Kaldun glared back at the bartender, he knew he should keep a low profile, but he could not stand her patronizing tone, and in his gravely voice replied sharply "I will be paying for myself, thank you! If I can take down two Ice Wolves I think I can manage to buy drink."
He then turns to Bigark and Boo. "My name is Kaldun Goldast, I am a Kobold fromAvamoore." His eyes dart around the room, seeing if anyone reacted strongly to his announcement.
"And yes I was also at the meeting following the attack on the town. I just came in on the airship."

"'Kobold'?" Bigark repeats. He says a word in Orcish that sounds similar enough to probably mean the same. "I thought no more." The orc looks Kaldun up and down, appraising him. He then shrugs and says, "I Bigark of Truukalawa clan from Tachunka. I here for festival. You 'take down' two Ice Wolves?" he asks, nodding his approval.
Neb listens to Slag and laughs, missing the point of his inquiry. "Nope sorry I don't have anything old. If you are looking for something from the war, you might want try a museum in Danten City or Stardon. I don't make weapons either, I just make tools, farming implements, pieces of furniture stuff like that."
At the Pumpkin Gourd Inn, Betty returns with Bigark's meal and a pie for Boo. She manages to overhear the conversation of Kaldun revealing who he actually is. "You took down two Ice Wolves yourself, you scrawny thing? Also what's a kobold, swear heard that before, but don't remember when. Didn't realize there were reptilian folks out there, next you're going to tell me there are bird people or cat people."
”What Kaldun is, is a hero!” Flint replied as he offered a hand to the Kobold’s back, having snuck away from the smithy and Slag, but not before letting the juggernaut know that he’d be at the nearest tavern for that drink. The place was packed, but it wasn’t hard for the dwarf to spot the odd creature out and make his way up to the bar. “I’ll take a drink as well. In fact...” Glancing about the room ”1, 2, 3...” Turning to Betty, “How about the next round be on me for everyone at the Pumpkin Gourd!” Having been paid a pretty hefty sum for his last job, he was feeling rather generous. “We should be celebrating after all. The festivities should be starting soon.” Leaning into Kaldun, ”Pretty sure I’m supposed to be keeping me eye on you. Try not to get too far, my little friend.”
Slag will thank Neb and make his way to the General store in the hopes of buying some chains, other tool kits, and a large chest before heading to the tavern.
Kaldun snarled and turned to Flint "I appreciate that dwarf, but I don't need anyone to keep an eye on me." He brooded at the bartender's reaction, knowing that he would not be able to find any other Kobold here. He began to fret as he sometimes did that he could be the last of his kind...
However, when the bartender slid the drink down to him he couldn't help but smile and raise his glass. "Thank you," He said to Flint. "Its been a very long time since anyone has bought me a drink."

This smell... What was it? It was... foreign, a mystery. Steamy. This was pie? Boo takes a cautionary poke at the pie, then licks his fingers. "...." Boo takes up one slice and bites half of it off, savoring the taste. "Gorgll prash th cook(Gorgal praise the cook)!" He pounds his chest, forcing the food down, chugging some of the ale, and finishing the slice.
Bigark, looking over and seeing Boo enjoying the pie, makes a comment in Orcish under his breath and then turns back to Flint and Kaldun. "That fly ship," he says. "What kind? It you own?" He looks back and forth between them.
Flint would offer a smile to the little Kobold as the dwarf waited for his own drink. “Do not be worrying about it, my friend. There could be plenty more where that came from if you stick with me. You know how to handle yourself and there is not much more I respect.”
A sideways glance would be given to the orc, ”Ha! I wish I was the owner. Nay, just a passenger and I do not be knowing how it works. Magic beyond me most likely.” Focus shifting to the human in antlers before returning to the orc
Slag as you walk into the general store, a little bell above the door rings, and out from the back, man dressed in blue and white striped shirt and suspenders comes out. His expression is despondent, but he tries to put on a cheery face. "Welcome to Casey's General Store, I'm Casey how may I help you. If you came for the sale on la,p oil, I'm afraid I'm currently out on fact I the shed was storing it in was broken into and apparently used to try burn the temple down."
As Betty makes her way back around, she sees Boo scarfing down the pie and smiles. "Enjoying the pie there Antler man?" She looks at the rest of your group. "Y'all want anything else?" Then she looks at Kaldun in horror as she sees him with a drink. "Who gave the child alcohol? I'm not having this place shut down cause a child was able to get drunk under my shift."
Outside the inn, Tallis takes a seat by the door. His crystal glows within his cloak and he embraces the soothing comfort of a creeping sentience within.

Casey smiles as Slag mentions purchasing chains. "I have chains yes, sell by 5 ft, 10 ft 25 ft, or 50 ft." The he looks at chains that make his beard. "Oh you want heavy duty chain for pulling. Medium grade for general utility, but if you want something fine chain, you'll have to see a jewelry store. Either in Danten City or Stardon."
Bigark turns from Flint as Betty fusses over Kaldun. "Drink good for little one. Make big and strong like Bigark." The orc smacks the kobold on the back with one of his big hands.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Damn it you ignorant wench..." Muttered Kaldun... he closed his eyes for a moment, and then shouted "I'M NOT A CHILD!" as he slammed his clawed fist down on the table, his eyes wide and burning into her. He continued more quietly in a deep gravely voice. "I am simply a different breed of dra... of Lizardfolk than you people get to see around here... AND THIS IS AS BIG AS WE GET!" He shouted as he stood up and finished his drink, slamming the mug on the table, "ANOTHER!" he takes out a silver piece and puts it on the bar.
Bigark begins to laugh a loud, raucous bellow. "'And this is as big we get!'" he echoes. He bangs his hand on the bar as he laughs. "More drink for this little one," Bigark guffaws at Betty. He places his hand on Kaldun's shoulder, looking at the kobold in the eye. "You funny. I like. You good fighter and good funny." Turning back to his plate of food, Bigark continues to chuckle. "'As big we get,'" he says again, his laughter slowly subsiding.
Slag would look to Casey and give her a big smile, running his hand through his beard. "I was looking to make myself a back pack of sorts... using two lengths of chain and securing it to a chest to wear on my back... Normal backpacks are just too small and I am capable of carrying quite a lot!" Slag would say while giving her a small flex. "Perhaps two of the 5 ft lengths of the medium duty chain if you think that would be enough for the straps for the backpack... As well as 30 ft. of the heavy duty chain... in case I decide to do some climbing" He would say, pulling out his large sack of coin. "Also, do you happen to have any tool kits? I was looking to maybe buy a carpenters kit and a jewlers kit if you have them.
Casey looks up at as mention the ingenuity of your idea. "What a fascinating idea you have. So 2 five foot chains of medium grade. As for the heavy duty chain, I can sell you a five foot and a twenty five, but you'll have to find a way to link them together for the full desired thirty feet. As for the tools, yes, can supply what most often would require to start a hobby or practice, often offer the items in bundles or kits as well. If thinking of doing some climbing maybe a climber's kit as well. So everything total would be 9 platinum and 9 gold, or just 99 gold."
Back at the Inn, after watching the display of Kaldun, rather than be intimidated, Betty just smirks. "Check out the balls on this this one, they make Lizardfolk in halfling size now? To be honest haven't dealt much with your kind, so not too up on your growth patterns. Last Lizardfolk came through here was about 3 years ago. With halflings, dwarves, and gnomes easy to tell if reached maturity from the beards." But then she leans down and gives her own stare. "If I find out you lying to me, will have you drug off and thrown into the prison."
(So if there is nothing else people looking to do, we can do skip to the Town Hall Meeting. If there is any down time activity would like to do to pass time, can do rolls for those as well, if they need them.)
(look... how is a warforged supposed to know what lol)
Slag will purchase all of the equipment (only 25 ft of the heavy chain though so I don't have to deal with splicing it together) and hand him the 99 gold pieces. "Thank you very much sir!" He will say as he dumps all of the items into his chest and carry pick it up under his arm. "This should make my life much easier once I get it fashioned into a proper backpack." Slag will then head out the door and find himself an empty area along the road and quickly and masterfully secure the two 5ft lengths of medium chain to the chest, driving metal rivets through the chains into the chest. Once secured, Slag would give them a couple hard tugs to make sure they do not pop off before slinging the large chest on to his back and heading towards the inn.
As he approaches the inn, he would duck open the door and look for his companions and approach the bar. "Give me four of whatever is strong and cheap!" he would ask the bartender, shooting him a grin... before immediately downing the first 3 mugs, A moment later a large gurgle would begin brewing insdie followed by loud "Crack!" as a jet of black smoke fires out the smoke stacks that Flint has gotten so used to on their travels on the airship. Then holding on to the fourth, drinking it much slower he would listen to the conversations going on around the bar.
(If not taking the extra five foot, its only 94 gold. If anytime anyone wants a break down of how am charging, I will provide the list of what charging in each transaction.)
Slag as you join the others at the Inn, you all spend that time socializing killing time until the meeting. So since all in same place will leave this thread open for you all to rp with each other, and skip to the meeting which I'll start tomorrow.
