Caine looks over to Zealot , "it might be easier and involve less resources to find a powerful wizard that can create the scrolls then to find this level of a scroll on the black market....do we need multiple scrolls to counter ah...counterspells? What does Xexos say? aren't you a powerful mage?"
Xexos steps in, "I heard the tale of a demon lord who has imprisoned countless celestials and devils using a fiendish codex."
Xexos shifts in his draconic saddle and begins the tale.
"It was said this book was filled with the worst spells imagined by wizard and priest. Once per day, the spell on the page could be cast. The crafters of the book thought each spell would exact some level of torment, but share in turn. For each time the spell is cast, there is a chance the page turns. However, the demon lords learned divinations to prevent the page from turning. In Plague-Mort, a Glabrezu boasted of this 'cheat' and exploiting it when the page turned to Imprisonment. The lords relished the power so much, they forbid all but those who could cheat fate from using it. The demons became quite good sculptors creating statuettes of their enemies. Devil or deva, it makes no difference. Whatever feeds their burning hunger to hate..."
