Looking over at the counter, you can see that the woman there is already gone---although she may have found it amusing to toy with you, she still doesn't want to bear the brunt of retribution.

 

 I spit out the drink in frustration and attempt to remember where she went.

Zunrus plays it kinda mediocre, some notes were off, missed a beat or two. "Hmm for a first try it ain't bad. Lemme practice a little more"

Erik: 

You continue to look for the woman for several minutes, but the regulars at the bar prevent you from continuing on towards the kitchen, laughing as they do so. Even then, you can't see where she's gone, and eventually decide to give up the search. 

The rest of you goofballs:

After a bit more playing, as well as waiting as the kid goes around the tavern talking to the regulars, you're off towards the darker, colder edges of town as dusk begins to drape itself, yawning, over the city, its dark maw ready to envelop all that enters for its final sleep. It feels gruesome and grim, made even more so by the somber task you're partaking in. As the bright sun dips below the horizon, you almost wish it wouldn't go. 

Eventually, the boy stops----having wound into a dark alleyway, he gestures onwards at a darker still shack, its tin roof weathered by the wind and whirl of times past. Bricks scorched, it looks like a soldier just out of combat. A hacking cough resonates out of its doorless facade, making you wonder what's inside the shadows. "In here," the boy gestures, walking in. You can hear him say "Hey, Pop-" before he steps out of earshot.

"Lady Althea... do you think something is wrong?" she whispers, doing her best not to be heard by the boy.

You have good instincts, Penelope, the spirit whispers back. But I can only see what thou dost see... and nothing appears out of place to me that does not look out of place to you. But still, be wary girl.
