(So Sayre and Mo are working with the recruits and equipping Jim with gear while Thimbol and Navek are taking a wolf and trying follow the trail of the bloodscales?)
(More or less. He isn't interested in outright pursuit. Just making sure they aren't any surprises left behind, and to commission someone to send a letters upstream come tomorrow offering some old mercenary buds a temp/side gig).

(So Navek, Mo, and the wolf are heading towards the harbor. Are you having the wolf try to do the tracking, or is the wolf around just as added protection? If you are going to have the wolf try tracking and you let him sniff something with the scent of either of the bloodscales on it, you can roll a perception check for the wolf with advantage and with a +5.)
So Sayre, Mo, and the guards make their way towards the watch building. Sitting behind a desk just inside the main doors to the building sits Sheriff Payne. "Hello Mo, Sayre.. what can I do for you today? Looks like you brought me a new prisoner... well I guess I shouldn't say new... Jim here spends more nights in jail than not"The female hobgoblin will say looking from the two of you to Jim. "So what is it this time? Public intoxication? indecent exposure? trespassing?" She will say with an annoyed tone while looking down at some paperwork as though she is ready to start writing what she can only assume will be a long list. "Hey! I only did all those things at the same time once... I got a hold of some bad whisky and had to drop my pants and let her rip as soon as I could... couldn't get to an out house.. how was I supposed to know it was the mayors yard... and him and his wife were watchin..."Jim will say with his arms out stretched. "THEY WERE HAVING A PICNIC IN THEIR YARD AND YOU TOLD THEM YOU WERE DOING IT... YOU LOCKED EYES WITH THEM WHILE YOU CRAPPED ON THEIR LAWN IN FRONT OF THEM" Payne will say raising her voice and looking back towards the man. "Look... I didn't vote for him" Jim will say with a smile.
"Jim your fired. Sorry. You're just not the...talent we're looking for. Best of luck with future endeavours," Sayre says before turning to Mo. "Tell the others I need some time," she replies walking out of Payne's office, then out of town, and then into the trees towards where she knows her family will have made their camp this time of year.
Finding her father immediately with the children at this time of day he knows somethings up when he sees the look on his daughter's face. He excuses himself from lessons and walks with Sayre to a more private spot to chat. It takes roughly forty minutes to unpack it all inbetween anger, remorse, and determination but she tells her father everything. She then asks him for the first time in her adult life for help. Her father, of course, obliges. He will talk to people who will talk to people so on and so forth to gain information about tje Bloodscales as well as put out a call for adventurers seeking to do justice for a fee or for thier Gods to aid them in there fight. Sayre doesn't mention tne sword but her father looks warily at it throughtout their exchange. After nearly the rest of the day Sayre returns to the town a little lighter in spirit than before having felt she actually achieved something and was taken seriously for her efforts. Rejoining the group she only mentions the walk in nature to clear her mind. She says nothing about her father or his promises.
"Mo," Sayre says finding the goliath in the inn upon her return. "I think we should all sleep in a room with someone else for....awhile. I'll drag my mattress in your room or would yoy mind dragging yours in mine? I'd appreciate it. Also will you be my watch partner?" Sayre adds smiling over a mug of ale that she's poured for th both.
As Sayre tells Jim that he is fired, the man looks at her disappointedly. "Oh, OK well I thought this might be a chance to turn things around for old Jim... maybe make some honest coin... buy myself a room somewhere instead of sleeping under the docks at the harbor.." The burly bearded man will say pushing his way past Chip and Gus and making his way into the street. "Yeah I done messed up in the past, done some stupid things.. but whatever. you don't know my past or what I have been through" He will say looking at the ground before walking off away from the watch building.
After Sayre walks out the door, Payne turns to Mo and puts down her documents. "You were planning to hire Jim back... That is probably for the best that you didn't.... Jim been nothing but a drunk ever since the Bloodscales killed his family when he refused to quit the watch a year ago... It is a shame.. He used to be a pretty good guy... but after turning to the bottle and showing up for work drunk... we had to kick him off the force.. He always blamed the mayor for not doing enough to rid us of the bloodscales.. A shame really.
After Sayre speaks with her father, he gets to work writing some letters and attaching them to an assortment birds ranging from ravens to hawks to eagles and sending them off to spread work of the need for assistance here in BlackOak.
So as Navek, Thimbol, and their wolf make their way towards the harbor, they are greeted by the sight of a small child running down the street kicking his ball. As the child looks up from his game and sees the two of you, he quickly picks up his ball and runs over to the halfling and goliath. "Hey! How are you guys today! I never got the chance to thank you mr. Thimbol for saving me from the giant bird earlier..." Kip will say with a grin. "You look like you are in a better mood than the last time I saw you Mr. Navek.. hey! Are those fliers? Can I help you put them up! I wanna help!"The young boy will say jumping up and down.
***Navek, roll me a performance check (with advantage because I will say you were helped) to see how well your drew up those recruitment / wanted posters.***
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I thought that hobo was swol for a reason!
Gonna add some Guidance fire while I'm at it.
For Earlier Back at the Inn:
"If it does, it does. But we wanna play it safe."Navek grimaces as if he just ate something foul. "I really have gotten old." He shakes his head, then motion Winston the Wolf ahead of him. "Curious point. I'm not one for gossip, and the like. But, you think old Leadbelly's rival might have something to do with them? It's a stretch, but..."Navek trailed off there, leaving Thimbol the opportunity to give his thoughts while he focused keeping Winston on track after having him get a wiff of sorcerer's... staff. Though not exactly a god of tracker's, Navek adds in a prayer on the wolf's behalf, knowing biomechanics of a canine's amazing noise were just as interesting as that of a well-made machine.
"Hello again -- I'm sorry, but what?"Navek looks back to Thimbol, asking for clarification with a look about the whole eagle thing. "I see. Well, it is good to see you well Kip. And I don't see why not. In fact! If you got any other little friends at that, let them know there's a bit of coin in it for them for spreading the word and posters." Navek hands over a healthy stack to Kip once he had his answer. "Don't worry about the Harbor area though. Me and Mr. Thimbol here have that covered."

"Thanks! I will be sure to put these up all over town!" The boy will say with a smile before running off with his ball and sack of fliers.
As the two of you arrive at the harbor, the wolf will start sniffing wildly before running off ahead a ways an making it's way to one of the larger storage buildings. Winston will move back and forth sniffing the ground in front of ths. huge set of double doors before letting out a big bowl. The large door to the building is locked with a heavy iron padlock and thick chain.
Thimbol could only offer a shrug in response to Navek about ol' leadbelly. His mind else where as with thoughts of the safe at the mayor's. When the kid runs up to him Thimbol frowns slightly
"Uh, yeah, I think you should be thanking Chip, Gus, and Payne..." Not feeling as if he did much to help.
When arriving at a large storage, Thimbol looked over the doors with the padlock and chains. "Guess we're not getting any further
Navek kneels and feeds Winston some of his jerky. "Nothing a liberal use of my 'Song Sealer' here."He rises and pats the heat radiating axe at his side. "Though a little B&E would probably net more trouble than good. Hm... Come on. I still got a few letters to deliver anyways."He says nonchalantly, though his expression was anything but. With a few clicks of the tongue and a "Come, Winston"he leads the way to the Harbormaster's office, or where he thinks one should be. If he had to pick up and carry Winston over a shoulder he would.
Once they are a good twenty or so feet from the storage he says to Thimbol. "We should still get in there and check it out. Question is, do you still got your tools on you? Or should we go grab the others just in case? Otherwise, I'm gonna see if the harbormaster might have some on him, if not know who that storage belongs to."He says warily and quietly.
Ignore the last part if Thimbol had hid thieve's tooling the Leadbelly's Inn open. Because I cannot remember if he did, Navek wouldn't know to suggest anything.

Thimbol sniffled slightly as the trio walked away from the storage, hands tucking deep into his pockets. When asked about his tools, the halfling said nothing for a time, mulling over an answer, "I got em, ya. "
**I think with everything that's happened Mo would have not just let Sayre walk off into the woods alone? Can we say he followed her just close enough to keep an eye on her, then came back to town before her?**
"Mo would prefer if we all just slept in one big snuggle, but I didn't think anyone else would be into it. Maybe we could knock down all the walls some day so it's just one big bedroom?" Mo says this as he walks into his room, immediately getting caught in the hunting trap that he set earlier.
Navek slows there pace with that answer, but still keeps up the 'act' of moving towards the harbormaster's office for a while longer. It should've been well over an hour since the duo escaped, so the odds were low of them still be around. But still...
"We'll talk to the harbormaster first. Get their opinion at least. But afterwards, we definitely get inside."He states before picking up the pace.
