man, very serious. It surprised me when I heard he was hosting this tournament, but I requested an invitation right away. I never would have taken him for a gambling man."
*** I don't think I am a very good thief lol, everyone seems so nice I don't want to take their stuff lol :D***
Dice will reply back in his mind "So do you think Lord Kent has just recently taken to gambling, or perhaps he is hosting this tournament on behalf of someone else? Looking at him with an interested expression on his face. "it seems strange that someone who had no interest in gambling has suddenly decided to host a large gambling event."
"It is a bit of a quandary. I suppose you'll have a chance to ask him during the tournament, I hear he's playing as well." with that, Sir Bredwir bids you good night and heads over to talk to an attendant about where his room is.
A half-elf man standing at the edge of the room catches your eye, and nods and walks over to you. "Greetings sir, my name is Ilolas, would you like me to show you to your room?"
Ilolas leads you back through the courtyard to a large oaken door which groans as he pushes it open. Beyond is a dim hallway lined with ornate tapestries depicting strange creatures and ancient battles. He removes a torch from its sconce and beckons you to follow him into the depths of the keep. The hallway turns eastward and continues past several doors before coming to a spiraling stone stairway.
“You are expected to compete twice a day, once at noon and again at eight in the grand hall, which we just came from.” He says, looking back as he leads you up the stairs. “The clocktower in the courtyard chimes on each hour, and can be heard throughout the entire keep, so you should have no trouble keeping track of time. If you are not at the tournament at the scheduled time, I shall fetch you. But please don’t make me...”
The stairwell opens to another tapestry-lined hallway, and Ilolas leads you past several more doors before stopping at one. He opens the door and hands you a key. “This shall be your chamber during your stay at the castle. You are free to wander the grounds, although there are some areas that are off limits. Such areas are locked, and if you have any questions as to where you are allowed, feel free to ask the guards. I don’t need to tell you that you are expected to be on your best behavior during your stay at the castle. Lord Kent is not generally a patient man, and it is rare and quite generous of him to open his home to strangers.” Ilolas bows and turns to take his leave.

Dice will shake his head no, and repeat back to Medfir "can't read our thoughts" Using Medfir's own voice.
